OMG, I've been all day trying to catch up! Congrats on all those

s!
More than our first date. We met at
Disneyland, on the Small World ride and got married just over 3 weeks later. We cannot decide if this union is magical or if this it a Mickey Mouse marriage!
That is incredibly sweet. Dh and I had a month (July), then he moved to Germany (had the job before we met--it wasn't me, I swear!). The next time we got together was December and he asked me to marry him then.

There's a romantic story...I actually won a prize from CBC radio (closest you'd have is NPR I guess) on a Valentine's call in about romantic stories...Anyway. Love short romances before the happily ever after stories.
I remember Years.... ago... Watching Romper Room... and the Magic Mirror.. and when I heard my name.. I was like.. OMG!! They said Hello to me !!!!
You know there were like, 7 Joannes in my class--very popular name--but I NEVER remember her "finding" me. Pout. Maybe that's why I've spent a small fortune in courier charges making sure my kids' "birthday stars" get in under the deadline for the national kids' show.
PEBCAK... Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard. When anyone calls me to get a password reset, that's my usual reset. That or ID "ten" T. ID10T.
Thank you Beth! DS2 is back to his old mischievous self today. He is standing right next to me saying "shoe", over and over and over again.

I bought him new shoes yesterday and now he doesn't want to take them off. So, yes he is feeling much better today.

However, Mommy is a bit tired now.
Glad he's feeling better but sorry you're paying the price now!

I feel much more comfortable with that, thanks for taking the trouble on that, Stacy. We really appreciate your effort.
Hey all!
I am new to the disboards. I just booked our very first
Disney Cruise, we are going on December 8th and I was wondering if the ship does anything geared around the holidays? Christmas music, shows, decorations etc....
Thanks in advance for the responses!
Welcome, welcome!
...not to be a downer, but I was in the wedding of a friend last year who stayed married for 27 days...yup, DAYS. I paid $300 for the bridesmaid dress (which was BEIGE and STRAPLESS and I was NURSING at the time), then on top of that add the shower gift and the CASH wedding gift (which was not refunded NOR was I ever thanked for)...since we moved (from VA to NY) I havne't spoken to her...
...takes all kinds...
As someone who nursed children for YEARS (and I only have two), the image of trying to fit into and stay within a strapless gown while nursing, just cracked me up!
Honestly, I agree with getting the photos. Here's my "story": DW and I were both in college and living together when we got married. We thought since we had been engaged for 2 years, lets just get married. It doesn't matter how much money we have because we'll be married and that's all that matters....WRONG!! Being married is what matters, but because we were trying to cut corners we hired a photojournalism major to take our pictures. Let's put it this way; she broke 3 DSLR cameras on our wedding day (and no wisecracks on that!) and ended up having to use our bridesmaid's 35mm camera and her shots were NOT that great. Looking back, I wish we would have splurged on photography more than anything else. We even thought about having our vows renewed just to get the photos in our formalwear. You can get a couple's cabana massage on any cruise with a bottle of champagne, but this is going to be the only time in your wedding attire. You'll be glad you have the pictures.
Mmm, we went cheap with the brother of one of my bridesmaids--a working photojournalist, but NO sense of how to do a wedding, what would be important...twenty years later I have NO official wedding photos, only the donated prints of friends and relatives

Hi, I'm new to this board, will be crusin on Dec 8. It will be my hubby and I, and 5 children ages 8 - 22. Five of us went for a 4 day last year and had a great time, I can't wait to go again this time with the whole family.
To answer the qustion about Christmas things, the 4 day cruise last year had a Christmas concert on the staircase and it was so beautiful. Then another night Mrs. Clause read "the night before Christmas) to the children, all of them sitting on the floor bright eyed and full of wonder is was so magical. I have only been on the cruise once (last Christmas) and I can't amagine the cruise without the Christmas magic.
Welcome to you too! And thanks for that info, I hadn't heard that before. I hope we get something similar!!
I will write down the seating rotation tomorow for reference (i can only access the internal site at work) Of course, since i cant see the reservation information I cant guarentee that it won't change But for reference i will post all of the rotations tomorow.
Have a great night!
I would love that! Not that it changes anything, but the obsessive planner in me NEEDS to know!
We got our pirate night costumes in the mail today. Really fun! Can't wait to wear them. B/c the kids missed out on trick or treating (sick), dh had promised them a "dry run" pirate party at home. Any suggestions for the menu??
So, is it worth it to stay up late to see they open any Palo ressies at the 30 day mark? It'd be 1 am here, and I'm up at 6:30...would hate to miss a chance, but don't want to stay up if there's no reason.
