I get it - we have something like that down here. You're really not homeschooling - you're child is still part of the system, they just don't have to go to a physical school, right? It seems to work great for some families, and you can't beat the price
We tried a class through Florida Virtual School last year with my oldest. I was amazed at how unorganized it was and how many mistakes there were. It was a computer class, yet they seemed very behind in their knowledge of technology

Go figure! We ended up dropping the class - we've always homeschooled choosing our own curriculum, doing things our own way, and that class had too many hoops to jump through just to "learn" things like Word, Power Point, etc.
It worked better when I just had him use those tools as part of his school work. He kind of learned as he used them and we also found some good tutorials online that he could refer to when he ran into something he couldn't figure out.
