Okay, go have some lunch and I can try and count some sheep. :cloud9: Then again, the kids should be up soon! :dance3: Chaos will start all over again. Have a great day! :goodvibes

Good morning everyone. DH and DD are still in bed. I am getting ready for a two hour conference call.

The Kingdom last night was fantastic! It is another cloudless day here and it is about 13C outside.

I'm watching Headline News right now, and there was a report that the passport rules are back on as of 1 October!!

I checked the State Department website, and it appears this is true. So passports WILL be required for our cruise!

ETA: I did some further research, and sea travel IS January 31, 2008....whew!

Still a good idea though in case of emergencies.

I'm glad that Jennifer and the kids got theirs but man I wish the powers that be would pick a date and stick with it. :(

Good Morning Bill!
I edited above to show that I was wrong. Sea travel is okay until January. But I agree its better to have it just in case. If you miss the ship in St Thomas, you wouldn't be able to fly to St Maarten to catch it. I guess you'd have to charter a boat? :confused3

I have to tell ya; Pooh_Girl and I read this at the same time and I think we both had a heart attack. It was kind of sweet really, I can see the headlines: "RBennett and Pooh_Girl were found early Sunday morning after what appears to be a double heart attack while on what some call, the "Disboards"." We thought that we were going to have to run down to New Orleans and stand in line to get our passports processed. We decided to take a chance and just use our birth certificates because it was really expensive for our passports and we thought we'd put that money towards our vacation expenses. Irresponsible? Maybe. But that just means we'll have to be extra careful when we're down there, that's all.

I also used the Tinker Bell picture to make a sign for WiFamily's wife Cindy's Birthday. I thought Cinderella would be too cliche'.

Awww, how sweet. She doesn't come in this thread very often, and I won't tell her of your plans. It'll be a nice surprise for her.

Thanks :)

OK...cool. :thumbsup2 At least the important stuff like cruises weren't changed. ;)

We just went out and bought a lot of gifts for the exchange. My wife was surprised at how many participants we have. I think we might have to use a whole suitcase just for Secret Mickey gifts ;)

I've had my passport for several years now, but my wife and my parents got theirs this summer. We decided not to get the kids... we'll wait until the next time we're doing international travel with them,,, which might be another 10 years... :)

We figure, if we have passports, and the kids have birth certificates, it might delay a flight home in case of emergency, but they wouldn't outright deny entry.

Oh, and I got an email late Friday night notifying me that the HD LCD TV I ordered is on the way... Should get it by the end of the week.

I wasn't planning on getting an HD TV until everything was fully switched, as I didn't want to have to deal with loving HD channels and not liking the other 90% that aren't in HD. But now that our primary TV is starting to have issues, I had to start looking at new ones. I figured, might as well get HD now, and with my company's partnership with Sharp, I got a great deal on their new models of Aquos.
