HMMMMMM TERRIE WHERE DID YOU GET THE NAME DISNEY:rotfl2: WISH I THOUGHT OF THAT. I CANT WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE ON SHIP. I WILL TALK YOUR MICKEY EARS OFF:rotfl2: SIERRA ALWAYS CANT WAIT UNTIL END OF APRIL WHEN COVER COMES OFF POOL. SHE GOES IN EVERYDAY.. SHE NEVER JUMPS IN , ALWAYS RUNS TO FAR END AND WALKS DOWN THE STAIRS. WE TRAINED HERE THAT WAY SO SHE WOULD GET OUT ON HER OWN IF SHE FELL IN. THE OTHER ANIMAL IN THE PHOTO IS OUR CAT TINK. GUESS WHERE WE GOT HER NAME:rotfl2: WE HAVE 3 CATS AND FEED AND HOUSE 2 STRAYS. ACTUALLY ALL OUR CATS HAVE BEEN STRAYS.

terrie have you ever seen that movie best of show. Its a comedy.

We just redid our whole house, gutted kitchen dinning room and livingroom, put in wood floors. The dog goes nuts on the wood. We have keep her nails cut, she skitters across floor. Its kind of funny, she remembers where she slipped and takes awhile before she walks near that spot. Even at 8 she still acts like a pup.

250 points!!!! :scared1: Holy Guacamole! That's :teacher: a whole lot of points and a whole lot of Disney Dollars  Boy, I thought I was doing good by mentioning "incentives and what not during crusies" and now DH is contemplating adding on during the crusie :woohoo: There is no way he will go for 250 :sad2: I showed him pics of the new ship the Dream and told him next year's DVC member crusie will be on the new ship. He actually said we should go  We figured we'd use all of the Disney Visa reward dollars we've accumulated to help pay for next year's cruise. I checked with member services and they said you can pay with the reward dollars! I thought, heck if we wind up adding on, maybe we can pre-book for next year. Ah well, I know 250 is out. Hey, Ian, when you meet Wally (my DH) please feel free to tell him how much you have been enjoying your added points, maybe the idea of doing 250 points will rub off on him :rotfl2:

Yes, that would be great to have another 250 points!
I'll have to make a "WILL WORK FOR POINTS" sign and stand outside on the weekends...

I have another tip to add about dining rotations and Palo:

If you have Animators Palate on your dining rotation twice, Do NOT...I repeat DO NOT miss your first night in Animators Palate!!! If you have made advanced dining reservations at Palo and it happens to be on your first night scheduled in Animators Palate, try to switch Palo OR try to get your dining rotation switched. You DO NOT want to miss the first night in Animators Palate because they do not do the cool show on your second night in Animators Palate.

For me, since my first time at Animator's Palate was Pirate Night we did not have the show. The next night at Animator's Palate we had the Animator's Palate show.

Hmmm, it just sort of came to me one day :rotfl: His registered name is Tyme T'Work D'Magic :thumbsup2 We also have a cat named Meeko (raccoon from Pocahontas). I am allergic to cats and can only tolerate a few breeds. Meeko is a Devon Rex. They have big pixie ears and their coat feels like crushed velvet. Here is a pic of Disney and Meeko taken about 10 years ago!

Yes, it was hilarious! I love that movie!!! The majority of it is ad libbed and they had to give the actors crash courses on dog show handling.

Oh, how I'd love to get wood floors. I am afraid of the maintenance on them though! We keep the show dog's nails very short so nails don't touch the floor. My two 10 year olds still act like pups too! They are such fun! We have white tile throughout the house. Some days I want to give in and pretend I have gold carpet so I can stop vacuuming dog hair off the tile all the time  I told DH that one day when I retire from showing dogs and our Goldens leave us for the Rainbow Bridge I plan to have a black Standard Poodle so I can enjoy having a retriever (Poodles were bred to retrieve) and NOT have to vacuum everyday :thumbsup2

Now there's a plan! Count me in!!!

Terrie :)

Thank you! He loved his party and having a bunch of dog show people he knows come over. Everyone brought him presents which I did not expect and it was so cute! He got so excited about opening up his presents and getting new toys!

