Terrie, thanks for the info on the F&W. You are too funny. I have seen some big bugs when I visited FL but never heard of palmetto bugs. I looked up a picture of one and would have posted it but I did not want you to run from the boards :scared1:. My fear is heights. I will not even try parasailing because of that and because I fear I may crash.

I understand your fear, DH is afraid of heights. Thank you for not posting a picture of one  that was very thoughtful. On a lark I decided to see what would happen if I looked at pictures of lightning and sharks on google images. No reaction :woohoo: I must admit, lightning is quite pretty...uhm, while it is in a 2 dimensional picture on my computer and no where near me :lmao: sharks... yeah, not so much  but at least I can look at them. Maybe I'll try watching shark week this year :rotfl:

Terrie :)

I know we haven't all been very chatty lately and since we are on the subject of fear...what is everyone's scariest movie moment???

DH says his is basically any scary moment during The Exorcist. Poor guy, he watched it as a young child (5 or 6 maybe) shortly after arriving to this country on tv (he is from Vietnam) not speaking a word of English yet and no exposure to scary movies. Scarred him for life and I can't get him to watch scary movies with me :confused3 My scariest movie moment is Indiana Jones' Temple of Doom the scene with all the bugs in the room, wall to wall bugs crawling everywhere :scared1:  That scene scared the heebee jeebees out of me!!! Now I'm a girl that will happily enjoy movies like Exorcist (inclduing the sequels), Texas Chainsaw Masacre, you name it. The bug scene in Temple of Doom...nope, no way, not havin' it, can't do it

Terrie :)

Hi all!! I got in from my conference in time to see my girls before bed - we played a rousing game of Mario Party on the Wii and now I"m catching up to see what I missed!!

FEARS?!?!? Well since none of my patients will see this - I am a clinical social worker and deal with phobias and panic daily - I will admit I have not been able to oversome all of my fears: heights and spiders!!! I am getting better with heights. Oh and I should add SCARY movies!!:lmao: I am a chicken!!! I am not afraid of things that could be real but am terrified of the oddly scary things...Freddy, Jason....stay away from me!!:scared1::scared1:

Scariest movie moment- Arachnophobia - in the barn when all the spiders are crawling....yes Terrie NOW I have that sick feeling!!

Four more sleeps to WDW!!!:cloud9:

Evening everyone. Just got home from bowling and thought I would say hi.

Ian - thanks for answering Marsha's questions about F&W. We have been there for the past five years and just love it. Yes, it does get costly but we always share the food we eat with each other and sometimes the wine. And, well, I didn't want to sound like a lush by being able to stagger back to the Boardwalk after an afternoon/evening of F&W and all the libations there are to be had. :lmao: But, yeah, that is another reason we are happy to be at the Boardwalk that weekend :lmao:

I don't like scary movies at all. No slasher movies for me. There was one movie that I remember a scene from that freaked me out, and I can't remember the name, but I think it was on TV and it had a scary clown and the clown was down in the gutters. I hate walking by a gutter now because I can see that clown face. Scarrrrrryyyyyyyyy!

But I am mostly afraid of snakes. Can't stand them. In fact I won't even go out in my yard any more because of them. And I live in the country. Go figure.

I can't stand scary movies. When I was younger Thriller, the Michael Jackson video, scared me. I cannot even pick a particular scene from a movie since I watch most scary movies with my hands over my eyes. I have never seen the Exorcist.

The movie on tv was i think the STEPHEN KING MOVIE CALLED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DW Hates snakes cant even watch them on tv. In Feb we were on a 11 day southern caribbean cruise. One of the islands we stopped at was DOMINICA. A very small poor island. We signed up for the gondola ride above the jungle . You ride thru the tops of the rainforest. Well once we were on the gondola and moving the guide started to tell us that usually you will see the islands Boa consrictors hanging from some of the branches. LAURA hAD THIS LOOK OF TERROR!!!!!! They can grow up to 12 feet long. Halfway there is a walking part of the tour thru the rainforest over this 300 foot high swing rope bridge. So both Laura and I had to face our fears. Except she didnt get to see any snakes, but i had to feel the slight swing of the bridge and look way down at river below. When i get a chance i will post a couple photos. It was well worth the trip and the glass of rum at the end was good also:rotfl2:
Getting back to movies I saw the EXORSIST when it first came out at the theatre back in the early 70s. There were a lot of freaked out people in the audience.

Oh Wii is so much fun. I am hoping DH will get us Dance and Scene it for Wii. Spiders are creepy and I don't particularly like them. Yeah, that scene was pretty bad too! YAY four more sleeps for you!

Ian is correct that was It based on the novel by Stephen King. While the movie didn't really scare me all that much (I like scary movies) the book had left me terrified!!! Snakes, I am ok with if I can identify the species. I can remember being in 2nd grade and a boy came up behind me with a snake trying to scare me, but I had misunderstood his intentions, instead of screaming, I broke into a big smile and said thank you (thinking he wanted to share the pretty snake with me) and reached out to hold the snake :rotfl2:! You should ahve seen the look on his face! After that I would go into the alleys with the boys in class and catch snakes :lmao:

Oh I loved Thriller!!! Back in the day it was my favorite video on Mtv!

Terrie :)

Hello Everyone!

Chris, I meant to ask how was bowling? Did you get a good score? I have not been bowling in such a long time.

Ian, can't wait to see the pics from the trip. I do not think I will ever walk on a swing bridge.

Terrie, Thriller is one of my favorite videos now. MJ was so creative.

Nikki, you will soon be in WDW. Have a great vacation! Give us a report when you come back.

Debbie, did you make your Easter wreath? If so, I want to see a pic of it.

Monika & Michael, how is the grandbaby? Saw the pictures on FB. She is a cutie. Are you already planning her first trip to WDW and on DCL?

Hi Marsha-I don't know if you got the e-mail that my DH [Chuck], DD [Kerri], DSL [Jason], DGD [Molly] we all will be staying at OKW after the cruise. Kerri, Molly and I are going to WDW 5/1-5/8 we will be staying at BLT. Girl's only vacation!!! Molly got her first haircut at the Main Street barbershop last December-we are planning for another one this trip. She loved the pixie dust. She will be 3 so everything is soooo magical.
Thanks

Hi Marsha! Sadly, I never did put the Easter wreath back together. If I can find the time this weekend, maybe DD and I will work on it. I haven't put away my Easter decorations yet.

That's ok if you do not have time. I like to see creative people's work since I am not creative.

:rotfl2: I am not creative either. It's just a cute little kit I bought from Michael's Craft Store. Maybe I can get my mom to take a picture of hers and I'll post it. :goodvibes

Sorry to answer you so late Marsha, but I did ok bowling the other night. Got my average on the nose one game, missed it by two the next, then was over by 23 pins the third game. So overall, I did ok.

Anyone got big plans for the weekend? We are going to my grandman's 90th birthday party tomorrow at her nursing home. I just can't believe she is 90! And she is doing pretty good. Just forgetful.

Have a great Friday!
