umm.. ok.. well since we are all sharing... here's goes my life..

I was 16 when I got pregnant with ds.. Married his Father when I turned 18.. That was "the thing to do" even though it never fully felt right.. He was/is an alcoholic.. I grew up and went into "Mommy" mode and he stayed a Partier.. We we seperated like 3 or 4 times while he "dried" out and tried again.. I finally had enough and divorced him when I was 26.. We had been seperated for almost a year as our divorce went through..

Well started working for my Hubby's Uncle and met DH.. He was also divorced, no children though.. We dated and got married and a year after we married, he adopted my son as his own..

I'm 34, DH is 37 and DS is 17.. We have been married 6 years and it is 100% different & way better.. then the 1st time.. We do things we didn't do in our first marraiges.. So it must be working

Awwww, I love stories with happy endings:love: Im glad things worked out so great for you.

If not, we can email them. We got suckered into ordering the horribly overpriced Disney Wedding picture CD. DF kept telling me you cant put a price on wedding memories...but i was just thinking that i would rather do the couples cabana massage and order a bottle of champagne for the cost of it!

I also was really young (18) when I had my DD. She is now in college and may miss this trip because of final exams. I am on second marriage. While it is not a bed of roses, it is really good.

I met my husband many years before we dated. My husband was my brother's college roommate. He really liked to party, but settled down and began looking attractive to me. Now that we are married, he is dud. He goes to bed by nine and often gets up before six. Even on the weekends.

I guess the best part of marrying my brother's friend is that my brother told us all the dirty laundry on each other before we dated. We were both fully aware of what we were getting. If I ever try to complain to my brother, he just points out that I knew what I was getting and laughs at me. It always makes me laugh when he does that.

Oh, my cute, single brother will be cruising with us! This cruise will be like a family reunion. I can't wait to spend a week with my brother and mom!

My pick would be the same as yours. The cabana massage was one of the highlights of our last cruise. I HIGHLY recommend it to all of the couples. :thumbsup2

It's not where you start in life, but where your journey takes you. Sounds like your destination was meant to be and we're extremely happy for you. :goodvibes

Honestly, I agree with getting the photos. Here's my "story": DW and I were both in college and living together when we got married. We thought since we had been engaged for 2 years, lets just get married. It doesn't matter how much money we have because we'll be married and that's all that matters....WRONG!! Being married is what matters, but because we were trying to cut corners we hired a photojournalism major to take our pictures. Let's put it this way; she broke 3 DSLR cameras on our wedding day (and no wisecracks on that!) and ended up having to use our bridesmaid's 35mm camera and her shots were NOT that great. Looking back, I wish we would have splurged on photography more than anything else. We even thought about having our vows renewed just to get the photos in our formalwear. You can get a couple's cabana massage on any cruise with a bottle of champagne, but this is going to be the only time in your wedding attire. You'll be glad you have the pictures.

Wow...you guys have been busy. I have alot of catching up to do. :thumbsup2

You're right.... to me 1000$ seems alot for pictures, but in reality many people spend much more. We will just have to do another cruise for our cabana massage!

I've been waiting 3 years for DH to finish the banister :sad2:
We stripped it down and he needs to kinda sand it and stain it and seal it..
But... with all our Vacations.. It got put wayyyyyyyy back on the back burner.. Heck I don't think it is even in the Kitchen anymore it was delayed so much

Ha, got you beat!! DS (23) and DH installed a new banister before DS went away to college...well 4 years of college and 1 living in CA, and guess what still isn't finished??? :rotfl:

...not to be a downer, but I was in the wedding of a friend last year who stayed married for 27 days...yup, DAYS. I paid $300 for the bridesmaid dress (which was BEIGE and STRAPLESS and I was NURSING at the time), then on top of that add the shower gift and the CASH wedding gift (which was not refunded NOR was I ever thanked for)...since we moved (from VA to NY) I havne't spoken to her...

...takes all kinds...:rolleyes1
I can beat that...
When I was a wedding photographer, way back in my first life, I gave one of my co-workers a gift of my services as photographer as her wedding gift. It was a beautiful wedding, but she was back at work on Monday (wedding was Saturday). That was it--after two days, they never spoke again. I have no idea what happened, and I never printed the pictures. She took the rolls of film and destroyed them all!

WOW! That is a crazy story! What must have happened on her honeymoon!?!

Oh yeah! I found out on the DCL intranet that they will not be showing National Treasure 2 (that premiers on the 12/21 cruise) but Enchanted, and Dan in Real Life were both posted.
I don't want to spoil dining rotations for anyone (some people might like the suprise???), but i feel very disapointed to see how its done :sad1:

So if post # 10,000 was worth 4 pirate:s (congrats again Dr Hug), would 50,000 be worth 5 pirate:s and 100,000 be worth 6 pirate:s? :rolleyes1

Hmmm...we have some work to do. ;)

I am so excited they will be showing Enchanted! I've been bugging DH that I want to go see it, but he keeps rolling his eyes...

Emi, you must have been *really* bored at work! Maybe a career with DCL is in the cards for you? You and (almost) DH could work on a ship together (think Mickey and Minnie...) :rotfl2:

Can you tell us where you found the DCL site? Is it top secret? I am brand new at this and no nothing.
