We're snowed in today. Dh just got off to work, about an hour and a half late. Ds is outside in the snow with dd. He's supposed to be at his last day of school but I can't get my van out and he's not on the bus roster. (I saw it drive right by but they're not expecting him.) We have a snow blower but we can't find the key to the darn thing! So on his way to the office dh is stopping at Wal Mart to see if they have a replacement key. Still have to get the guinea out to a friend and pick up ds' dress pants at the seamstress, rush job once we realized they were too long...

Glad we've got a day or two to spare to get to the port though it would kind of negate our great fare on SW to have to buy it at the airport on Friday instead of flying Thurs am according to plan.

Oooof sorry to hear about your snow. I wonder if it's the storm that dropped 3" of snow and then a 1/4" of ice on us Saturday evening. We're supposed to get 6" today and then snow showers the rest of the week.

Yes, I'm also jealous of Angie and co. Hope they're having fun at WDW!

Hope you get out of there as planned. I can't imangine going from "Snowed In" to Swimming Suits. My sinuses would be so crazy. It's mid 30's here this a.m. but by Sat a.m. when we leave it will be close to 80. And my sinues are going crazy.

So is everyone all packed up? I just need to put our jewelry in our carry on tonight and we are set.

I'm just working a few hours today, then going to grab the DD and the dog and we'll drop Jake off at his "resort" on the way to Jasmine's Dr's appt down at SHAPE.

I hear the 2009 DCL itineraries may be announced today or Friday. It looks like Caribbean though, which doesn't really excite me.

Started yesterday, ironing today (yes I iron everything). Told DD6 last night and she's already on my nerves BUT we couldn't hide it anylonger. She doesn't want to go to school the rest of the week.

They said 1 would lose a husband, adn that is Victor (husband), and they would lose a friend. I think Ida, the old lady with the cat in the basement, I think she is expendable.

They only have 1 more show filmed and that is the next one. They are not sure when they are going to air it though.

I have a few episodes to catch up on this - love the show just been too busy.

Few questions?:
1- Do we need to bring beech towels?
2- Is there a fridge in the rooms? I've heard of people bringing the soft sided icechest.
3- Can I hang only signs on the door? Garland??? or other stuff that pokes out?

BTW been reading daily just too busy to write.

Thanks for the good wishes! Jason our storm is coming through the NE, New England--don't know if it's made it all the way from where you are! Funny, they weren't really predicting it, here they were saying a few cm of snow then lots of rain. It's getting drizzley now, but with the snow that's already down that could make it worse-damming up and freezing at night. Fingers crossed. Dh is a very confident and good driver, and I NEVER do any of our vacation driving!!

Mid 30's? Really? Wow!

I have heard they supply towels for CC and the pools but that they're not that big. Shore excursions you're on your own.

The rooms have "beverage coolers", apparently; enough to keep your juice cold but don't count on it holding milk at a safe temp for a few days. We have a soft sided thing we're bringing too I think--that's dh's dept.

Angie (I think) told me they had a small string of battery-op lights last year. But it's all got to be attached with the magnets, not tape. I have some garlandy stuff, I hot-glued magnets from the craft section at Wal Mart.

Should be packing...but we're not bringing our laptop this time and the thought of being "unwired" for 2.5 weeks is making me nervous...

We are tucked in at VWL. The weather here in FL was absolutely perfect today! Hope it holds. We went to MGM today then to Mexico in Epcot for dinner. It was yummy! Tomorrow we plan to spend most of the day at EPCOT. My favorite! DD Sweetpea says she does not think she can stay at EPCOT all day.

ANGIE!!!!! I am SOOO jealous of you and everyone else already down there!!! (That goes for you too Beth!!!) I am down to counting hours of work left until I'm "On Vacation". I have 14 hours and 47 minutes of work as I'm typing this. Wednesday's my last day of work and then when Tina gets home Thursday from work we're out the door coming down there!!! Make sure and have plenty of fun everyone and we'll see you in a few days!!!!!

DW has a MRI on her knee tonight. She has had some pain in it for awhile now. Whatever they say though we are still going on vacation

I'm sorry to hear this about Annette. I'm sending Annette's way.

My knee has been bothering me too since Thanksgivng when I was getting bowls and casserole dishes out of the back of our pantry for our Thanksgiving feast. I hope it is only temporary.

Is anyone else feeling really stressed today? I feel like I have had too much caffiene and I haven't had any. I keep checking my notes and lists. At least my boss isn't in today to distract me. Getting ready for this cruise seems like a lot of work this time. I don't remember that for our past 5 DCL cruises. A few more days. I think I am worried about the weather Friday (but that is why we are going a day early) I do worry about home and family while gone. (I can forget about those things onboard but right now they are heavy on my mind).

Oh my have I been stressed. We've had two major servers crash, and I seem to be the only one who can fix things and think through the issues logically. Everyone else is running around yelling fire. Too bad when Wed evening rolls around, my laptop is getting turned off for two weeks. I don't care if the company crashes and burns, it's not my issue. I've told my boss that this is a real vacation and not a "working vacation" like the last two turned into.

Wow... that's an amazing webcam. I kinda get desensitized to weather living in Southern California. It always seems odd to hear people talking about snow when I can't even tell what season of the year it is here.

You can always grab a couple from beside the pool to take with you on excursions too. Just be sure to bring them back. But they are regular size bath towels... so if you like a bigger beach towel, you might want to bring one.

Yes. I think it's because I know that if I can just get through today, then I can really devote time to getting ready and having everything set to go. But not being able to work on it today is driving me crazy!
