Are you staying at WDW before and/or after the cruise?
We are looking at staying after the cruise.

If so, where are you staying?
We are deciding between BLT or AKV (home)

What is your favorite DVC Resort? Why?
My favorite resort has been AKV. They offer a variety of things for the children. Being able to watch animals from your balcony is an extra bonus and to top it off they have Boma. Now I must say they are not a part of DVC, but I love All Star Movies & Pop Century (1st Disney resort we stayed in, when my daughter was 1, which will be 7 years ago in August and we haven’t stayed off of Disney property since.

Have you stayed at all of the DVC resorts? If not, which one do you want to stay?
We have stayed at Saratoga Springs but only in the Treehouse Villas, which we loved. So we would like to stay in the other part. We would also like to stay at the Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk. We did a character breakfast at the Yacht and Beach Club, but haven’t made up our mind if we want to stay there. One trip we will stay at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, we are planning a trip for November or December and looking to try one of them.

QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK
Are you staying at WDW before and/or after the cruise?
If so, where are you staying?
What is your favorite DVC Resort? Why?
Have you stayed at all of the DVC resorts? If not, which one do you want to stay?

Before the cruise we are staying at a Hilton right by the airport on Friday night. Then Saturday morning we are hoping to head down to Vero Beach for the night. (Tomorrow we can call for the reservation) Then after the cruise we have a 2-bedroom at BLT reserved. Can't wait to try that one.

Our favorite DVC Resort????????? There hasn't been one we haven't liked so far. We own at SSR and BLT. We love SSR and will have our first stay at BLT after the cruise. We have also stayed at OKW and the BW. In March we will be staying at the Wilderness. So we haven't tried all of them, yet. But we are working on it. So, I guess my favorite would be SSR because we have stayed there the most and it feels like home to us.

Good Morning all!!! The weather outside is horrible!!! Our blizzard warning was lifted last night but it continues to snow here. New problem....due to the ice build up our bay window is leaking into the living room. As a side note our house is only a year old - we lost our home to a fire in Feb 2008 and rebuilt it we only moved back in Jan 2009!!! DH has to work all day today so he was out there trying to get rid of some of the ice build up. I have plastic on the bay ledge and the carpeting and then storage tubs catching the water.

This is a horrible winter and I LOVE SNOW!!!! Plus it is only Feb!!! Oh well today is 2 months until WDW for our family trip!!!!

I hope everyone that is in the storm is warm and safe!!!

That is terrible that you lost your house to a fire and now you have a leaking window in the new one. Bummer. Hope everything turns out for you.

The latest storm has put Frederick County (where we live) in a state of emergency. The drifts are as high as 12 feet in some places. Been watching the major Baltimore and Washington news choppers as well as the military blackhawk choppers fly over all morning. There are a lot of people stranded and a few missing. They have shut down 3 major highways as trucks and cars are buried beneath the drifts. EMS has been using snow mobiles to get to people. This is crazy. A part of our church roof has collapsed. I had to get out to get some medicine for my youngest son as he has a fever and vomiting YEAH! Police stopped me and asked why I was on the roads. They said they could have given me a ticket but did not. My truck did not have any trouble but I could see about a mile up the road huge drifts from the one farmers field. They have already cancelled spring break for the kids as snow days. They said they can't keep us in school past June 30th and are asking for waivers so we are not in school that long. This has been crazy. Thank god DW made it home from working at the hospital Tues night and we are all safe at home.

We have roofs collapsing here too. DH's job has a partial roof collapse but they still want him to come into work.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your window leaking! AND that you lost your home in 2008 to a fire! Hopefully you have a respectable builder that will fix it.

WOAH!!! I can't even imagine that much snow! I hope your youngest son is feeling better soon, especially after what you went through to get him some medicine. I hope the schools can get things worked out...I wonder if they would consider Saturday classes to make up some of the days. The poor kids won't get much of a Summer break if they go all the way to June 30th! I hope Mother Nature starts giving you a break soon!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes for Anthony and I. Sorry, have not been writing lately. Its been really crazy. Well, to start off when I booked this cruise I was going crazy waiting to see just how exciting a Disney cruise could be. I couldn't wait until September. So, a friend of mine and I took our oldest kids on a 3 night in December. Found a great price(379.00) for cat 12. Left husbands and younger kids home (nice mother/son) time. We had a GREAT time except for not being able to dock at CC. So, here is the problem I am ADDICTED! We are going to Disney for a few nights in March and I want to add a cruise on to the beginning of the trip. The problem is its so much more then what I paid in December. For 3 of us it would be 2400.00 cat 12 no insurance or transfers. Please be honest am I crazy????

Hi all - well our leaky window seems to be nothing compared to what some of you are experiencing!! We are doing fine and my contraption is catching the water.

It snowed here about another inch lasat ngiht and of course they are talking about how difficult it will be to resume school next week because the roads are still in horrible condition!! I love my kids but seriously PLEASE have school soon!!!

I told DH I was getting out today no matter what he is on afternoon shift so I am showering and LEAVING!!!! Then he tells me we are to get more Sun or Mon! NOOOOO!!!!!

Sorry to hear that your son is sick and you had to go out in the weather. Hope he is feeling better for you. And this is the worst winter ever! We have been dealing with it since the first snow fall back in December but you guys seem to be getting dumped on all at once. Hope you all stay safe with this crazy weather. No you are not crazy! I think that we have decided we like to cruise now more than going to WDW. This will be our 3rd member cruise and 7th overall. The cruise is just much more relaxing for us. However, we are relaxing more when we go to WDW. We don't have to rush around to get everything in while we are there because we know we will be back. But then again, Hello, my name is Chris and I am a Disney Addict!

He is feeling better thanks! Things are getting back as close to normal as they can be. They have shut down the main drag through our small town and have brought in dump trucks and front end loaders. They are cleaning sidewalks and roads in the city. I can't say the same for the county roads. My mom and brother have yet to see a plow. They have cleared us to be on the roads so I am getting out of the house today. Most snow here in maryland in 100 years they were saying. I don't mind the snow but to get dumped all at once has everyone scrambling. I loved the snow when I was in Iowa, of course those that live in the midwest know how to handle and drive in it. Here on the east coast they don't handle it very well. I see the sun I see the sun wooo hoooo. gonna save a few personal days just in case we have to stay in school unitl the 30th because I will either be sick or use personal days to get to WDW on the 29th. I am sure there is another storm coming as it is only Feb. so I am concerned.
