I heard from the sailboat charter we have and another couple has inquired about going on the same morning as well. The difference between a private charter and just having to pay for the three of us is $150.

I told the operator to let them know we have a kiddo and if they did not mind, we were all for it. That would put us at five people and I seriously doubt they would get a single to come alone.

I'm watching Headline News right now, and there was a report that the passport rules are back on as of 1 October!!

I checked the State Department website, and it appears this is true. So passports WILL be required for our cruise!

ETA: I did some further research, and sea travel IS January 31, 2008....whew!

Still a good idea though in case of emergencies.

The kids and I got new passports this past summer (Mine expired. Lucky Bill's is still valid). We live in Texas. So, if we drive across the border to Mexico, we now need a passport to come back to the US. Also, we were suppose to take a trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario this past June. But, we didn't go. You also need a passport to cross the border from Canada to the US (via car).

just joining in, can someone fill me in on what I need to know because I know that I can not go through 200 pages. It will be me, my mom, and my twins in 2 cat 12 rooms
