Cruise docs there, there, there, over there....but not here. @#$@!

Regarding the meet, last I heard was 3PM before the 4PM lifeboat drill on Saturday. Anyone got any suggestions WHERE??

This weekend we go into full cruise prep mode. Time to finalize lists, buy some decent formal night clothes for the kids, bug spray for Costa Maya, find dress socks, etc., etc.

DBinMV

I'm sorry no docs for you yet....but you are far away..lol
We are in cruise mode this weekend also..shoes for everyone and clothes for me...
Please don't forget dress socks...there is nothing quite like seeing DH walking down the hall in his nice suit and shoes, with white tennis socks on cause his wife forgot dress socks...
Not saying that it was us or anything...

I am stumped on a meeting place....anyone have any suggestions?

Hi all! Just checking in! School is FINALLY over for the year :teacher: (my teaching duties ended last Wednesday, but clean-up, meetings, and a 4 day seminar on teaching writing made it seem like the school year would NEVER end!) Anyway, just checking in to say hello and to try to catch up on all I missed last few weeks. We are staying at POFQ the night before sailing, so are relying on disney transport to get us to ship. So-o-o-o we are not sure what time we will be there. Has a meet been set up and if so, where and when? I hope we can make it if there is, as we need to double-check dining arrangements, "dump "our carry-on luggage, and of course EAT wheas soon as we board (knowing that disney transport is not known for getting us there early)! So hopefully we can make the meet if it is taking place. It has been great anticipating our trip with all our future shipmates from DIS! Can't wait to meet all you wonderful people "in person" pirate: pirate: :sunny: :cool1: !

WB mom2missmous! :)

i hope our cruise doc come today! though if they do come, PJ53 will not be please with me bouncing off the walls, also there is some going on with vmk ;) lots of excitment!

Since the NASA launch sounded like a fun thing to watch and very nDisney, obviously I was up for it. I checked the NASA web site and the launch that was scheduled for July 22 has been slipped to no earlier than July 30. So, we will miss out on this one, unfortunately. BTW, the name of the mission being launched is called STEREO, here's the web site ... stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov if you want to broaden your nDisney horizons :)

Bummer. I had just checked eariler in the week - they must have just slipped it. I was really looking forward to that. I have a friend at Boeing who is quite familiar with the project, I was going to try to get pics for him.

I guess I'll just have to settle for enjoying the cruise. pirate:

of course, maybe we'll be lucky and the shuttle will be delayed from tomorrow to the 22nd.

Thanks for the WB! Meet at 3 huh? Sounds good, providing DCL transport gets us there early enough. We were able to book Palos and such on line, but need to change tea from 3 people to 2 if we can. Also, since we had a horrible experience with tablemates our first cruise, we always request table for just our family now(we aren't anti-social honest! just don't want to chance repeat of that first time) . They will usually honor our request, but not until we repeat it in person at Rockin D LOL:thumbsup2 . So if we get to port around let's say 1:30 ish, hopefully there will be enough time to "take care of business," a quick visit to the buffet (we love savoring those first few moments on the cruise when you get to sit outside , eating good food, and watch the cruise line buses bringing other eager cruisers to the ship  :yay: :yay:) and meet up with you all. Documents??? I would love to see them soon, it makes the cruise seem that much closer, doesn't it? But then as others have said , oh my goodness I have to pack...(See, I told you I had a lot of catching up to do!LOL :rolleyes1)

Welcome back from me too!!!

I actually started going through my closet today and making clothes piles...

I was curious...
Is anyone celebrating a birthday while we are onboard?? Besides Roodoll.... :lmao:

Happy Bday to the little guy! :wave2: No one in our family is celebrating a birthday, but the cruise is my graduation present for completing my
Masters in May :woohoo: . So I guess we are celebrating that! Also our 29th anniversary is the next month...so this made me think ,are there any others in our group who are celebrating an anniversary (or other special occasions) ? Do I remeber reading that someone in our group will be newly- married? Or have I been reading too many different threads on DIS LOL? :bride:

Holy Cow - wonder of all wonders - Docs are now in hand!!!!!
Yup, choked my up then sent me into panic mode all at once!!!

