 Reason #173 we don't yet have kids. ;)

I feel your pain though. I've had a lot of trouble sleeping lately. It's been better the last few nights, but before that, I hadn't gotten a good night's sleep in about 3 weeks. It can really wear on a person.

I hope you guys have a great trip! :grouphug: Do the kids still not know (other than Cole?)

:wave2: Hi Julie!

I have trouble sleeping some nights too. My doctor prescribed me Ambien CR. However, I can't take it the nights I need to be up early the next morning. I will sleep right through the alarm. :rolleyes1

- Jennifer

I had a doctor's appointment a couple of days ago. Thankfully, it had cleared up by then, but if it hadn't, I was seriously thinking about asking for something. I've never taken anything prescribed to help me sleep, but it seems like I'm having more and more trouble the older I get. If it crops up again, I'll have no problem asking. DH might just insist.... I get pretty darn grumpy after a few nights of no sleep! ;)

Good Morning Everyone :hippie:

I just realized I only gave Robby 1 pirate: for the 6500th post rather than 2. :scared1: I am SO SORRY!!

I fixed that gross error, and added Stacey's pirate: for her 6600th post!

Now I need to settle back with my coffe, and get caught up from last night!:surfweb:

The current score is based upon
100th post = 1 Pirate
500th post = 2 Pirates
1000th post = 3 Pirates

Brack 21
JsMom2 14
Pfishgirl 12
TXTaylors 9
Mrs Mork 7
Cruise 6
AmberDaClown 6
RBennett 6
Plutojudy 1
WIFamily 1
Mommyoftwinfants 1
Coastgirl 1

If you have trouble sleeping, personally I recommend Ambien CR. :thumbsup2 Even though I am NOT asleep right now. :lmao: This evening, Cole is to blame for my insomnia. It is non-addictive and it does help you get a good nights sleep. Some people just need a little push to get into a deep sleep. Also, stress can keep you from sleeping. Some nights I would lay in bed thinking what I should be doing instead of sleeping. I needed help to "turn off".

- Jennifer

Morning/Evening Wendy! I am about to go wake up Bill. Look out Mickey. . . here we come!:cool1:

- Jennifer

:thumbsup2 Yes, Cole is still the only one who knows our destination. This is fun!:cool1: I was able to sneak their lanyards out of their rooms this evening (they have them hanging on their walls). They are going to be so tired when I go in and wake them up in thirty minutes. They won't notice the lanyards are missing. Those pins sure are noisy when you're trying to sneak out with them. We are hoping to get everyone out the door by 4 AM. Cole is already dressed. I changed him when he got up. So, I better go change myself before it is time to get the others up.

:goodvibes Everyone have a great weekend! :goodvibes

- Jennifer

PS - :cheer2: GO COWBOYS! :cheer2: (That's for Bill:love: )

Okay, I really AM off this time. . .

Wendy.... Shannon aka Sweetpea... is celebrating a Birthday on December 8th

Thanks...got it.

OK my list is wayyy off then Yours Wendy..

I don't have half the people you do in GTY :confused3

and I have a Pat & Mildred... it is a Trish & Mildred ??

How did I mess up my list so Bad :sad2:
And... Helloemi = Emi and DF = Randy... if you want to update their names..
and.. Ragdoll.. Donna & Hubby... Are they on SS or just with us on our cruise??

I know it's getting crazy! I went thru the lists last weekend to make sure they matched.

Angie asked me to change Pat (Patricia) to Trish.

I added Emi and Randy's names.

I think Ragdoll wanted to be on the master list that Stefanie's doing, but not on the Secret Mickey.

And I believe I changed all the cabins with kids in them to GTY. I think there will be a lot of shuffling around before sailing. So a few weeks prior we can do a final check of the actual cabin numbers.

If you want to we can change your thread to just dining link ups - that's a whole 'nother nightmare, and we can keep track of the Secret Mickey on the blog. It was a lot easier before DCL offered all these discounts! But it will be so much fun with all these DISsers onboard!

Ok I didn't think you had moved because of the 5 people in your room... So Wendy will need to change her list and put you back in your Original room..

Stacy, see my PM.

Thanks Jennifer!! I'm sure come next time I'll be in the "Wench Club" again, but at least this time I get a double pirate: pirate: for a 500 post!! I think that gives me a whole 6 now!!!!