Thank you! I no longer have the china hutch though. I decided to redecorate and sold everything we own on Craigslist :rotfl: Now the dining room and living room are decorated "safari" inspired by my love for AKV :yay: and I put an amoire in the dining room that got turned into a bar :rolleyes1 I'll share pics if anyone really wants to see

Terrie :)

:wave2: I want to see pictures!

:wave2: I want to see pictures!

Okie dokie! Here's what I came up with trying to do a safari theme in my living and dining room. Let me know what you think...I can take it :lmao: the armoire...ahem...bar still needs to be stained or painted...one of these days :rolleyes1

These two bottom pics are of the family room which is "Disney" inspired. Don't know if you can tell in the photos the pics above tv are Disney lithographs. There are some WDCC collectibles on the shelves and other Disney memorabilia. Artwork above Disney the dog is Wyland's Disney collaboration entitled Disney Diving Buddies. Welcome to my Home everybody!

TERRIE NICE HOME. LOOKS VERY OPEN CONCEPT CATHEDRAL CEILING. WHAT STYLE OF HOME DO YOU HAVE. I ASSUME NO BASEMENT? I WILL HAVE TO POST BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS OF OUR REFURB. TERRIE WOOD FLOORS ARE GREAT. WE USED TO HAVE WALL TO WALL CARPET. WITH 3 SHEDDING CATS, WHICH I HAVE SEVERE ALLERGIES TOO:confused3, AND 1 SHEDDING BLACK DOG WE WERE VACUUMING EVERYDAY. NOW WE JUST DO A WALK THRU WITH SPECIAL DRY MOP PICKS UP ALL THE HAIR.

Terrie - your house is beautiful! I love the Disney inspired decor!!!!! And I really love the cathedral ceilings!

Terrie, I like your house. The AKV inspired living room and dining room are very nice. Nice job.:thumbsup2

Thank you Marsha! :goodvibes

Thanks Ian! Yes, it is an open floor plan. In fact, if you look at the second picture, the wall partition above the pet gate to the right of the bamboo tree did not used to exist. I had a friend put up the dry wall so we could close it in a little more. If not I would have a a blue paint line next to the gold paint line between living and family room :rotfl: Not sure what style the house is called. I am not very savvy when it comes to architecture, or design for that matter :lmao: You should have seen the looks I got when I announced I was painting the house in 4 colors, gold, burgundy, blue and teal  I was told it would like like I was living in a crayola box :lmao: I was like, and your point is??? I can't wait to see you refurb pics! I know what you mean about the shedding. I should buy stock in Swiffer :thumbsup2

Terrie - your house is beautiful! I love the Disney inspired decor!!!!! And I really love the cathedral ceilings!

Thanks Debbie! :goodvibes

Terrie :)

I am having so much fun catching up!!! You guys have been busy since I was on last!!!

Debbie - I was cracking up reading your posts - I was having flashbacks of Terrie and now I'm stealing your idea!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We have decided to wait on Palo because it is our first cruise - hopefully of many - and we want to experience the usual stuff before we add in the extra!!! Something to look forward to I guess!!!

Terrie - your house is beautiful!!! Your crayon box had me :lmao:!!!
When we rebuilt after the fire I wanted color - when we moved into our house in 2002 is had just been freshly carpeted - beige and painted - white!! so we really didn't change too much. Over the years we painted our bedroom red - sort of the color you have - and the bathroom in blue - well after the fire I decided it was time for color EVERYWHERE - the painters almost fainted when I gave them the colors - yellow, blue (2 different shades), red, terra cotta, pink (DD6 room!), teal (winnie the pooh blue - DD3 room!), lavender, dark brown, sandy brown oh and black and gold for DHs pittsburgh room!!! They laughed everyday as the painting continued and you know what - I didn't care and I think it turned out great!! (I may be slightly biased!!) Although our families also laugh at our choice of decor - I have the Thomas Kinkade of Cinderella's Castle over my sofa and one of the castle by Larry Dotson - that we purchased at EPCOT a couple of years back - not to mentioned the lithos that I have framed - the ones you get free with a pre-purchase of a DVD from the Disney Store - we are a Disney family - others don't get it!!!

