Bahamamamarecipecard.jpg

This is VERY IMPORTANT recipe!!!!:rotfl2:

Oooooooo, sounds so good.
We are having 10 over from BBQ tomorrow so im going to make a big container of Disney BAHAMAMAMA!!!!

What time? We'll try to make it. :rotfl2: I can bring my own glass like that so you don't run out. :thumbsup2

Have fun at your BBQ.
Good Morning all!!! I was sooo tired I went to bed at 930pm last night!!! Good thing because the girls were up at 5am:scared1::headache::scared1:!!! I am gonna strangle those two.....anyway since I was up before the sun I decided to do some :laundy: and work on my FE - I have th gifts done - but the FE itself isnt even thought of.....oh and I have magnets to do too.....that is the plan for today...until DHs fantasy football draft and then I HAVE to entertain a few wives....don't get me wrong I love most of the wives of DHs friends but I really dislike the assumption that I will entertain because the men will already be here....Debbie - what were you saying about NO ME TIME!!!:rotfl: I totally understand!!! One day I hope we have someone willing to keep ours even just overnight so we can have some time without children....oh wait maybe they would keep DH too then I could do what I WANT!!!:lmao::lmao: Sorry I am so evil - that's what happens when I get up at 5am against my will!!

You are not evil at all. It is so unusual to be home alone that it is a pure pleasure when you are able to spend quality time with yourself. I understand about wanting someone to take the kids, just for the night, but now that our kids are older they go to their rooms so we don't see them alot when they are home. So, hang in there. You will get that time one of these days.

Just checked out the Port Canaveral Cam and there she sits. I wish we could see her better. But she is there none the less. I'm not sure if I will be here for the sailaway party today. Have to go to a cousins Pampered Chef party. But, DH might get on he said. We'll see. He never has before but there is always a first for everything. ;) I do so love to see it set sail though. I will try to make it, but that is 4:00 o'clock here and the party is at 2:00 and we live a little over an hour away. So, I will probably miss it. Bummer.

Chris, if she has internet access, just excuse yourself and log on ...

What about your clothes? I hope you have room to bring more than one outfit and your pirate costume.

just let us know if he begins to smell a little ripe :rotfl:

Some of the tips below really do not apply for this cruise but will be helpful for your next DCL cruise which I know you will be taking. :goodvibes

BEFORE YOUR CRUISE
1. Join your cruise meet thread & participate. That way you get to know some of the people with whom you are cruising. It makes the cruise so much fun. Of course, you have already done this one.

2. If you don't already have it, order the cruise DVD from reservations - then plays it for you kids often! They will be more comfortable with what to expect and it "extends" your vacation by thinking about the fun before you even get there! Too late for this one. But, posting pictures here has been helping with what to expect. So, continue to post pictures.

3. Arrange to have your mail held and stop your newspaper delivery.

4. DO your cruise documents online, PRINT THEM OUT AND BRING THEM WITH YOU!

5. If you're doing Disney excursions sign up online before your cruise OR

6. Check out the shore excursion info on the DCL website and then contact the vendors directly. You can sometimes save a bundle on the very same event. When one DISer went on the Mexican Rivera cruise the Dolphin encounter with all the bells and whistles booked through the ship would have been $300+, but when the place was contacted directly the same excursion including the DVD was $75+/-. You will have to make your own transportation arrangements there and back and won't get the lunch if it is included in the DCL package but the savings more than offsets that.

7. Use a label maker to tag everything that might leave the room. One DISer got his/her disposable camera back this way. Make and bring extra labels in case you forget something.

8. Turn off the water to your house. If your water heater decides to go while you are gone, or the water line to the fridge goes, or a hose on the washer goes, etc. you will not have a mess when you come home.

9. Put contact info on your memory cards for your camera or on tape media if using a camcorder. If you drop them you might be able to get them back.

10. Take advantage of the ability to send a box to the ship ahead of time - a great way to get FE gifts or pirate gear on board without giving up valuable luggage space. In the box, include what you want to ship and a packing list detailing the contents of the box. Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

11. Type up address labels to apply to postcards. That way you and your family have the addresses at hand and you just peel and stick onto the postcard, write your private message and then send. Also, at the end of the cruise you will get color coded luggage tags to put on your luggage. Information needed is: (1) Number of pieces of luggage (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3), (2) Stateroom number, (3) Name, (4) address (including city, state and zip code). Make those up in advance on your address labels. Then when you have to pack it will make it a little quicker. Plus by being printed it is easier for the porters who unload the ship to help keep your pieces together. Tag measures approximately 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall to help you figure out which size label to use. Or, use the freebie address labels that you get in the mail.

When I figure out how to post pictures I will. Maybe that will keep me busy until we sail away. I need something to do. I'm going to work on my magnets.:dance3:

Same here, some errands on Sunday and get my door stuff done, of course we are on 5000 on the end you will only see during the drill but I know it is decorated ;)

Here is my absolute favorite picture that we've ever gotten on a DCL cruise.

DCLJE.jpg

This was on pirate night. DH asked the DVC rep if he would get something for putting a DVC tattoo on his face. The guy told him that he would definitely make sure to give him something special if he did that. So, on pirate night he put the pirate Mickey tattoo and the DVC logo tattoo on his face!

Nice very nice

PHOTOGRAPHERS, SHUTTERS, & LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS
1. Lifestyle portraits! If you are planning to have one done, the only background choice is white, so plan clothing choices appropriately. In addition, there are backdrops out every night to have pictures taken in front of. So, come down early before dinner, find the one you like best and get in line for a family picture.

2. You can have Christmas Cards made on the ship using one of the pictures that Shutters photographers have taken of your family.

3. Bring at least one color coordinated/matching outfit for the entire family.

4. When you see the Shutter's staff, drag (ask them) nicely over to photograph your kids, you, etc. rather than wait from them to ask - you will have a lot more pictures to choose from later.

Milford and I are going to try for the Lifestyle with the white background, I want 4 for above the bed

HI , this is our 4th DVC cruise. Every cruise is different. You get little gifts twice a day in your cabin. They also have DVC merchandise on board. But with a ship load of DVC nuts it sells out fast depending on your size for shirts ETC. You will get 2 or 3 of the same thing each time you get a gift . 1 for each person in cabin.

Bring an extra bag to get the stuff home