We are leaving the week before the cruise for a stop at my parents' home (in Venice) and then two nights at the Swan.....BUT, I am not ready, nope not even close

Anyway, how about 3:00 on deck 10, just above the goofy pool? On my past cruise the DIS meet location wasn't a good one and I have seen lots of groups use this spot...anyone with a better idea?
I would like to do the bag exchange at that time - I think it breaks the ice BUT this means that we need to bring our lunch bags (or grocery sacks for those overeachievers amoung us) in our day bags

Sound good?

I recall the same thing - I remember telling the person to make sure they use sunscreen. :rotfl2:

My DW and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversary, even though it technically isn't until 4 days after we disembark.

:thumbsup2

Two little white envelopes from Celebration, FL courtsesy of UPS. Our Cat 12s were upgraded to Cat 11s on Deck 5 Aft, just down the hall from the Buena Vista Theater. It came just in time as we are leaving next weekend for out precruise WDW vacation.

TTFN, Steve :sunny:

Happy Bday to your son Heel...

I third the motion for Deck 10... :lmao:

Ok..shhh here is a secret.....my birthday is next week.....(45...YIKES)

So I get to miss celebrating on the cruise. :cake:

Just got our docs!!!!! :cool1: Have to admit...got a little choked up. It made it so real. If ya'll remember me telling you, this is our first vacation in 7 years. DD(5) is getting excited (she has no idea what she's in for :goodvibes ) and DS(2) gets excited whenever he sees anything Mickey or Disney.

We still don't know where we are staying in Orlando. :confused3 We get in on the 19th and then after the cruise we don't fly home until the 1st. Suppose to be staying with a friend, but haven't heard definately yet. Her family is traveling right now :moped: . Hopefully it will all work out.

Finished teaching VBS today, finally getting all of my Dad's furniture out today from his move 2 weeks ago, so tonight is major list making night. :scratchin Hmmm what to bring, where to start.

Since this is our first Disney cruise, I have another question. Is it better to fill out the cruise docs online or the ones that came with the documents? And do I need a birth certificate for each child? Please feel free to offer any advice...even things unrelated that you feel are important for the cruise. :listen:

No docs here yet. I filled out all of the information online. Will I still receive something in the mail? :confused3

Well, only Alyssa got her doc's today! (She's in an ajoining room with my DN & DB) We didn't get our's! :confused3 My DH got me scared when he said maybe they cancelled our reservation when I called and cancelled my DMIL & DFIL's. So I checked, and we're still there! My DMIL is out of the system. So maybe on Monday! I did get my Disney Rewards card today though! Sure will come in handy paying for all those "Drink's of the Day! :drinking1
We're celebrating Alyssa's HS Graduation - this cruise is in place of a party! Keilbasi, pierogi and cake would have been alot cheaper!! But not as much fun as we're going to have! And our Anniversary is a week after we get off the ship!
Can't believe the flooding from the Delaware river! My SIL's little town in PA is underwater -(luckily they're high up on a mountain,) they even showed it on the weather channel - (Shickshinny) - she was worried about her house in Wilkes-Barre that they rent out - the bank told them they don't need flood insurance - luckily the new dikes held! This house was under water during the Agnes flood in '72. They didn't own it back then....Trenton got hit bad as did Phillipsburg, NJ - & Easton, PA - (where the crayola factory is). It's raining again tonight! Think :sunny: !!!

Yes, you will still get doc's in the mail, along with luggage tags, and a Bahamas Immigration arrival card. They also enclosed a check list.

HeelMD - Our DD celebrated her 4th birthday on the Saturday we boarded the DCL. They put a sticker on her back that said her name and that it was her birthday. Every single cast member said Happy Birthday to her and Mickey was walking by us on his way to his post and he stopped and sat down with DD and they talked about her 4th birthday. It was amazing and she absolutely thought it was all just birthday/Disney magic!

We are celebrating our 15th anniversary!

The spot you are talking about is where our other Cruise Meets were and that way no one missed anything on deck!

DD will turn 14 on the cruise. :bday: I was wondering if I should do anything other than mentioning it to our servers? :confused3