You are correct, Sir! And the blog has been fixed. Again, so sorry about the mistake!

So did I see somewhere that people were wanting to link up dinings?? I don't know, me personally, I would rather eat with people that I "know" from here than strangers, but at the same time I can see pros and cons of each. :lmao:

I think it'd be a lot of fun. The only reason we are not linking is that since this is a family reunion, we wanted to be sure that our 3 cabins are at the same table. Dinnertime may be the only time that all of us are together.

It will be our 2nd Disney cruise and we're so excited! We splurged on a Cat 6 for the veranda - don't have a stateroom assigned yet, just GTY.

We are Mom :tink: DH:surfweb: DS(16) :music: DS(13):music: We live in FL and go to WDW quite often - we LOVE pin trading!

I'm going to look over the posts and try to find some other teens - it will be our first time trying the teen events in the Stack.

:welcome: My nephew, Brandon will be on the cruise. He turned 14 yesterday, and this will be his first Disney cruise.

Check out the link in the bottom of my signature for info on the planned activities. And let us know if you want to signup for the Secret Mickey Exchange.

I haven't but I will.. Thanks.. :coffee:

I'm a Book a Holic as long as it's fun

I usually bring a paperback book or 2 to read when I'm traveling, and then throw it away before I go home. If anyone else has paperbacks/magazines to get rid of, lets pass them around the last night. Then we'll all have something new to read for the trip home!

My travel kit came in the mail today!

Sometimes it's hard to remember that I only booked this one two weeks ago

It is hard to believe you only booked 2 weeks ago - how many posts have we done since then???

You know you're addicted to Dis' when...... you try and leave for a half hour but get too excited because people are still posting and you need to reply before you actually leave....
:rolleyes1

Been there, done that....:rotfl2:

We homeschool too and our children ages 10 and 12 will be with us. We will also be on the May repo cruise with the kids - love the flex I have with homeschooling.

I really wish I could homeschool my DD. By the time I retire from the military, she'll be 15. Do you have any thoughts on whether or not homeschooling is a good idea for teens? Or do you think they are better off at school for the social aspect?

:
We may meet back up with our DVC CM to sign paperwork if we do decide to go that route. Oh well. Seeing the launch would have been neat. Maybe next time? When is the next launch?

I'm sure they can work with you on this. They sent a FedEx envelope with my paperwork. I'll bet you could take the paperwork with you and just send it back in.

Your DVC guide should be able to get them some DVC pins that they can use for trading with CMs also. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the idea Angie. I plan on dropping by to meet our guide when we are at SSR. I'll give him a heads up that pins would be appreciated.:thumbsup2

I saw references to getting credit back from Disney - what is this about? Is it only for the FL residents?

Can anyone tell me if I am on the gift/stocking exchange list?

Krisann - I FORGOT that your hubby is on active duty right now!!! Disney is offering an active duty discount on this cruise! If you booked thru a TA they should've advised you of this. Regardless, call DCL or TA - whoever you booked with and get the discount. They will just need a photocopy of your hubby's ID card. I think you said he's in the reserves right? So you may need to also send a copy of his orders. I believe it's the same as the FL discount. Since he's just coming back from a deployment, you might want to upgrade to a nicer cabin for the same as you're paying for your Cat 10. Or you might be able to get 2 cat 11s - for the same price you are paying for your current cat 10 - so that you and the DH can have more privacy.

I tried to order the Lime Green shirt but it said the ONLY size is 3x :guilty:
I bought a Plain Lime Green Shirt from AC Moore so I will decorate it with some type of Disney design :confused3

Yeah, I've kept checking back, but they've only had the White and Yellow since I booked, so no lime green Disney shirt for me either. I'll just pick up a plain one somewhere and make due :)

Either that or the white Mickey shirts would probably work too:thumbsup2

I've never taken anything prescribed to help me sleep, but it seems like I'm having more and more trouble the older I get. If it crops up again, I'll have no problem asking. DH might just insist.... I get pretty darn grumpy after a few nights of no sleep! ;)

Ambien is wonderful:cloud9: I used to take a whole tablet, but I've found that a 1/2 works just as well at helping me to get to sleep. But I'm not groggy in the morning.

....I just realized I only gave Robby 1 pirate: for the 6500th post rather than 2. :scared1: I am SO SORRY!!

