Castaway Club Cards?? What are those?? Ive never received Cards before

If you have cruised with DCL in the past, you are automatically part of the Castaway Club. You are issued a card with your Castaway Club number. Once a member, you can book Palo and excursions for your next cruise at 90 days prior to embarkment. Also, you receive a special lanyard with pins at check-in. There is a CC Reception onboard with the officers. Last but not least, you are welcomed to your stateroom with a special gift waiting on your bed(last year it was a beach bag).

If you don't know your Castaway Club number, contact them. You don't need the card, but you do need your number to get the benefits.

We cruised in April 2006 and have not received any cards. As soon as we got home, I called Disney and asked for our numbers, just so I could see what was on the Club section of the website (nothing terribly exciting.)

Happy Wednesday to all! DS7 has almost one week of school left. His last day is on May 24th. He is so excited to start his summer vacation. We may surprise him with a trip to Sea World in San Antonio, TX or Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX for an end of school year surprise. He surprised us during our last WDW vacation and was willing to ride the more adventurous rides (TOT, Mission:Space, Test Track, Dinosaur). So, he might like to try some of the rides at SW or SF. This Fall, he wants to try RNR @ MGM and Big Thunder Mountain @ MK. I'm excited that I finally get to ride them too.

We are heading off to Disneyland in just 3 days! We fly down Saturday. Our DS, DDIL and DGS7 will meet us there Sat. night. We wiill see some DIS friends from our last cruise for character breakfast at Storytellers on Sunday morning. DGS is very excited to get to see his friend Savannah from the cruise again! She also is 7 and they had a great time together in Dec. Then Sunday evening we are having a DIS meet, again at Storytellers, for dinner with a large group that we will be sailing with thru the Canal in May 2008.

I got the cutest outfits in the mail today from DisneyDirect for the 2 babies that will be sailing with us in Dec. They had a sweet little red velvet dress with Mickey and Minnie and a little sweater vest/bow tie/shirt/slacks outfit for baby boy on sale - as I told DrHug, they were giving them away! Anyway they came today and are so sweet and will be so cute for dress up nights for the little ones who will both have just turned 1 at cruise time.

You made me go to the Disney Store online yesterday. I got a lot of things buy one get one free AND free shipping. It was great! I got DS1 his first "big" Mickey with the buy one get one free deal. My sister is preganant. So, I will give the new baby (a boy) the other Mickey plush toy. Also, we have some birthdays coming up. So, I got DD4 the Cinderella plush doll (buy one get one free) and plan to give the other away for a birthday party we are attending in July. Also, the shorts pajamas were buy one get one free. So, I got DD4 one and plan to give the other with the Cinderella doll present. Also, I got DS1 the Cars play tent for $9.99!!! That was a great deal! I am saving that for his birthday in August. I even bought myself a couple of things. I couldn't resist with the no tax or shipping. I saw the cute baby outfits, but DS1 will be too big. My baby is growing up!!!!! I saw on another thread, someone mentioned the Disney Store(in store, not online) has a lot of family outfits. In case people wanted to have matching outfits. I haven't made it there yet, but plan to . Also, there is a 15% off coupon for the Disney Store in case anyone is interested.

Well, I just booked our family with 2 nights at the NickHotel after the cruise. We're worried about how the kids (yeah right), and us (more likely) feel after the cruise. We're not going to pre-purchase any theme park tickets, we might all prefer to just hang out and relax for those days. If we feel up to it, we might to WDW or Downtown Disney one those days.

Oh, and I got some golfing in today, even if it was 42 and rainy. Golf is golf, and I only get to go out a couple of times a year. If my wife and I ever get the chance to take a trip to one of those popular all inclusive Mexico resorts, I will be taking my clubs

So funny - after all this talk about the Castaway Club Cards, I get one in the mail. My mom and I got ours, but my son and my dad, who cruised with us, did not get one. Doesn't matter, though... I called immediately after we got back and asked for the numbers, so I gain nothing by having the card now. Although it is pretty....

I hope my kid's pirate costumes still fit from our last cruise (November 2006). DS7 has the Jack Sparrow costume from the Disney store. He loves it! The picture of the whole group in pirate costumes is amazing. Last time, we dressed just the kid's in costumes and DH and I wore Pirates of the Caribbean t-shirts. Maybe, we'll dress up this time too! Also, the lime green shirts on the second photo is great. Do we want to wear matching shirts on embarkment day? We sure couldn't miss each other wearing lime green t-shirts! Maybe, we could individually order our t-shirts from the Disney store online? So, those that want to participate can? Just an idea. The items I ordered online last week are suppose to arrive today! Yea! So, they are pretty quick on shipping. Update: The box just arrived!

Do new people to this thread know about the fish extenders gift exchange? Also, do we have a master DISer list for this cruise? If not, I'd be happy to start one.
