04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

Why yes I believe i can do that with names too. might be a bit limiting on the length of names I can do. I haven't really played with that one too much.

For those "wondering" which one we are talking about, here it is:

This one takes a bit more work to add names to, so it might take me a bit longer to get back to you if you ask for it personalized.

WOW VERY VERY KEWL!!!!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We're 9A GTY and we were assigned our room quite awhile ago (I think November?). However, I'm guessing that this is because we used our DVC points to book and what I've heard, since we didn't actually use cash for the trip, we're the last to get pixie dust.

As a side note, has everyone received cruise info packages? We haven't received anything in the mail, but I'm wondering if that has to do with us using DVC points as I've heard sometimes the systems get screwed up and we get missed.

Does anyone know if Disney will be offering shuttles to downtown Victoria from the terminal? I believe it's about a mile from downtown to the cruise terminal and usually I'd just walk it, but I'm thinking my pregnant self won't want to be walking quite *that* much! We've been to Victoria before and want to do the Royal BC Museum and some shopping instead of any of Disney excursions (as a side note, the Royal BC Museum really is an awesome museum and worth a visit - but I might be biased since I'm an anthropologist/archaeologist :thumbsup2).

We are 9A on points, too. I got our cabin when I booked, but It was on the first or 2nd day bookings were open. I have only received a letter in the mail, which I actually have misplaced somehow. Have people been getting their docs already? I thought it was maybe just online now, the way RCCL did theirs.

There it is! Thank you! Could I ask for Jim & Tammie when you have time? Thank you so much. I'd like to use that one for a magnet.

We are also booked on DVC points, we have not received anything on this cruise, for the Alaska one, we did receive, quite a while ago, a "Bon Voyage" pamphlet which listed dates we could make spa and excursion reservations.

I am sad to say that we have had a change in plans and won’t be sailing the Repo cruise with all of you. When I saw one of the posts on this thread that mentioned the KSF for the Alaskan cruise, I priced it out and it was roughly the same price to take the Alaskan cruise as it was for the Repo cruise. That combined with the logistics (now all I have to do is drive about an hour or so up to Vancouver and park my car for the week) and the fact that my son’s school came out with dates for his 5th grade campout that coincided with the end of the Repo cruise, we decided to book the Alaskan itinerary. So for all those on the B2B we will take it over for you on May 10th.

Thanks for the warm reception I received from everyone in the thread, especially from Ken and Tammie. I learned a lot from all of you in this thread. I wish everyone Fair Winds and Following Seas on your cruise.

Matthew

Sorry you won't be cruising with us, Matthew! We wish you all the best and enjoy your cruise, too!

Since we never get to the West Coast....we're booked on the LA Repo:

Sanoma Wine Country in San Fran day 3
Walt Museum in San Fran day 4
Trolley Tour in Victoria day 6

Alaska:

Massage for John day 2
Palo Brunch day 3
Scenic Railway in Skagway day 4 at 12:30 thru DCL
Whale Watching in Juneau day 5 non DCL

Hey Deb - we're doing brunch on day 3 also - 10:30 I think.

Thank you so much for the information. It's official, we are booked  This is very exciting since we were on the Panama cruise and brought the Wonder to LA, now we get to complete the journey from LA to our home country (Canada eh!) and then the inaugual Alaska cruise. :cool1:

We are booking a Cat6A, which is what we have on the Alaska portion. We got a guarantee but I am hoping that maybe we will get lucky and have the same cabin so we don't have to move. I should have my confirmation number by this afternoon and will get my excursions booked.

So exciting :yay:

Hi Carol - I'm LisaG over on tagrel :)

Ours is 10:30 too....we should just sit together.:goodvibes

Are you all in suites or what? When 90 days came around I was terribly disappointed to find brunches completely booked. Now I have to rush to the port as early as I canto attempt to get a reservation onboard.

Can I get you to send me a PM with the names please? I have a horrible memory and I use the PM system as a bit of a reminder and tracking system for these things. I HATE missing people's requests so the PM system works the best for me.

Sorry you are canceling out of this cruise, but have a great time on your Alaska one!

Love, love, love it! :yay:

We're both at platinum level so we were able to book at 120 days.

We've always had good luck getting brunch once onboard.

UPDATE: We've received approximately 25 prepaid reservations for our private, deluxe motorcoach transfer from DisneyLand ... DIRECT to San Pedro Port. With this private motorcoach, we will NOT have to go back to the airport, merely to reboard another shuttle to the port. This will save TIME AND MONEY for us all!

Since I need to make a non refundable payment to the bus line approximately one month prior to travel date, I am asking for paid reservations to be received (by me) no later than March 20th through March 27th. Depending on the number of reservations received, we may be able to accept additional reservations AFTER the aforementioned dates, pending availability of space.

Currently, we need another dozen or so passengers in order to make this a financially viable option. Based upon response and private messages, I do not see any issues with this, but would like to avoid the potential onslaught of dozens of last minute reservations.

Payment can be made via personal check (PM for mailing address) at $15 per person. If you prefer to pay via PayPal (PM for PayPal address), the rate is $16 per person (PayPal fees are deducted from incoming payments). Should you have any questions, or plan to make reservations in the next few weeks, please contact us via Private Message.
