Addicts, I tell you, we are addicts!I really wish I could homeschool my DD. By the time I retire from the military, she'll be 15. Do you have any thoughts on whether or not homeschooling is a good idea for teens? Or do you think they are better off at school for the social aspect?
So, he gets the social aspect of regular school, but benefits of homeschooling. Wouldn't affect his band grade too much if he missed a week or two.
He also is very active in the youth group at church for social activities.OMG you sound JUST like Tina!!!I don't know how many nights, (probably EVERY) that I fall asleep before she does, just because she can't get comfy and her mind is racing about other things. I don't know what it is but most of the time if I am stressed about something I might have heartburn or be stressed during the day or something like that, but NOTHING gets in the way of my sleep!!!

There are tables outside the pin shop at DTD where people can "trade" pins. Most though are "pro" traders who want as many "good/great/rare" pins as they can get for as few "good/great" pins as they can get by with.
Unless there is a particular rare pin that you "cannot live without" and are willing to trade anything for it then you will not get a good trade.
DrHug got 5 or 6 of the no longer used DCL "It's My Birthday" Pins, and has shared all but 2 with DISer kids that we have cruised with. Had to be their BD though of course. He will keep the one he originally got for his BD in 2002 on the first DVC Members only cruise and someday may sell or trade the last one.
and
do their plundering and then take off!
Whew! Makes me tired to think about it. Maybe I'll just DIS a while longer.
It is hard to believe you only booked 2 weeks ago - how many posts have we done since then???
The post count of the thread started two years ago has more than doubled just in the past two weeks. It wasn't all me, I swear.
Either that or the white Mickey shirts would probably work too![]()
Ambien is wonderfulI used to take a whole tablet, but I've found that a 1/2 works just as well at helping me to get to sleep. But I'm not groggy in the morning.

And you sound just like my husband! He's always out like a light about 4 minutes after we get in bed. It takes me at least a good half hour to clear my mind enough to get to the point where I'm ready for sleep. It hasn't been a problem in the past, but we've had colds the last few weeks which means as soon as he drops off, he starts snoring... which, of course, keeps me awake. Luckily, he doesn't snore when he doesn't have a cold. On the lime green t shirts...well, it makes more sense now that someone said, wear them on the first day so we recognize each other...phew! Until I "got" that, it was the one thing that was sounding...a little cultish.![]()
Everyone remember... don't offer JoAnne any fruit punch from the drink station.
I was born & raised in NC (I was almost 30 when we left) but we have lived so many places in the last 25 years that my "accent" is fairly neutral.
DS (17) is a GRUMP like his Mom when he gets woken up... DH and I fight in the morning cause I like the quiet as I try and Wake Up and he wants the TV onI can't sleep with it on and he can't fall asleep with it off
So I normally stay and Dis
until I hear him snoring.. that's when I know it's safe to go in the room, turn off the TV and listen to the quiet

We did not homeschool, but DGS's best friend is homeschooled kid. Our local high school lets him attend the high school for some classes and homeschool the rest. He is in band at regular school all 4 years and he took a math class in his junior year that his parents felt better having someone else teach. So, he gets the social aspect of regular school, but benefits of homeschooling. Wouldn't affect his band grade too much if he missed a week or two.
He also is very active in the youth group at church for social activities.