In addition to sharing my love of all things Disney here - I am glad other understand our love for our oldest child - he is a corgi/jack russell mix who turned 9 April 4 while he is not registered his formal name is Chewbacca Jones with our last name - Obvious references to the favs of DH!!! We call him Chewy or Buddy and he is the king of this castle!!! I used to have cats but DH is deathly allergic to cats - he is to dogs as well but not nearly as severe - so no kitties for us!!! Although the girls REALLY want one!!!

Adding on - well Terrie - I have DH convinced as well that adding on will be a good thing - but unless Ian is VERY persuasive - 250 points would NOT be an option - I had him convinced of maybe 75 - enough with banking and borrowing to stay in a 1 BDR for a week - BLT??? Now if they start to sell Hawaii on the cruise ......he is REALLY excited for Hawaii:yay::yay::yay:!!!!! Who knows what could happen!!

OK - LONG weekend ahead - DD6 has her end of the year show Fri and Sat - they are doing Fiddler on the Roof Jr - we have had rehersal every night this week - and let me tell you - I'm tired - I know she has to be!!!;)

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Thanks Nikki and welcome back! I loved your TR and the pic of Mickey with the girls as they are walking away was precious! How awesome to get a private tour by Mickey :goodvibes You are brave taking on a group of 14 :scared1:

When the house was built it never dawned on me to choos colors other than white for the walls. So once I got tired of it I decided I liked the crayola idea  Your house had caught on fire  YIKES!!!!

That's one of the things I love about the DIS. No one things I am crazy for doing decorating inspired by Disney. :grouphug: The puppy room is decorated in Classic Pooh. The sewing/crafting/scrapbooking/I don't know where else to put this room is decorated in Disney Fairies.

Oh I'd love a Thomas Kinkade! The Cinderella Castle one is beautiful! I am hoping to get the Snow White one some day.

I am hoping if we do add on during the cruise it will be more AKV points. I would love to take the extended family for an AKV CL vacation. Hawaaii does sound exciting though!

Terrie :)

We added on at AKV on last year's members cruise. I was nnot even planning on adding on but DH caught addonitis. I was shocked!

The Snow White Thomas Kincade was my first choice - but being out of print we have yet to find it for a reasonable price. We bought Cinderella's castle at the art gallery at DHS April 09 - we had just moved back into the house and it was a splurge that DH - who usually researches everything to DEATH - was eager to get as well. So without even thinking we bought it and had it shipped home!! It brings a smile to my face everyday!!!

Yes fire - total loss of everything in the house and the house. The girls, Chewy and I got out safely and we couldn't ask for more than that::yes::!

I did it - frying chicken wings on the cooktop - no wings in just heating the oil and it ignited - and I do cook - everyday and had fried things before:rotfl:!! It took us a year to rebuild - we moved back in with things still undone and actually it was a year ago April 1 that they were done but now there are some touch ups the company who rebuilt will come and do. What a LONG process!!!

AKV is one we have not stayed at yet - would not mind owning there either - so I guess we will take what we can get - as long as DH is willing to add on - I'm not arguing about where:rotfl: I would stay in a box if I could stay at WDW!!!!!

I know this is a DVC sin - but I even thought about doing the free dining and paying cash - just because I keep borrowing and there are no points left and I HAVE TO GO TO WDW!!!!!

Ok my head is spinning from trying to catch up with all the posts. I will re-read again this weekend to get all the dinner lineups.

I wrote a few months back about one of my students that was killed in afgan. I found out Tuesday that another student of mine was killed in afgan. Monday. I did not recognize his name initially and his picture in the paper was of a stong handsome Marine that I did not recognize. I went to the yearbook of his senior year 07 and when I put his face from HS with his name I felt like someone hit me in the face with a brick. This young man made a huge change from a tall chubby kid to a proud Marine. I would ask again that whether you support our political agenda or not you continue to thank and support the men and women that protect the rights that a lot of Americans take for granted.
