THANKS TERRIE I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO CHECK D23 SITE MORE OFTEN. THAT INFORMATION YOU GAVE THAT WAS 195 DOLLARS FOR THE WHOLE THING , THAT INCLUDED ALL THE MEALS AND IS THAT THE SAME PRICE IF I BOUGHT A TICKET FOR MYSELF AND FOR SOMEONE WHO ISNT A D23 MEMBER AS LONG AS I PURCHASE THE TICKET?
WHEN YOU ORDER TICKETS CAN YOU DO IT BY PHONE? AND ONCE YOU PURCHASE TICKETS BECAUSE IM NEW TO THIS (not a D23 vet. like yourself:rotfl2:)DO THEY INFORM YOU OF ALL THE TIMES AND THE WHERES? WHEN YOU DO GET A TICKET TO EVENT THERE IS ALWAYS A PLACE TO SIT FOR DINNING ETC, OR DO YOU HAVE TO PANIC AND GET THERE EARLY? DO I JUST SHOW TICKETS AND PRESENT MEMBER CARD AT THE MAIN GATES IF ANY OF THE EVENTS ARE IN A PARK? I FORGET DO YOU NEED A PARK PASS?
THERES A HANDFULL OF QUESTIONS:rotfl2: IM GOING TO HAVE TO TALK TO THE 2 OF YOU IN PERSON ON THE SHIP ABOUT d23:rotfl2:

Yes, that would include all meals and each ticket for the event would be $195. The last event I went to we were allowed to purchase a ticket for each D23 member and purchase tickets for up to three guests. I don't know if that is true for this event. So far purchasing tickets for events have been done on line. Once purchased, you will get an e-mail confirmation telling you where you need to check in and at what time(s) check in will be. Once you check in you are given an itinerary. You will not be left without a seat for dining as they know exactly how many to seat for. However, if there are presentations, arriving early means better seating. The last event included park passes, this one does not. So, some do and some don't. DH and I are passholders so it makes no difference to us. Gave our last park passes that were included with an event to my parents. I look forward to meeting you and chit chatting!

Terrie :)

HAPPY EASTER everyone!!!

It has been a crazy weekend. We had the girls bday party yesterday with 20 kids bowling and about 30 adults!!! The kids had a blast and my girls were as happy is can be - which of course is all that matters!!!

The bunny visited us last night and after some candy we went to mass at 10:30am and then I had brunch for everyone here. When everyone left i fell asleep on the couch!! I just got done packing our box to ship to OKW - only 6 days to go!:yay::banana::yay:

Wow! What a whirlwind of a weekend! Sounds like it was fun though. Yay six more sleeps for you :yay:

Terrie :)

Well, since it looks like I'm the only adult here that receives an Easter basket :rolleyes1 I thought I'd share the one DH gave me today. It was hiding in my computer armoire. Yes, he hides my basket every year :cutie: This is the first year I did not get a bunny though, I got a very cute monkey that I now  The bottom of my basket is layered in new rolled up socks. Oh BTW, I am completely obsessed with socks and have several drawers full  The book is a new James Patterson novel. I am constantly reading and usually have three books going at once. Right now it's Lord of the Rings, Eclipse (from the Twilight series, again) and just finished Duma Key by Stephen King so I will replace with this new book. Got a box of Cadbury chocolate eggs and a gift card to Bahama Breeze which is the restaurant my BFF and I usually like to go to when we hang out.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. And I'm glad to hear your girls had such a grand time. And yes, sometimes them being happy is all that matters! Sounds like it will be a birthday that will be remembered forever! :goodvibes

For the six days to go, I hope it goes fast for you! Just think were you will be next week at this time. WDW!!!!!

Thanks for sharing your Easter Basket with us Terrie! I think it is cool that your DH does that for you. As my girls get older, Easter is not as fun as it used to be. I had to wake them up at 8:30 to get them moving. But teenagers only want to sleep.

Good Morning everyone! I hope you all had a nice Easter. We had a nice one.

Terrie, what a cute Easter basket. Did you give your DH one?

Nikki, sounds like you had a busy but fun weekend. Glad that you DDs enjoyed themselves.

