Ok... I'm going to bed :rolleyes1

Enjoy your pirate! :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:

:cloud9: I guess I need to head to bed too. It's been nice chatting with you Julie! It's rare I get to chat to someone who is actually online this time of night/morning. :goodvibes Then again, your on the West Coast. But, it is even late there now too. We are crazy. Aren't we? Night!

I am finally getting to do what I actually came onto the computer to do (modify our WDW itinerary). I wanted to let those that plan to attend MVMCP know that a CM the other day told me they will not let people into MK at 4 PM with just a party ticket. They moved it to 5:30/5:45/6:00. She honestly said it would depend on the CM at the gate. But, they will no longer let people in at 4 PM. Maybe Emi can clarify this for us?

Thank you in advance Emi. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone.

I have a question about the holiday party tickets. If we are in the parks in the morning and go leave for a late lunch early dinner, when can we get back in. I read four, but then it did not matter if you were already in the parks even if you left.

Can someone clarify? We are getting signed into the parks but want to leave to get lunch/dinner offsite, to freshen up and to rest before a night of fun. We had to purchase the holiday party tickets separate. We will be able to park hop which is pretty cool in itself.

Hey Wendy..for the lanyards, how about:
Disers cruise The Magic with style! OR Disers sail The Magic with style.

Good morning!

If you can park hop, you should be able to come back into the Magic Kingdom. The party doesn't officially start until 7pm, but I've heard that you can get in with your ticket and get your wrist band as early as 4pm.

That reminds me, I need to order our Very Merry tickets! We're going on 11/27 :santa:

heres another sign I just made the middle looks bad but don't have anything to clean it up with..:confused3

Verrry cute Stefanie!

Well, I just got the stuff today. So I went through the process of getting out the fabric, debating washing it first, then realizing it would lose its nice, crisp fold that I need for pattern cutting (and it's taffeta, so it shouldn't shrink anyway). After that I had to run the cat away from the bag as she was trying to climb into it and move it to the dining room table. Where I quickly realized that 4 yards of fabric isn't going to fit for pattern cutting unless I put the leaf back in the table.

But I did actually pull the instruction sheet out of the pattern and "plan" how I'm gonna go about it all. :lmao:

I figure I'll actually get it done the night before our flight. I work best under pressure. :rolleyes1

Oh my, that sounds vaguely familiar and frightening!! The last thing I made was my junior prom dress. I figure one of these days I'll have to make a costume for the kids, but then, hot glue works, right?? I've got about 20 patches to sew on ds's beavers vest...oh, and Daddy's too...why can't they make those thing iron-on??

Julie, sorry you're "medically interesting". I had a friend whose doc got a published paper out of her. :scared: I gave up on the lasik idea when I realized it was too late, I'm very nearly bifocal material now...:sad2:

I'll definitely take the first sonogram home and study it carefully. But I think I only want any of the follow up ones if they don't give away any surprises. We've talked about it, and I think we wanna be surprised in the delivery room. And I'm sure I'll give the "as long as it's healthy" speech a couple hundred times... but, really, I wanna girl. ;) princess:

Whenever you find out, it'll be a great, lovely surprise. Ds was a delivery-room surprise and dd was an ultrasound-room surprise. Both wonderful and amazing. And dh was there for both. But, um, if you didn't like the experience of the doc pointing at some weird image and saying "look at this", the ultrasound is that in spades..."how do you KNOW that's a head/heart/limb??"

Good morning everyone! Quiet day here, kids are off and dh warned me the driveway is icy so we're staying put. (Poor guy fell on his behind on the walkway. Caught unawares--no salt or sand in the house yet.)

Hi everyone. Thanks for your kind words yesterday, it means a lot to me that we're all so close already. I can't wait to meet each of you!

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I don't know what it is about this cat. She loves all kinds of boxes and bags. She also loves it if she happens to get into a plastic grocery bag, if you pick it up and swing it around. You'd think a cat would be howling and clawing to get out, but she loves it. Once you put the bag down, she just pokes her head out with a little meow as if to say "more?" Her favorite place to sleep is on top of some moving boxes we have in one of the closets. :confused3
I'm so glad you posted this. I thought our cat was the only one who loved this!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I don't now what it is about men and long hair. DH likes mine long too though I always threaten to cut it off. I've had it long enough and then cut enough to donate to Locks of Love twice. I was looking at the pictures from our last Disney cruise and it was down to my waist. I'd forgotten it was that long just two years ago.

