We have a couple of Direct Buy Warehouses in our area. Is it worth the membership fee? We plan to re-do our kitchen next fall. It is so hard to get in there and do the tour. Because they only do them during the week. Also, kids are not allowed. So, that makes it even harder.

Kids, Not allowed? Really? Ours has a Playroom and were told Kids are welcomed..
Honestly.. In my opinion.. No, Not if you are only doing a Kitchen.. Unless you are completely gutting down to bare walls.. It is more of a Hassle then anything.. Unless yours is different then ours in Policy..
We did a whole house.. Membership fee is about $6,000 for a 3 year membership.. Then you have an option to renew for another year for $2,000 I think.. I'd have to look at our paperwork..
We bought 5 Mattresses, 6 Boxsprings (our king takes 2), 4 Dressers, 4 nightstands, a Kitchen Table & 4 chairs, a Dinning Table and 8 chairs, 2 bar stools for the Kitchen Island, 2 Couches, 2 Loveseats 1, Chase, a Coffee Table w/ 2 End tables.. 5 headboards, 5 footboards, 5 sets of rails and I think that's it so far.. We spent almost $14,000 for it all..
However, we ordered and Paid for in Full all the furniture on July 24th.. It is now what October 19th and we only received the Mattresses, Boxsprings, 2 couches, 2 sofas, 1 chase, the Coffee Table and Endtables..
Plus.. we weren't told til the pieces started coming in that you have 5 days to pick it up or the charge you $8 per day per box..

When we get the sofa and stuff Wednesday, we will owe them $144 since we couldn't get an earlier flight for a reasonable price..
Oh.. they also Make you decide right there and then if you want the Membership.. They don't want you to go home and Discuss anything with anyone.. You can also ONLY bring your Spouse.. Anyone else you bring in will have to wait in the waiting room..
Then again this is My own personal experience and opinion..
Yes, you can save a bunch of money, aproximately Half the cost, but add in the Membership fees and Hassle and I would of said No...