I noticed that but like I said, this is all in good fun so I didn't care!! :thumbsup2 I was just glad to have A pirate for a change!! :lmao: But thanks the same!!! 7 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:    :woohoo:

OMG you sound JUST like Tina!!! :scared1: I don't know how many nights, (probably EVERY) that I fall asleep before she does, just because she can't get comfy and her mind is racing about other things. I don't know what it is but most of the time if I am stressed about something I might have heartburn or be stressed during the day or something like that, but NOTHING gets in the way of my sleep!!! :faint:

On the lime green t shirts...well, it makes more sense now that someone said, wear them on the first day so we recognize each other...phew! Until I "got" that, it was the one thing that was sounding...a little cultish. ;)

Actually I have several lime green shirts now that I browse my closet--ok, I'd say "spring green", but it's just as bright. :goodvibes My favourite is one I got from Disney shopping for my birthday, it was one of their "custom designed" ones, I put Dory on a green t with "Just keep swimming" on it. Dory's my hero. (Sometimes in life, you've gotta just keep swimming...) So I'll be wearing Dory, and dh has acquiesced also seeing as he found a tshirt in the right colour he got from work. Maybe I'll put the logo transfer on the back and see if he notices. :rolleyes1

Now, how many weeks? Lucky 7? And where's that webcam, she should be in port today right?? :woohoo:

No baby sitting for me today, little guy has a fever. Hoping to see him tomorrow, it's his baptism party, I hope he's up for it...The good news is, my house is tidy, in prep for his mama dropping in.

I am a Born & Raised "Joisy Girl" :thumbsup2

I swear I don't have an accent but DH & DS always tease me, they say when I get mad out comes the New Yorker.. I'm still trying to figure out how NY fits into my NJ :confused3

I was born & raised in NC (I was almost 30 when we left) but we have lived so many places in the last 25 years that my "accent" is fairly neutral.

Now let my DW go home to NC for a week and she brings back her family's "Southern Drawl" for several days. Her whole family has a very thick drawl that any character actor would love to be able mimic.
:thumbsup2

:yay: Welcome aboard!

I guess I'm confused. :upsidedow Who are these people??? Are they like scalpers trying to sell you pins for a higher price?? Or are they asking you to buy pins for them?? That's weird.

There are tables outside the pin shop at DTD where people can "trade" pins. Most though are "pro" traders who want as many "good/great/rare" pins as they can get for as few "good/great" pins as they can get by with.

Unless there is a particular rare pin that you "cannot live without" and are willing to trade anything for it then you will not get a good trade.

I'm very excited--we finally decided what to do post-cruise. We aren't flying home until Dec. 20 so we just booked 4 nights on Sanibel, http://sanibelcollection.com/seaside_inn/ Now I can totally skip worrying about finding a beach during our port stops, knowing that we'll only have to walk out the door once we're back on land. Won't be as warm, but hopefully we'll get lots of walking, wading and shelling. (I hate swimming in the ocean anyway!) :cool1:

This happened on our Dec cruise last year. It was scheduled to go on Wed, conditions weren't right so it was delayed and it went up Saturday around 8 pm. The Captain kept us sitting off shore so we could see it. It was AMAZING!!! Brack has some awesome phoots! We were at dinner (second seating) and everyone just ran out onto deck 4 to watch. It was very, very loud also. One of the great experiences of my life! :thumbsup2

Hellloooooooooooooooooooo ALL

No work for me !!! :cool1:

That makes today just sooo much easier...

I really need to get my nails done, they look scary :scared: so Not having to work I can get them done before the Surprise party

My friend has No clue what she will come home to... We are parking around the back of the house *she lives on a corner lot* so she will never even see a single car.. :thumbsup2

and We live around the corner from them so we will just walk

:dance3:

 I know I said I wouldn't be online until next week. But, DS2 is awake for some strange reason. He is wide awake.:yay: Out of the three, he is the only one who wakes up every morning with a smile. :) Right now, he is in the living room watching PBS Sprout and eating chicken. I am suppose to get up in an hour. At this point, I might as well just stay up. It would be worse if I tried to only sleep for one hour. For some reason, that would make me more tired. I can take a cat nap in the car. :cloud9:

- Jennifer

Just like I would be ......

....... he's too excited to sleep; he's going Disney! :lmao:
