08 DEC 2007 - 7 Day Eastern Magic Part 3

...So I was putting everything on a calendar last night, now that we are fairly certain about our dining rotation. (Thanks again Emi!!) I had completely forgotten about the character breakfast! I read in Passporter that you get your tickets in your room or something like that...looks likely ours will be on Sunday morning.

So then it occured to me...are there any adults in our group who might not be using their tickets? And if so, would it be OK for those of us with enthusiastic kids to use some tickets that might otherwise go unused? I know my kids could go to a character breakfast daily! Or maybe Julie just wants to borrow some? ;) Might be more trouble than it's worth, and I certainly wouldn't want to embark on something that might be considered taking advantage...though my experience with Disney CMs is that they're happy if we're happy... Though I know if I were on a Disney cruise kid-less I'd probably still be stalking the characters... :tiptoe:

Or maybe, like Palo, there's a waitlist for "extra" ressies for this? (Everyone gets one chance then...??)

Other parents in our group might like that second chance too, I'm thinking. Just a thought, hope no-one's offended by my asking. :hippie:

OK, this is it, I'm packing up my computer! Jim and I will not be using our character breakfast tickets, so if it's possible to share them, someone is welcome to them. We don't like a lot of commotion at meals. We prefer good food and good conversation with good people. We will even settle for not quite so good food if the conversation and the people are good, so we should be having a blast on this cruise!

First appointment of the morning and I am now sporting hot pink hair!!! This is the closest type color to pink I could find. I LOVE IT!

I have to rethink PALO now. We were hoping for brunch on Sunday but if we have APLAPLA that means the character breakfast would be on Sunday. Since we are going to the parks, we might just skip it and DD will never know the difference.

Yes, I think so--given your kids' ages. But aren't you part of a larger group? Don't know how that would influence things. :confused3

I'm not sure about larger groups either. We have 2 1 year olds, a 13 year old and 10 adults ranging from 30 something to 82. What age group are we? :confused3

If you have early dinner seating you will have an early Character Breakfast and can do both. Or if you are late dinner seating you can book Palo for noonish and still do both. You will not eat alot, i.e. stuff yourself, at the Character Breakfast. The kids will eat very little since they have to get up and go into the aisles to interact with the characters.

We have late seating, but really do not want to eat Brunch as late as noon. I guess it will depend on what we get when we board. Still nothing showing online.

Were you ever able to get the private room for yourself?

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I don't now what it is about men and long hair.

Maybe I'm a little different (I have been told that more than once) but long hair on women is not an issue. :hippie: My DW cut her very long hair over 25 years ago and it has been short ever since. I like it.

:scared: However, one of these days I will get lasik. Bill got it last year and says he wish he'd done it sooner. So, hopefully next year.

- Jennifer

I had mine done when we were in OKC about 5 years ago. It has been the greatest thing to put away glasses and contacts. :woohoo:

Don't blame me!! You smelled the pirate: too!

And you do realize everyone else is going to get up in the morning and read all this and think "What were these two crazy broads talking about all night?" :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Now I realize it was ONLY 1AM your time but it was 3AM for Jennifer

What pirate:'s :thumbsup2

Good morning!

If you can park hop, you should be able to come back into the Magic Kingdom. The party doesn't officially start until 7pm, but I've heard that you can get in with your ticket and get your wrist band as early as 4pm.

That reminds me, I need to order our Very Merry tickets! We're going on 11/27 :santa:

You can come and go all day with a Park Hopper Pass (or AP) but you can only get the wristband at the time they decide to pass them out. This has usually been between 4PM and 5PM.

We're going on the 18th and will be at MK all day. :woohoo:

No offense  I am sure that there will be some who do not go. In our cruises the only time one of our tablemates went to the Character breaskfast was the one Single Mom with a 12 yo boy. All of our adult tablemates chose not to attend. :confused3

Not ME! I love it!

DrHug is the same. He's a little "different" too! :lmao: He thought I was purty when my hair was short when we met, when it was long a few times over the years, and now that is it short again. I thought he was very handsome without a beard/mustache when we met, and with one of each a couple of times, and now without one again.

Okay, I've tried searching, but it has been in vain. I didn't write down the likely dining rotation someone posted over the past few days, based on her knowledge as a cast member. I can't even remember her name (the one who posted the info)!

Can anyone help? I seem to be a bit foggy-headed this morning, so perhaps I'm just not working the "Thread Search" box correctly

Brack, they do not do this anymore. :sad2: The little ones get up and dance with the characters, no interaction with us big kids.....unless we want to get out there and knock over the toddlers. :scared: :sad1:

Over 10,000 posts and I have never been able to get the search function to work either! It was Emi, our bride. Someone will find it for you, but don't make your plans based on it...... If they have many families with little ones, or many with bigger kids or many adults alone they will make whatever adjustments they need to even it out.

:scared1: This photo was from the last cruise .... when did they stop visiting the tables? :sad1:

I have never been able to use the search function either. The board used to let me list all of the posts of any person but that has stopped. :confused3

There has been all kinds of stir about it over on the main boards. I plan to ask our servers to be sure (they could change back based on customer feedback) before I get up and dressed early to attend.

...so now that we've got our stateroom assignments...on to the next obsession...

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR DOCS??

:guilty: Confession time .... I have infected someone else with my DISDisease

Our HR Director also attends the church we do. Her family is doing a 7 day land & sea next May. I told her about the DISBoards on Friday. Her DH told me on Sunday that she has spent at least 3 hours a day on the DIS since. :lmao:
