06/08/08 Magic And Mickey To Mexico!!!

I managed to finish up our reservations too.... We're doing a beach day in Maz and the outdoor adventure in PV. I already had all of our Palo stuff booked - just had to add the daughter and her boyfriend and finalize everything.

Definitely interested in the Meet and Greet!!!

Are we doing the same Beach Day?

No little kids here....this time it's just me and my son, who will be 15 right after the cruise, and my oldest daughter and her fiance on their honeymoon. Yeah, bring mom and brother on your honeymoon! ;) We probably won't see much of them.

You raised her right!

She's definitely a Disney fan. Him....we're not too sure....he's never been to Disneyland and never been on a Disney cruise. We're hoping to convert him.
:rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone else get funny looks from people when you tell them you're cruising Disney? Like it's just for kids....:sad2:
Finally, the other night, I ran into a guy who said "Ohhh....Disney....they treat their guests sooo well!" Yay! A man after my own heart!!

He's a Warner Bros. fan... something about some bunny? He'll be a convert by the end of the trip! He doesn't have much to compare it to, since this will be the first time he's been out of the country, and the last vacation he was on was a car trip from Arizona, to Ohio. Whee! I think this is the first time he's flown anywhere for a vacation. To be fair, we're going to spend a day at Six Flags after the cruise.

One of the reasons I fell in love with my husaband is that we share the love for all things Disney!:lovestruc

This may have already been posted but just in case it hasn't been confirmed, Disney Cruise Line told me that the second night at sea would be Formal Night, 5th night (Puerto Vallarta) would be Pirate Night and night 6 would be the semi-formal night. We too made our Palo dinner and brunch reservations and booked the 4X4 Desert Safari Tour in Cabo. The tour got rave reviews from everything I've read and we're not particularly interested in the usual snorkel/beach/shopping touristy type stuff. Have booked private tours in Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

Thanks! Yes, that's what I'd thought. It's basically the same as it is for any of their 7 night cruises....but good to have it confirmed by DCL!!

Just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello to everyone.....less than 90 days until we sail away!!!:cool1:

When you put it that way, panic starts to sink in!! :scared: I think I have everything ready.......for the cruise anyway....there IS still that wedding to be ready for........:scared1:

Hello All!

Just wanted to say hello.

I am GrumpyMom1's DD19.

Looking forward to the cruise! I can't believe how fast its coming....

Hi Krystal. My daughter (Katy) is on the trip and she's 18. She went with us last year on the Med. cruise too and had a ball.

Had to edit my reply to Krystal, when I saw she'd put her age in there. Our teens are younger. Oops. Not quite with it...and can't blame it on Monday, either! :headache:

Did you see this Krystal? Her daughter is taking her along on her honeymoon. Are you going to take me on your honeymoon when you get married?

We have a 15yo too. She doesn't have her own login here but maybe we will get her setup.

I'm sincerely hoping my younger DD wants to go to Tahiti or some place exotic like that and take me!! :rotfl:

:flower3: Sorry I haven't posted in a long while...it seems as if everyone I know is getting sick  this year. All of my kids, DH and me were all sick. DH and one of my twin boys "Kasey" had the flu, Jennah, Macy, and me all got walking pneumonia and the girls also had ear and sinus infections as well. And my other twin "Kaleb" was put in the hospital for two days:scared1: . He somehow contracted a viral infection that went to his heart and then into his bloodstream. They had to have him on Iv's with meds for about 7 hours. He is doing much better now.

On top of me being sick and loosing my voice for a few days I also got called for Jury duty:sad2: . I was selected and have been serving on a big trial for the past two weeks. Hopefully we should be done by next Thursday or Friday. Its funny how they will not let you out of jury duty for anything anymore. I was like "I'm sick and have no one to pick up all my kids from school." The judge was like, 'well you don't have to talk to be on a jury you just have to listen and you will need to find someone to pick up your kids, lack of child care is not an excuse.:snooty: " LOL uggg. So thankfully my dbinlaw who is going on the cruise with us has really stepped  up and been able to help me. He has gone to the school everyday at 3pm and sat with the kids while they do homework and play till I get there around 4:45then he heads back home.

Earl also got sick but is feeling better. He is almost done with the 2 month contract that he got, and has had several calls this week, for two different 1 year contracts and one 1 week contract and one 2 week contract, so hopefully he can do the one week one, while he is finishing up the two month one, and then by the grace of God:angel: he will be offered one of the 1 year contracts... We REALLY need it. We still haven't been paid since before Christmas can you say uuugggg. lol. but we are expecting a check next week, can you say Hooray!!!!:yay: :yay: I have paid 75% of the cruise off and will pay the rest off on Monday. Now just have to :surfweb: book the hotel for the Disneyland stay prior to the cruise. Still haven't decided where we are going to stay, but am leaning towards Embassy suites north.

Well I need to get the kids ready, Jennah is spending the weekend at her bff house, and the boys had the next door neighbor kid spend the night and he is going with us and the kids to see Horton Hears a Who...and to lunch at Golden Corral. :woohoo: Should be a fun afternoon. I hope you all have a great weekend as well. Big :grouphug:

Wow...Rebecca! I'd forgotten what it was like when the kids were little and everyone was sick all at once. I am sooooo sorry!! I hope everyone is 100% now.

My husband and I both have it right now. Mine has turned to bronchial pneumonia. Doctor wanted me in the hospital but I freaked out on him and whined, so I'm at home with a cabinet full of meds. I'm finally feeling a touch better today.
We were supposed to be in Disneyland this weekend, but canceled. Oh well, Mickey will always be there.....and at least we get to go in June!
