How often do you go into the city???

Every couple of weeks for one thing or another. Had a business lunch at Carmine's last week. How often do you go in?

I'm down in South Jersey so it's a bit of hike with traffic and all.

DS waited for the Wii's release like we wait for this cruise!! It came out last November and we would have like to have gotten it for him for XMAS, but he "needed" it at release!! Think it's hard to get one now?! Everyday I checked various website. Amazon had posted info that they would have pre-sales at some point. I got to work one day and jumped on Amazon and 'lo and behold it was there for presale. I couldn't believe it. Made the purchase and he ended up receiving it the day after it's official release. He intended to buy it himself and actually gave me the $250 he had been saving for this purchase. I put it into his 529 account.... Well, the presale on Amazon was over in like 3 minutes. They announced they "accidently" turned it on and some folks were able to complete orders like me. They eventually announced there would be no additional presales. I was unbelievably lucky that morning! Amazon pissed a lot of people off!

It's the only system we have now that gets any use (still have the old XBOX). We like it because Nintendo generally has more family-oriented games, etc.

That is great that Amazon honored the orders already placed! This year there were alot of wrong pricings on items and Amazon canceled the current orders. Did anyone vote in the 6 rounds of items this year? (I forget what they officially call it) I did but didn't get selected for any.

Between 4 and 6 times a year,
Saw Wicked on Broadway and Also saw it at the bushnell
Was equally as good at both places.

Going see Music Man at Bushnell,
City is great, but never a cheap trip for the day.

What a Cutie...:cutie: :cutie:

My oldest DD22 was a soccer fanatic, she started playing when she was 6yrs old. When she was 10 or so she joined a club team and we carted her around the state all year long until she graduated HS....I called those my living in my car years.

I also have an IPOD Nano and love it. I didn't think I would do alot of downloading, but its great being able to select an individual song instead of the entire album. I usually only use it when I go on vacation or trips for work...

I voted on a couple, but didn't get picked for squat!

I coach two club teams already (not sure I handle three!!) so I know what you mean about the car travels!

Well we go in more now with DH and the new job. His home office is based in the city. On Avenue of the America's..... So he gets to go more than we do. But whenever we can we go with him...I would have to say last year only a handfull of times. This year hoping it will be more. Carmine's I have heard it GREAT. Last time we were in the city we went to Tony's NYC.. It was AWESOME.. We are actually going into the city in a few weeks for their Birthday......

My DD really wanted a Wii for Christmas, so in Aug she wrote me up her Christmas list -all Wii items- and then handed it to me and told me I really needed to look into gettting it early. I ended up getting it in August and was really glad I did...My DH and I took the Wii out of its box and filled the Wii box with underwear and socks and had her open that one up first...the look on her face was priceless...I told her that I had waited to long and wasn't able to find it, but we would try and get it for her after Christmas....Since she knows me pretty well (huge planner) she knew it was a joke...it was still pretty funny at the time.

That's great about your oldest DD! I hope my kids find a sport or activity they love!!! I am starting to worry that DS won't find his niche. He's already tried so many different sports. But I haven't given up yet.

Thanks for another recommendation on the Ipod.

Don't worry about your DS, my DD was kind of sorry once she gradutated HS that after all of those years of being soccer crazy that she didn't try a few other sports. My other DD did soccer when she was younger, track in Middle School and Cross Country so far in HS. So anyone that will be running on the ship she will need to do several miles a day since she will be missing Cross Country Camp...

We're actually going to eat there for their 6th Birthday....Feel like we have eaten too many times at American Girl Cafe......

Do you work near the city?????????

If you are in city - try Nintendo World (Rockefeller Center). During the holidays they rec'd a daily shipment and people lined up at 6:00AM - not sure if that has gotten any better or not. I was in Toys R Us last year and they had a stack of Wii's... DS wanted to buy a few and make some $$$ on EBAY, but I wouldn't have wanted to been wandering around NYC carrying those.

Work down in South Jersey, but corporate office is in Newark - just a short PATH ride to NYC.
