09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

This is our 1st cruise so I don't have one yet. For now the planning and the shopping :woohoo: I broke out the suitcases today  Anyone else?

We have not received our tickets yet...hope we do soon (as well as everyone else!).

I haven't broken out the suitcases yet (they are still in the basement), but me and the girls have gone through our clothes to see what we need. Did some more shopping today and picked up some great sale items. :cool1:

I did start a list for things we need to buy (necessity-wise like shampoo and such). Will do that shopping in another week or two.

For now, we are just getting so excited. August is flying by. Trying to get the daughters ready for back to school. Oldest goes back in 10 days! Youngest has 19 more days. We have orientations to do, a little bit more shopping for that stuff (supplies, shoes, some new uniform tops). Once that's all done, then I will concentrate on packing. Aside from work, housework, laundry...it'll get done. I think? :laundy: :scared1: :confused3

Well, that's it for now. Gotta go do some more laundry :laundy:

Hugs and Kisses~!!!! Just think...only 26 more days!!!!!! Mickey, get ready, cuz here we come! :cool1: :yay: :wizard: pixiedust: :beach: party: :sail: :tinker: :tink:

We haven't received ours either.
Keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow... would make a nice start of the week, since my week will be very busy.
Im still trying to figure out how we can make it to a nice dinner for tomorrow night.. it's our anniversary:cool1:

Nope no cruise tickets here either. I was hoping. Tomorrow would be great, I would love to get them to start off the week. I am so looking forward to vacation, it just is not coming quick enough. I'm worried about not having everything we need also. Stress!!!!

Favorite moment...
when Capt. Tom blows the horn!
Since the maiden voyage... I still get tingly all over!:goodvibes

You can tell everyone is starting to get ready...really ready....for the cruise. We are on page two of the main Disney Meet pages! Page 2!

Well today is officially 26 days until 9/8/07! Who's already packed? Who's still fretting over having everything ready (me)? Who's got their tickets (not me)? Who's got nothing but the cruise on their mind (me)? princess:

Okay...I guess I need to get back to work now. It's a beautiful day outside here in Cleveland, Ohio today. Perfect sky, perfect temp (I think around 80 or so) and beautiful breeze. What's missing? :confused3 Oh yeah. Me. Outside. Enjoying it! :cutie:

Happy Anniversity Bareacuda! How many years? My DH doesn't deem our anniversary anything special (jerk). It just marks another year for him. But then again, he's not one to get excited about his birthday either. However, ask him to remember the date and how many years ago he took one of his trophy deer (he's a hunter), he will recount every single second! Bet he couldn't recount every single second of our wedding day! Men...sometimes I wonder....why bother? Oh yeah, those two beautiful daughters I have. Those are my trophies!

Happy anniversary Baracuda!!! We just celebrated our 10 year on July 26. But we won't really celebrate it until the cruise. I can't wait. We have not gotten any tickets, and I only think about the cruise, I feel like I'm not to sure I'm ready, I know I have shopping to do to get what I'm missing.......WOW! We leave in 22 days!!!! Here hoping our tickets arrive today, that would make my week!

We are also going to celebrate our anniversary on this cruise. We were married 30 years on May 28th. We don't do gifts, we do trips....
I see that there are lots of celebrations in our group.
Michele

Wow lots of anniversaries on that cruise! I know FLTink is celebrating her then too but hers will actually be that week. I know cuz I was lucky enough to be with them on the cruise that they got married at!

Hey Shoes99 - I just noticed we are neighbors on the ship! I apologize in advance for any 3 year old tantrums you might hear (or 31 year old tantrums on debarkation day!).

Hi Michelle (with two LL'S), glad to be neighbors. DH sleeps thru anything.
I am happy to be going on our 10th cruise. I was hoping for an upgrade but we chose the cat 7 for the enclosed verandah....
Looking forwared to meeting you and your family.

I think tinkerbelltris has a son who's celebrating his 8th bd? I am celebrating my belated 45 birthday (my actual bd is 9/3) and my DD will be 13 on 9/30, so an early celebration for her. P A R T I E S all over the place!

Oh, also, no we were stupid enough to not purchase the insurance. DUH! Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing. And, by the way, don't jinx with mention of bad. AHHHH!

The first few cruises we did we skipped the ins...then DW's grandmother had a stroke and other complications. We realived that many things could happen at the last min that would cause us to miss a planned cruise!

Since then we always get travel ins. We shop around for it and lately we have been getting it from Travelex (online). We've never had to file a claim, but...

This year for us to cover $3k cost of trip it was $152. I think you can do it almost up to boarding, though there is "pre-existing exclusions" for long term health issues.

I'm with Bill, it's not too late.

We purchased insurance for weather purposes. It wasn't the Disney insurance, can't remember who it was through. When we purchase insurance we always make sure to get the insurance that has a medical contingency in it, basically it says if you are hospitalized in another country you can be airlifted to the US and that will be covered.

I'm having dinner with fltink & hubby tonight so I am SURE we will discuss the C-R-U-I-S-E!!!

Most of the travel insurance packages lump things together such as:
Trip interruption
Trip cancellation
baggage loss
baggage delay
medical evac
missed connection
rental vehicle

some even offer dental

there are also usually several tiers you can choose from. Some will even insure against pre existing conditions but there is a short time window from when you first booked the trip.

We usually don't get the insurance until the "fork it over date" with DCL has hit. Until then we figure that we can just roll the res to another date without penalty (financial anyway, the kids might still make up pay:scared1: ).

Well, I made it home from frigid Cleveland yesterday afternoon. Not usre what the heat index is here (Orlando), I do know that tires don't usually melt to the pavement. Insert smile face here.

My brother and his wife (DNJLAW) are at Cedar Point today. They were happy for the 'break' in your supposedly warm weather (Insert 2nd smile face here).

Hope all is well - (Go tribe, Go)