Oh forgot about the Easter baskets - I make one for DH and since he is clueless ;) I make it for both of us because my oldest got upset the first time she realized I didn't get anything:lovestruc!!! We do candy only - as if that's a bad thing - I am addicted to chocolate!!

Oh and my camera decided to malfunction at the girls party - luckily MIL had hers but I was so distressed about it for our trip I went to get a new one Sunday night!! :lmao: I am so crazy!! I did our online check in today and DH just took the box of food to be shipped - he says its 50lbs - I think he's nuts!!:rotfl: I'll let you know!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning everyone!

Thank you. Not this year. DH didn't want me to spend any money on him since I am trying to save for something else so he asked me not to. Normally I do though. Next year I guess.

Terrie :)

Ah, yes the all important sleep of a teen. I remember those years! Thanks, I think it is cool too. Every few years we both will color Easter eggs too and then eat lots of egg salad sandwiches :lmao:

And deviled eggs, and potato salad too! :rotfl2:

Good Tuesday Morning!

Strong thunderstorms rolled through here overnight. And I was sleeping good until our dang weather radio went off at 1:30 am. :scared1: That is exactly what it did to me! :lmao: And it is supposed to be stormy all day. We could use the rain though to wash away all the winter dirt that is laying around. Just hope no bad weather happens. I hate tornadoes.

Hope the weather is good for everyone else today.

Have a good one! :flower3:

Good Afternoon Everyone! Hope you are having a good day. Rain showers in this morning but now it is beautiful outside.

:sad2:

I found us on page two again!

It's Wednesday!!!! Ok, that doesn't really mean anything to me except that it is the middle of the work week!

I am taking a photography class and last night I learned some tricks in Photoshop, :yay: so I'm going to play with some of my previous DCL pictures and I'll post them on here, but it might not be until the weekend.

How's everyone's week going?

:goodvibes Good Morning!

Things are going pretty well here in my neck of the woods. It has been rainy, stormy and now it has turned cool here so far for the week. Things should turn around by the weekend.

Well, we have been making plans for Food & Wine Fest at EPCOT this year. We just love to go to that. Right now we are planning on going the first weekend in November. And we are so super excited about getting a room at the Boardwalk for the weekend that we just can't believe it. How great will it be to just be able to walk back and forth. No waiting for busses. :woohoo: Plus, we really enjoy going to Jelly Rolls, and now we can go and have a good time and not worry about trying to get back to our resort. We can just walk!:yay:

We are not as chatty this week. But, we still have time. My week is going well since I am on vacation relaxing and enjoying the sun. We had showers this morning but the sun is shining now. How is your week going?

Can't wait to see the pictures. I have thought about taking a photography class especially since I got a new camera for Christmas. How do you like the class?

I want to attend the F&W Festival one day. What is it like? Do the vendors give out samples? Are there special programs?

GOOD AFTERNOON:cool1: WE ARE GETTING THUNDERBOOMERS, I LIKE THUNDERSTORMS, IM FASCINATED WITH LIGHTENING. LIVING IN THE COUNTRY WE CAN SEE THE LIGHTENING MORE.

CHRIS YOU DIDNT MENTION YOU ALSO LIKE BOARDWALK FOR FOOD AND WINE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE FOR THE 2 OF YOU TO STAGGER BACK AFTER SAMPLING ALL THE WINES AROUND THE SHOW CASE:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

WE HAVE DONE FOOD AND WINE TWICE, WE ENJOYED IT. WE STARTED NEAR CANADA AND CIRCLED AROUND, THEY HAVE SO MANY OTHER COUNTRIES THERE. WE USED TO BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CANADIAN CHOICES FOR WINES. THEY USED TO OFFER ONLY BC WINES. NOW I THINK THEY ALSO SELL INNISkILLIN WHICH IS ONLY ABOUT 3 MILES FROM OUR HOUSE. WE LIVE RIGHT IN NIAGARA WINE COUNTRY. I LIKE FLOATING IN OUR POOL WITH MY GLASS OF WINE. YEARS AGO WE USED TO HAVE ONLY CONCORD AND NIAGARA GRAPES, THEY WERE USED PRIMARILY FOR GRAPE JELLY AND GRAPE JUICE AND LOW GRADE WINES. NOW ALL THOSE VINES ARE GONE AND REPLACED WITH HIGHER QUALITY GRAPES. WE HAVE GOOD WINE TOURS HERE. WE HAVE ICE WINE WHICH IS VERY POPULAR IN JAPAN. THERE ARE ONLY A FEW COLD NIGHTS IN JAN YOU CAN CUT THE FROZEN GRAPES FOR ICE WINE. THERE ARENT MANY BOTTLES MADE THATS WHY ITS EXPENSIVE.

