thank you Bethipooh4!

My daughter is going to love you. She is a die hard Pooh fanatic. :cheer2:

You are very welcome....

My family has given up all hope on my addiction.... pooh: :tigger:

Ok,

About these bags. They seem to be growing in size. I can think of so many things to put in them, but they would end up being like gift bags from the academy awards. So when everyone keeps saying gotta get more things, how many things are we talking about? Or maybe a price range of these things. I almost bought an Elvis gold car stamped shot glass (to go with my other TN product) but it was $8.95 plus tax (almost 10% in Nashville). Well that Elvis stayed in that building. Am I being cheap or is that a little too high for a shot glass? Give me brutal honesty please.

So far the most expensive thing I have put in the bag has been 6.99.
Everything else has been cheaper. I still have a few more things I want to get(small) and I even made one thing I put in the bag.

But I would have passed on the Elvis shot glass as well.

when i went to boston i found some cute things that were just too much, i tried to op for things that weren't so expensive, but still touristy. i probably should get some red sox stuff still...

Today has been a productive day. My DH suggested that I get a legal pad and start writing everything down that I was thinking of, and that helped..not to mention all the support I have gotten from all of you. :grouphug:

Picked up DS(2) birth certificate and got both his and DD(5) paperwork submitted for passports. Figured, if we get them before we leave great, if not, we'll have them for next time. Hoping DH will have such a good time, he'll want a "next time".

Also, for all my fellow shoppers out there. Macy's is having an unbelievable Fourth of July Sale. I got to go today without the kids  and found a pant suit that was originally $80 and I got it for $15. Woo hoo :cool1: . Like I said, productive day. Yeahhhhh. First one in awhile :cloud9:

Can't wait to meet all of you. It is making the cruise so much more special. Have a fabulous Fourth!!!!

OK, folks as the unofficial "bag lady" I would like to suggest that the intent was dollar store type items....trinkets, key chains, etc....now, I do recognize that this is a cruise and there are NO rules...so....while the recommendation is very low cost items in a traditionally sized brown lunch bag....we are DISers....known for doing things "our" way
Have fun and DON'T worry about the details...

Barb

Thanks for all your input regarding bags. I had very little luck at $1 store with goodies for bag. I did get lots of other things for kids though. I,ve tried target and walmart, not much touristy stuff. I'm going to try a gas station and Cracker Barrel. I think they both should have better prices and touristy things.

Happy and Safe 4th to all.

Oh my goodness....

All I can picture is everyone calling you Barb the bag lady..... :rotfl2:
Sorry....too much caffeine and not enough sleep.... :dance3:

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

I know that we don't know who is getting who's bag.....but I for one LOVE anything from the Cracker Barrel. My family use to go there all the time when we lived in NC or TN. We don't have one in Southern California. :sad2:

I ADORE Cracker Barrel. The closest one to us here in NC is a hour away.

I love road trips, cause we always stop at one.

Does anyone remember where in our thread the bag idea is first discussed? I was going to go back and check the details for decorating and personalizing the bags.

Thanks. :teeth:

Wow....hmmm..maybe page 40 or so???

maybe PM professorandmom(Barb) and ask her since she is the bag lady....lol that cracks me up..... :rotfl2:

Thanks, Bethipooh, our company finally left and I had a chance to look back. The original bag post is #501 (somewhere around page 30). We've come a long way since then. :teeth:

WOW - I am so pleased to be so well titled!
OK, poor roysbrew, can't come up with things from TN - I'll PM you and see if I can help (I have been to Nashville once and will be driving through next weekend (eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk - I am not ready)

Hang in there everyone - this isn't an "assignment" (don't ask what I teach - it is pretty geeky).....when in doubt, fill the bag with candy and everyone will be happy!

Cracker Barrel here we come too. I love to stop there on our road trips. We have gone to Hilton Head several time (love that DVC) and I always make Cracker Barrel a stop.

We leave at 10 pm on Sunday, the 16th. We have never driven to Florida before but with 4 drivers in the family and a new minivan, we are going for it. We can make it to Hilton Head in 10 hours, with a stop for real food. I understand that WDW is only 5 hours from there.

I like the idea that I will not have to worry about the weight of my suitcases for the airlines.

We got our cruise documents Saturday. I have to say they were a disappointment. We went in December 1998 and again in 2000 and the packets you got were really neat. Looked like a suitcase and were filled with forms and cool luggage takes. I don't miss the forms but the luggage tags were a let down.

But who cares, Disney Magic, here we come!! :wizard:

Ok Barb, I have to know....what do you teach???

Joan,
Be sure to wave to me at exit 107 off of I-95 on you way down...I live about 5 miles from there...If we time it right, you can pick me up at the exit. I can always use a few extra days of vacation. I promise to pack light..and you can always use another driver... :rotfl2:

I tried this with PJ53 but she wouldn't stop for me... :moped:

OK, We got home from our weekend at the beach and found our cruise docs. YEAH! I'm beginning to get overwhelmed. We are supposed to go away for the next 2 weekends and we leave on the 21st at 5:30 A.M. When am I ever going to pack? I'm sure to forget something.

Our one request of our boys was to have dinner together every night, so we decided to cancel our 6:30 Palo ressies on Thursday. I don't know if we're allowed to do this but if anyone wants the ressies, let me know.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's back to work I go. See everyone soon, can't wait.

Dee
