06/08/08 Magic And Mickey To Mexico!!!

Cranberry Twp is about 15 minutes north of Pittsburgh and next to a little town called Mars (yes, I am being serious- they even have a little spaceship in the middle of the town).

My husband doesn't even know how to turn a computer on to save his life but my DD does and is really looking forward to going and meeting other teens. This is the first "big" vacation that she hasn't taken a friend so I know she is anxious about having teens to hang out with- she thinks we are "boring" . (Good thing she doesn't really know)

I love little towns like that! They're what make interstate travel fun.

My husband doesn't know how to turn on the computer either. One time he posted on here...under duress.
It's interesting how few couples post together on the Boards. It's almost always just one spouse.

Thanks for the info about your township. I love Pennsylvania, but am mostly familiar with the Stroudsburg area (love those Pocono Mountains!)

Good Morning All!

Getting together with 2 other families for our traditional "Souper" Bowl feast.

John is making Tortilla Soup. yum! Also on the menu if the line isn't too long from the tamale truck - tamales and queso. The Tamale man sits by the side of the road in a food service truck selling homemade tamales and queso. Exactly the kind we usually avoid if it wasn't for a recomendation. Christmastime the lines stretch very long and the wait time this year was about 3 hrs. Not sure what dessert will be.

yes I did love the double dip cruise, and I got to meet verandah man on the cruise too, so it was a good cruise. And I'll let you know when I find out what cruise he booked.

I haven't figured out if we'll go over the same day as the cruise, or if we'll go a day ahead. Most likely, fly in the same day. But there are some hotels near the port...and they have free shuttle to the port. A few of them even provide hotel shuttle from the airport. I'll look them up for you and get back to you on it.
