09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #2

Marsha - I am planning to be here for the sailaway party tomorrow. Haven't made it to one yet but I am going NO WHERE tomorrow. We will set the computer up outside by the pool, have a drink in hand and watch her sailaway. Then next Sunday it will be us! :woohoo::woohoo:

wow - we are a quiet bunch today! WHat are you all doing for teh 3 day weekend? My plans are to finish up getting my house cleaned, and get some laundry done, and plan what to pack :) woohoo

Hey does anyone have the Navigators from previous DVC cruises?? maybe that would give us ideas what "extras" to maybe plan for :)

Marsha, I thought I was excited before but after reading through the Navigators you posted.....:cheer2::dance3::worship::yay::yay::yay: Well, my excitement level is off the wall. I do hope to meet up with you, you have done a fantastic job on this thread. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Karen:cool2:

ITS A GOOD SHOT FOR SAILAWAY FROM ANOTHER ANGLE. ITS SO FUNNY HOW A SMALL WORLD IT IS. YOU CATCHING US IN A PHOTO ON A NON MEMBER CRUISE!!!:cool1:

I know, it IS a small world!!

It sounds like you do have a busy but enjoyable day planned. I know that you will have fun at the wedding. Best wishes to your sister.

Thank you!!

Well, I skipped the pedi/mani....I'll just paint my own nails and then maybe in between the wedding and the reception I'll go get the pedi/mani.

I do have one tip to add to Marsha's WONDERful tips she's been posting:

Grab an extra navigator (or two) from the guest services desk and keep it with your important documents. That way you'll have a nice clean fresh set of navigators to take home with you for a memory book or scrap booking or just to save. And then use your other navigator (that is delivered to your room each night) to highlight or write on or fold up and carry around with you throughout the ship.

You're welcome & thank you. I hope we are able to meet. If you plan on coming to the DIS meet onboard the ship I will see you then

THANKS MARSHA AND DEBBIE FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE. MARSHA, LAURA NOW KNOWS THERE IS SOMEBODY OUT THERE THAT TAKES PHOTOS OF MORE THINGS THAN I DO:rotfl2: Brought back memories of previous member cruises. Good idea about picking up extra copies to bring home. Reading down the list of things on Itinery, nothing against JUDY KUHN but werent impressed with her show. I guess we got spoiled previous years. We stayed up late up top to watch the screening of SNOW WHITE, so cool sitting out in the middle of the water at night with the stars above drink in hand and food from late night buffet and watch the BIG MONITOR on a lounge.:cool1:

how do you know when and where you are to eat each night

Not a dumb question at all. It will be on your Key to The World Card, plus you will have a ticket in your room. Only double check that what is on your KTWC and ticket is right. Last year they were printed incorrectly on one of the two, I can't remember which one but we had to be sure to go by the correct one! ;) Hope I didn't confuse you. :rolleyes1

Not a dumb question at all. Not only will you get a ticket with your dining rotation in you stateroom with the info, but also, the info will be on your KTTW card that you will receive when you check in.

On the card above, F1 meant first seating. TAAP meant the dining rotation: Triton's, Animator's Palate, Animator's Palate, & Parrot Cay. Table:61 is the table where we were seated.

For those in multiple staterooms, make sure the dining rotations on your KTTW cards match.

Once, we had info didn't match, and we showed up at late seating when they had early seating....they accomodated us at the restaurant, but it took a little doing and things were goofed up all week....

Is there any way to know the dining rotation BEFORE next Sunday???

Wish I knew. But I don't. Any one else? :confused3

So, am I the only pathetic sole home on a Holiday Weekend just hanging out on the computer??????? :rotfl2: Story of my life. :rotfl:

Well, I do have to go get the youngest DD from school here in a little bit. She went to a Latino Heritage Festival down in Des Moines today for her Spanish class in school. She is on her way home and I have to go get her here soon. She just has to call me. But other than that, I am here.

So where is everyone?????? :rolleyes1

OK, I have a question. . .. . . . .

Does anyone have an E-Reader??? Or an E-Book thing?

Me and DH were looking at them today and he thinks it would be great. But he is an IT Administrator and is all about technology. Me,not so much. I'm really technically challenged. Still have many problems with my digitial camera. So just wondering if anyone has one or knows about them. He is sick of my books lying all around the house or the boxes of them I have downstairs. But I do reread many of the books I have, several times over.

So just wondering if anybody has one of these e-readers and has experience with them and can tell me about them and about downloading books.

Next week we will be at Vero Beach right now. Gosh so close but yet so far away. . . . . :rolleyes1
