Good Morning all!!!

Diz4 WELCOME!!!

We have had a boost in our chatters - how exciting!!

For my Mother's Day I will be having a picnic for part of the family - my fam of 4, DSis(32) and her fam of 3 along with her DMIL & DBIL, my DMom, my DMIL, DFIL and DSIL. In the moring the girls and I will go to church - DH has to work:sad1:.

I already got my present - I got a new patio set for the back porch!! And DD6 brought her gift home from school yesterday - she couldn't wait:cloud9:!! The made a Silk Screen picture and card!!

Good Friday Morning!!!!!!

Today is the day that we are heading down to Florida! We don't leave until late in the day and will be arriving around 10:00 tonight. But that is ok. We will be in Florida!:banana:

I believe Scott said he wants to be a boat driver down at Disney when he retires and that is exactly what my DH says. Sounds like Disney has lots of wannabe workers down there in the future from all of us here on the Dis! :lmao: DH says he is going to retire in about 5 more years. We'll see about that. :rolleyes1

This will be our 3rd Members Cruise, and lucky for us, we have always been able to get the room that we have asked for. :wizard: to those who are on the wait list. Hope it comes through for you.

Hope all you Mom's out there have a Happy Mother's Day on Sunday. I will be missing my girls since they are not going on the trip with us but they will be with me in spirit as I roam around EPCOT!

Have a great day! :flower3:

We have gone several times around the christmas holiday. Couple times before and couple after. The first time we went I walked into MK and said oh we made a big mistake. We had a group of 11 and I was concerned about the complaining. It was a rough day. As we watched the fireworks I told myself never again. Then it started to snow on Main Street USA and don't tell anyone but tears came to my eyes and I told every one this is why we love Disney so much. Florida 80 degrees and snowing. Then we went to see Osbourn lights and took pictures in front of every park tree and went to the different resorts and took pictures in front of the trees. Pictures with santa's from all the different countries. My family now understands the MAGIC of WDW. I did find that when there over big holidays, christmas, spring break, new years, 4th of july that it is best to go to the other parks. MK is where a lot of the locals come during those days to enjoy the fireworks and special shows. We were told that they book a room the night before whatever event they want to attend so they can get in the park early that day.

Have a great weekend.

To all the mothers out there have a wonderful mothers day!!!

Scott

MNSSHP - stands for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

This post is from Ian about MNSSHP.

MNSSHP STANDS FOR MICKEYS NOT SO SCARRY HALLOWEEN PARTY, IF YOU HAVENT DONE IT ITS GREAT. YOU PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO TO MK WHEN PARTY STARTS AT 7pm BUT YOU CAN GO EARLIER. JUST LIKE THE CHRISTMAS PARTY. THEY HAVE SPECIAL HALLOWEEN PARADE TWICE AND IN BETWEEN THEY HAVE HALLOWEEN FIREWORKS USUALLY BY THE TIME THE SECOND PARADE COMES HARDLY ANYONE IS THERE. MANY KIDS ARE DRESSED UP AND SOME ADULTS. LAURA DW AND I CAME OUT OF THERE WITH 2 BIG BAGS OF CANDY AND A TALKING TOOTHBRUSH:rotfl2: YOU GO AROUND THE PARK AND LOOK FOR THE SPECIAL GOOFY CANDY LITE SIGNS AND GET YOUR CANDY. THEY HAVE SPECIAL HALLOWEEN ENTERTAINMENT. HAUNTED MANSION HAS SPECIAL FOG ROLLING DOWN THE HILL WITH A LIVE ACTRESS OUT FRONT AS MADAM LEOTA.

Plus, there are a whole lot of characters that usually do not appear together. Last year the 7 dwarfs were all out pocing for pictures with everyone. The crowds are less because it is a special ticketed event. Rides at MK are pretty much walk on. The fireworks are spectacular.

TIP: Some say do not order tickets until you know what the weather will be like. Of course, DVC usually offers members discounted tickets that you have to purchase in advance.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is held on select nights throughout September and October. The party is held at Magic Kingdom and requires the purchse of a special ticket. Regular park admission on a MNSSHP day will get you into the park but at 7pm the park is closed to non party ticket holders. They will identify non party tix holder by lack of a special wrist band. Party ticket holders can come in as early as 4pm with their ticket even though the party starts at 7 and goes on until midnight. When you enter with your party ticket you are given a special wrist band to wear and a bag for your candy as you go trick or treating throughout Magic Kingdom. They only sell a limited number of party tix so Marsha is correct and most rides are walk on. There are two "Boo To You" parades led by the Headless Horseman and the Hallowishes fireworks are awesome! People dress up even adults with no kids and have a blast! My DH and I go every year but we go on Halloween night itself. If you are able to do it, I think it is well worth the experience!

Terrie :)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, GODMOTHERS, AUNTIES, & THOSE WHO ARE A LIKE A MOTHER!

HAVE A WONDERFUL & BLESSED DAY.

Good morning everyone! Just went and looked at the website for our cruise, very nice!!! I will try and get our info in for the FE's and the gallery in the next couple of days.

After all of everyones hard work and patience to get on this cruise Saturday, it will be sooo nice to finally be on it. I have 304 days to make magnets, FE gifts and a sail away t-shirt. Do we have a DISigner on board?

Did we ever think on the Secret Mickey thing some more? Or do you think that the FE's will be enough to handle?

I have read about the buttons on the other threads, who have people used to have them made? What about the DISgreen bracelets?

Everyone have a beautiful day!

What are the buttons? Are they buttons that you make for celebrations?

I hope everyone has had a wonderful mother's day. I know I'm wishing I was spending the day in WDW. But any family time is magical.

Thanks to everyone for explaining about Mickey's not so scary halloween. We'll try to get to that if we can work it out! This thread is awesome! I'm learning so much. I'm spending a LOT of time just reading and reading! I can't wait to meet some of the people behind the words!

On last year's member cruise, one of our fellow cruisers made individualized buttons for those who were regular posters on our cruise meet thread. They were a way to identify our fellow DISers from our cruise meet thread. Here are a couple of pictures.

I wore mine on the "lanyard" DVC gave out.

First, I hope all the mothers had a Happy Mother's Day.

 Only 126 days until we cruise!

Do you know what that means? The advance booking for onboard amenities and shore excursions will begin in less than a week. For those who are platinum castaway club members (those who have sailed 10 or more times on DCL) can begin booking 120 days prior to sailing.

I, unfortunately, am not able to do advance booking. :sad2: But, that is okay. I am staying optimistic. I really want to do Palo brunch again. Is there anyone out there who is able to book at 120 days?

Hi Marsha first I want to thank you for the weekly updates on the cruise. It's so nice to get email and see that. How exciting, we can't wait.

You mentioned you had brunch at Palo that is something we might like to try. My dh is very picky so we tend to stick to safe meals. Do they have the usual bacon and eggs? It seemed like the brunch was the safest bet for us food wise.