But yeah, I wear it up and out of my way most days. It's just more practical. :confused3
Jim doesn't like long hair, but that's too bad. I don't really like beards! My hair is just below my waist now. I almost always wear it up, which makes him somewhat happier about it. My hair is very soft and doesn't do much of anything, so I put it in a bun/braid/roll/twist/ponytail or whatever I feel like, fix my bangs somehow and I look somewhat grown up and sophisticated!

Julie, sorry you're "medically interesting". I had a friend whose doc got a published paper out of her. :scared: I gave up on the lasik idea when I realized it was too late, I'm very nearly bifocal material now...:sad2:

When DS was born ultrasound wasn't really in use yet, so when Shannan came along it was fascinating. DDIL had her first ultrasound when she was about six months pregnant. Shannan was perfectly recognizable at that time, and the way she was positioned, she was facing the camera and waving! We have that picture framed on our display shelf in the living room. She looked almost exactly the same when she finally was born.

OK, now I have to go and pack for my trip. I stopped here at my desk to grab my cell phone and charger, and ended up catching up on everything I missed last night. I'll be back later tonight or early in the morning before I actually head out to the convention floor!

Have a good day, everyone!

Beth

...So I was putting everything on a calendar last night, now that we are fairly certain about our dining rotation. (Thanks again Emi!!) I had completely forgotten about the character breakfast! I read in Passporter that you get your tickets in your room or something like that...looks likely ours will be on Sunday morning.

So then it occured to me...are there any adults in our group who might not be using their tickets? And if so, would it be OK for those of us with enthusiastic kids to use some tickets that might otherwise go unused? I know my kids could go to a character breakfast daily! Or maybe Julie just wants to borrow some? ;) Might be more trouble than it's worth, and I certainly wouldn't want to embark on something that might be considered taking advantage...though my experience with Disney CMs is that they're happy if we're happy... Though I know if I were on a Disney cruise kid-less I'd probably still be stalking the characters... :tiptoe:

Or maybe, like Palo, there's a waitlist for "extra" ressies for this? (Everyone gets one chance then...??)

Other parents in our group might like that second chance too, I'm thinking. Just a thought, hope no-one's offended by my asking. :hippie:

DS had off Thursday and Friday for Teacher's Convention and Monday he has off for Veteran's Day..

Oh.. quick story before I go... Poor DS :guilty:

DS for his Last delivery had an almost $80 order.. 3 orders of buffalo calimari, 2 chicken parm sandwhiches, 2 veil parm dinners, garlic bread knots, ceasar salad and a Pecan salad..

He drives to the address.. nope.. they didn't order.. Checks all the neighbors house Nope.. they didn't order.. Calls work.. yes the street address is correct.. Calls the phone number.. "sorry the number you have reached is not in service, please check the number again" :headache:

DS was hoping to get a nice tip.. He thought some Drunken Football watching Partiers ordered food and would give him a nice tip.. Nope!!

I just don't understand the mentality of someone who actually thinks it is fun to do that. :sad2:

Bill was reading me some posts the other night and you typed something that made me say "I really like her. She is funny". True story. :rotfl:

- Jennifer

DrHug is sitting near me and I just read him a couple of posts, then we had a discussion ending with "what a fun group of people we are sailing with this trip." True story.:)

I would love some also. So we should be on the APL rotation also???

Finished our literature reading and got the kids started on their schoolwork - now I can try to catch up on here :)

I just realized that I don't need to be in a rush to get our weekend orders out as today is a holiday and the post office will be closed. I guess that means I can get caught up on housework instead :laundy:

The tickets aren't really "tickets". They are just notification of the day/time you go, not something you have to turn in to get in. Your servers will also remind you the night before and will be there for your breakfast. Also, the characters do not come around to the tables anymore. :sad2: So it is not what we all think of as a traditional Character Breakfast. They just have the kids get up and dance with them in the aisles.....no individual photos with the child, no autographs. We will be skipping it I think. We party with the characters at the deck parties!
