OH NO ANOTHER LADY DRIVER:scared1::rotfl2:I GUESS OUT IN IOWA THERE IS LOTS OF OPEN SPACE LESS TO HIT!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE!!!!!!

OK I KNOW IM LIVING DANGEROUSLY COMMENTING ON LADY DRIVERS:rotfl2:THERE ARE TOO MANY IN HERE THAT MIGHT THROW ME OVERBOARD ON THE CRUISE.:rotfl2:

Marsha when we stayed at Kidani Village we also went to the Community Center with DGD. She had a ball coloring and making her own button. My DH & DSIL played pool. Everyone was so nice. I'm excited that your DD is 3 the same age as my DGD, Molly. She'll have a play buddy. Molly is so friendly matter of fact as we were waiting for the Spectro Parade to start she made friends with the little boy sitting on the curb next to her. They both were upset when the parade was over and they had to say good-bye. Kids are great-the whole world should take a lesson from them!!!

DS is a little shy when it comes to girls unless they like to run. Last year we had a DIS meet at BCV before the member cruise. There was another little boy at the meet. He and DS had a blast running back and forth and falling down. Kids are great and so much fun to watch.

I wrote a few months back about one of my students that was killed in afgan. I found out Tuesday that another student of mine was killed in afgan. I would ask again that whether you support our political agenda or not you continue to thank and support the men and women that protect the rights that a lot of Americans take for granted.

I'm so sorry to hear that another former student of yours gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Just came back from DW with my DD & DGD. It was HOT !!! So hot we did half the parks and went back to the pool at BLT-I think everyone did. May 1-5 the parks were crowded. Saturday and Sunday we couldn't move through the Magic Kingdom. I thought I picked a good time to celebrate my DGD's third b'day-but the heat was the real bummer-I don't know how people do it in the summer.

I don't know how people do it in the summer either! I LOVE Summer, but OMG the humidity down in Florida....I can't stand being in the crowded parks when it's so hot and humid. Especially with my kids....it is just more miserable than fun.

Thank you. She is 14 today and is so excited because now she can get her learner's permit and can finally start to drive. :scared1: For me though! :lmao:

Permit at 14?! I think I had to wait till I was 16 to get my permit. And I wasn't ready to drive then! When I got my license (at 17), I didn't drive on highways for two years!!! lol

:flower3: Marsha so sorry I said your DD instead of DS-forgive me. I think they'll get along -last year at Disney my mom wanted to buy her a Minnie Mouse in a tutu-she insisted on a football! She only knows one speed "SUPER FAST"

Not a problem. I am sure they will get along. He can have a running buddy. Now, if only the GPs will let him have some time. Both DH's mother and my parents will be cruising with us. So, if you see a tug of war going on with a little boy in the middle, then you will know that is my family. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to Brooke and Becca!!!
Permit at 14!:scared1::scared1::scared1: Here in PA permit was and is currently 16 with a six month waiting period for your license!! They intend to shift it to 18 soon!!!

Marsha - glad to hear other grandparents think that they should have their grandchildren ALL to themselves ALL the time!! We laugh at my MIL and FIL who do not like to attend family functions with my fam because "they do not get enough one on one time with the girls":rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:!!!!! I say TAKE THEM and you can have all the one on one you want!!!!

My youngest is three also and can join in the 3 yr old acting like maniac games - she's faster than lightening and has no fear - is it the age - trying to remember if my older one was like that. I should also say mine has a temper - she is a red head (I have to use that rather than say she got it from me!!:rolleyes1)!!!

Ian - I think we will wait until you pirate nightpirate: and make you walk the plank:lmao:!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

terrie!!!!!!! I just got my summer edition on d23. Wow nice magazine!!!!. Have you read it yet. There is an article of the family history. I knew his father came from bluedale ontario now im going to have to drive there to see where that photo was taken. Bluedale is only 2 hours from my home. Not far from kitchener ont in the country. Im glad i joined d23 now im hoping to beable to get to an expo.

Ian - DH is most definately a Steelers and Penguins fan - he even supports the Pirates - even with their record!! He is a die hard sports fan and loves his black and gold. He was VERY traumatized by the hockey lose although I'm sure those in your neck of the woods were VERY happy!!

DH collects Pittsburgh sports memoribilla and also has a pretty large pennant collection - all teams and sports - he was lucky that it survived the fire - the clean up crews said they were saved because of their plastic sleeves which I put on them all and displayed them for him. He was so tickled when they were all OK!!

GREAT NEWS!!!! I called this afternoon to make our reservations for our 10th anniversary trip April 2011. I have to call tomorrow to add the last night on. We will be there from APril 16 - 24, 2011. The 24th is Easter Sunday but we will fly home that day - DD will try 7 the next day and we want some time to rest before returning to school/work. I am SOOOO excited to be planning another trip - although our 7 month mark hits Sept 16th the last day of the cruise and our transfer day to BLT!!!!

Ian, I am jealous because I have not received mine yet. The Expo tickets go on sale Aug. 19!

The girls say THANKS! for the birthday wishes everyone. They have had two great days.

Yes, here in Iowa the kids get permits, or learner's permits, at the age of 14. Then if they have passed driver's ed, they can get a school permit to drive to school and school functions at the age of 15. They don't get an actual driver's license until 16. Then it is a graduated license until 18.

dopeygirl76 and deernut-At least your team made the playoffs!! DH is an off ice official for the NHL stationed at MSG. Wait and see what you're going to get in your FE !!
