Ok my head is spinning from trying to catch up with all the posts. I will re-read again this weekend to get all the dinner lineups.

I wrote a few months back about one of my students that was killed in afgan. I found out Tuesday that another student of mine was killed in afgan. Monday. I did not recognize his name initially and his picture in the paper was of a stong handsome Marine that I did not recognize. I went to the yearbook of his senior year 07 and when I put his face from HS with his name I felt like someone hit me in the face with a brick. This young man made a huge change from a tall chubby kid to a proud Marine. I would ask again that whether you support our political agenda or not you continue to thank and support the men and women that protect the rights that a lot of Americans take for granted.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR STUDENT, BEING CANADIAN I HAVE FRIENDS WHO HAVE KIDS STATIONED OVER THERE. WHEN ONE IS KILLED, THEY ARE USUALLY FLOWN TO TRENTON ONTARIO AND ESCORTED DOWN THE HIGHWAY OF HEROS, THATS THE 401 THAT RUNS FROM QUEBEC BORDER THRU TORONTO. ITS AMAZING ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LINE THE HIGHWAY AND OVERPASSES AND ALL THE CANADIAN FLAGS PRESENT AS THE MOTORCADE OF THE FALLEN SOLDIER GOES BY. WE HAVE LOST A FEW HERE IN THE NIAGARA REGION. MY FRIEnDS SON JUST WENT BACK FOR ANOTHER TOUR. ITS VERY STRESSFUL.

From the legends cruise, the girl in the middle was from Annie, the girl on the right was the lead in Wicked- Idina Mendez and also Beauty and the Beast and the movie- Enchanted, the girl on the right was Belle from Beauty and the Beast.-Amazing singing!

The Snow White Thomas Kincade was my first choice - but being out of print we have yet to find it for a reasonable price. We bought Cinderella's castle at the art gallery at DHS April 09 - we had just moved back into the house and it was a splurge that DH - who usually researches everything to DEATH - was eager to get as well. So without even thinking we bought it and had it shipped home!! It brings a smile to my face everyday!!!

Yes fire - total loss of everything in the house and the house. The girls, Chewy and I got out safely and we couldn't ask for more than that::yes::!

I did it - frying chicken wings on the cooktop - no wings in just heating the oil and it ignited - and I do cook - everyday and had fried things before:rotfl:!! It took us a year to rebuild - we moved back in with things still undone and actually it was a year ago April 1 that they were done but now there are some touch ups the company who rebuilt will come and do. What a LONG process!!!

AKV is one we have not stayed at yet - would not mind owning there either - so I guess we will take what we can get - as long as DH is willing to add on - I'm not arguing about where:rotfl: I would stay in a box if I could stay at WDW!!!!!

I know this is a DVC sin - but I even thought about doing the free dining and paying cash - just because I keep borrowing and there are no points left and I HAVE TO GO TO WDW!!!!!

Glad to hear no one was hurt! Wow, how scary for your family! Yes, we'd stay in a box too as long as it's on property! Well, I have a different theory about paying cash when you run out of points. I think most DVC owners are probably Disneyphiles to say the least. I would think that most Disneyphiles would want to experience each and every resort Disney has to offer. Therefore, paying cash to experience all resorts is a given :rotfl: Each year we try to do one new (to us) resort. What we do is stay cash for Fri/Sat at a resort then move into the DVC unit on Sunday. So we try to conserve points and stay at new places  After staying so many years at values (pre DVC) we have now made our way through AKL, GF, Poly, CR, WL and this year we are trying out FW cabins :cool1:.

Oh my goodness, how terrible. I am so sorry. I will never understand why the people of our world can't just live in peace and harmony. That said, I am ever so grateful to the courageous men and women who protect us and everything we hold so dear. God Bless our troops.

I thought about you when I saw him on the news the other day and heard where he was from. My heart and prayers go out to his family and community.

So sorry to hear of another of your students to be lost in Afghanistan. That is a terrible thing to have happen. But I support each and every one of them over there and am thankful to them for their service to our country. Without those brave individuals where would we be. My DH served for 26 years before retiring from the service. He was never called to go over seas and has a hard time with that. He wanted to go because that was what he was trained to do. But with the type of position he had before his retirement he was just never called. Again, Scott, I am sorry to hear of the loss of another soldier. :sad1:

Just came back from DW with my DD & DGD. It was HOT !!! So hot we did half the parks and went back to the pool at BLT-I think everyone did. May 1-5 the parks were crowded. Saturday and Sunday we couldn't move through the Magic Kingdom. I thought I picked a good time to celebrate my DGD's third b'day-but the heat was the real bummer-I don't know how people do it in the summer. I have a request---if anyone is going to the Flower & Garden show could you buy a pin for me-we can't find the one we bought and my DD is keeping a pin book for my DGD. I will meet you on the ship and pay you for it. Thanks so much. Vicki

Welcome back! Too bad about how hot it was. How did you like BLT?

Has anyone who is Platinum CC seen anything for online Cabana reservations?

Good question. I don't know the answer. Of course, I am not a Platinum CC member. Maybe Ian will be able to tell us approximately 16 days from now if you don't find out the answer. If you find out, let us know. I know on last year's cruise, people were able to reserve cabana massages online so maybe you can reserve a cabana.

Redeemed & Loved thank you so much. Any pin from the Flower and Garden Show that says 2010 will do. You can only get these at Epcot. That's so nice of you to offer.

Marsha it was 91-95 degrees and humid. We had a great room at BLT, on the 14th floor overlooking Bay Lake and the pool. We felt like we were on a tropical island overlooking the water. I did express check in and that worked out just fine-everything was ready for us. We were able to walk to the MK from BLT,but because of the heat we took the monorail a couple of days and walked back. My DGD-age 3-enjoyed the Community Center where she colored, played on the computers and fooze ball. She enjoyed the pool which had a mini slide and a children's water play area. We had a 1 bedroom-the couch & chairs were not very comfortable but the king size bed was! It also had 2 bathrooms. As we were leaving our housekeeper told us that a VIP was getting the room after us. Boy did we feel special. We've stayed in all WDW vacation locations and I really believe each one is different and has something special to offer.

Scott - my sympathies on the loss of another student. I support our troops 100% - whether I agree with the reasons they are there is not an issue - they choose to put their lives on the line for their country and for that they deserve our support.

I can't wait to try BLT. I am glad your DGD had a good time. We are staying at Kidani Village after the cruise. I hope there will be some activities for DS, age 3, at the community hall in Kidani.

Thank you. She is 14 today and is so excited because now she can get her learner's permit and can finally start to drive. :scared1: For me though! :lmao:
OMG! She is able to get her learner's permit. Wow! I could not get mine permit until I was 16 but that is because in NJ you couldn't get your license until (and maybe still is) 17.
