Mary, hope your dd feels better soon. We have been lucky with ear infections, but I know they are just awful, even for grown ups...I hate to hear of a little one suffering with one.
I've been working on my skirt tonight in an effort to get it "done enough" to know if it was going to work before I put all the finishing work into it.
So, ... uhmmm... yeah... I'll be going shopping this weekend.
This is may be my son's last Santa year. The oldest is turning 9 and the younger is 5. I've planned 7 nights of Christmas with Santa visiting each night while they sleep with little presents through next Thursday night. We leave next Friday for Orlando. Then on the ship I'm going to have presents each night on their pillow from Mickey.
Hmm. We are closing in on that I think...ds is asking ME for stuff, and when I mention Santa, it's like, "oh, yeah, Santa..." Sigh. I LOVE doing Santa stuff. If he tells his little sister I'll kill him!

Welcome Bob and family! Yes, more twin boys, what a coincidence! My dd is 4, and waaaay excited!
And I see you did some back-reading.
I had flown to St. Louis on Sept 10. Americans have short memories, but that is a day I will never forget. I could not get home until Sunday. That was the day I got my priorities straight! Dennis and I have not traveled without each other further than we can drive since then. I learned that day that if we are together anything is ok, if we are separated in a time of crisis it is NOT ok. My chest still gets tight when I think about it. It was very, very lonely in St Louis.
Dennis still has the Timex Sinclair he had back in the late 1970's (you hooked it to the TV and ran it with a tape recorder!). We just threw out all the others he has had since then. We still have 2 plus 3 laptops.
!
Ok, that I've never heard of. My dad bought us "Pong" the Christmas it came out, I remember using that on the tv! He was such an "early adopter" my gadget-guy dad.

I'm sorry he didn't live long enough to see the way computers have changed our world. I also remember doing my stats course with punch cards on the huge mainframe...

AND I remember the first time I got an email from someone in Europe, now that was amazing. I also hung out in the "rec.travel" usenet group back in the early 90's...all character-based, only available at work at the college (during my "breaks"!).
Got my documents the other day. But more importantly I got my Spanx today!!
I keep doing that "in one week we will be..." thing.
Oh, it's Thursday, I can go look at the Wonder in port...