GETTING BACK TO THE QUESTION I THINK MARSHA ASKED ABOUT GIVING FREE SAMPLES AT FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL. I JUST REMEMBER PAYING A COUPLE DOLLARS AT EACH BOOTH TO TRY A SAMPLE OF THEIR WINE AND FOOD. IT CAN BE EXPENSIVE BY THE TIME YOU GET AROUND. THERE ARE PROGRAMS YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR. MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR WAS A GUEST CHEF ONE YEAR. WE ENJOY IT.

Kewl! I can't wait to see pics. The week is going by slow and the individual days even slower. I could swear that it was 2:46 for about three hours today :sad2:

How fun! We haven't stayed at BWV yet. One day. We will be there the week before you arrive for MNSSHP and F&W. We are staying at the cabins in Ft. Wilderness from Oct. 29-31 then on the 31st we check into THV until the 5th of November!

Enjoy your vacation time! :beach: I LOVE F&W!!!!!!! :dance3: The samplings are for a nominal price, a few dollars here and there. However, once you make your way eating and drinking around the world those few bucks here and there really add up :scared1: Yes, there are many special programs and they fit every budget :woohoo: There are wine semianrs and food seminars for as little as $5 and seminars and presentations that go into the over $100 range.

GOOD AFTERNOON:cool1: WE ARE GETTING THUNDERBOOMERS, I LIKE THUNDERSTORMS, IM FASCINATED WITH LIGHTENING. LIVING IN THE COUNTRY WE CAN SEE THE LIGHTENING MORE.

OK, now I'm writing in Caps. LIGHTNING??? YOU LIKE LIGHTNING???? Bless you for your bravery :worship: Lightning is one of my two greatest fears in life :scared1:  :scared1: The other is Palmetto bugs. Ironic that I live in Florida...home of the lightning capitol of the world and palmetto bug capitol of the Unites States :rolleyes1 Seriously though, I am terrified of both! Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger all coming after me with an ax will not strike the amount of fear and terror that lightning and palmetto bugs can.

How long does the F & W festival last?
It varies from year to year. This year it is from October 1st to November 14th.

Terrie :)

WHAT ARE PALMETTO BUGS? My neighbours across the street their house was hit by lightening 2 years ago. While everyone was sleeping. It ran down the chiminey blew it off the house and exploded the TV. All the mechanical toys in the 2 sons rooms started to run. Ive driven home from the FALLS in a thunderstorm. The lightening was close enough to make my hair on my arms stand up. It was a pinkish color. I may enjoy lightening but i would prefer a nice sunny day:rotfl2: My fear is heights. I do the tallest and fastest roller coasters and i love Para sailing but i wont stand on the roof of my house. Ive taken my son up the CN tower in Toronto up to the space pod. My legs felt like lead:rotfl2:WELL I must go out and do more yard work before dark, its almost middle of April everything is starting to grow.

Palmetto bugs are like Cockroaches on steroids :scared1: not only are they HUGE but they also FLY  I was about to post a picture of one from Google Images and found that I am incapable of looking at a picture of one for the length of time it would take to copy it :sad2: heart began racing, hands shaking and could feel the nausea coming on...from a picture...how wierd is that

Ok, I am now grateful for the fact that I DON'T have a chimney! DH is not a fan of heights either. I think I might get him to go parasailing though. Ah, which reminds me I actually have three great fears in life...sharks are number 3! I'd love to try parasailing but it's the whole...there's an ocean right beneath me and things in there with teeth, like sharks, that keep me from trying it.

Terrie :)

Terrie, thanks for the info on the F&W. You are too funny. I have seen some big bugs when I visited FL but never heard of palmetto bugs. I looked up a picture of one and would have posted it but I did not want you to run from the boards :scared1:. My fear is heights. I will not even try parasailing because of that and because I fear I may crash.
