When it rains it pours...

Many of you know all of the things surrounding our household these next few weeks.

This morning Joe and I needed to take both cars into work. When I arrived, the phone on my desk was ringing. It was Joe... the PT cruiser wouldn't start! He is now at home waiting for AAA to come and jump or tow it to the local service station.

On the bright side, he could have been calling that there was a real disaster!

We will both be so glad when Joe gets off crutches, and all of the parents make it through their upcoming medical events!!! In the mean time, LIFE goes forward.

Yes, I am waitlisted for a studio at VGC.
I won't get my hopes up, though, have a ressie at Hojo's.

I just booked my flight from Orlando to LAX on the 26th!! Still trying to decide what my body will prefer on the return....either red-eye on the 11th (sleep the 12th, work the 13th) or super early flight on the 12th (get in about 6pm, sleep, work the 13th). Decisions, decisions

For me, going East is easy - it's coming back West that kills me the first 2 days!

Oh, hi everyone. I'm just back from our RCCL Western. It was lots of fun, but RCCL doesn't compare to our DCL experience in 2005. Makes me look forward to the Repo even more! We saw so many cuts in quality and onboard experience that we are hoping the Wonder hasn't gone downhill. I know some of you are consistent DCL cruisers - comments???

I will do a TR on the DIS comparing - I'll let you know when I get it up. I'll need to catch up later, having trouble with my jet lagged brain right now?

Has anyone had personal experiences shipping to the DCL Terminal (Orlando address), for delivery to your DCL stateroom? I know the address, and saw the write-up. I understand you cannot ship alcohol or food ... however ... I thought I heard people saw they have shipped non-perishable foods before. I called the terminal many times - but no response (always got an answering machine).

For my last cruise, I brought a separate carry-on with local (regional retail) "baked treats" ... Philadelphia Tastykakes. They did not travel as well as I had hoped. I was hoping I could ship them to the terminal (assuming DCL will be able to do this for the REPO or Alaska cruises). So, has anyone ever shipped food ... and had it delivered (or refused)? If so ... what was it that was delivered or returned?

I was thinking of trying to send a small box to my Disney Magic server (Ivan Frick) ... to see if they actually get delivered, or refused by DCL.

We are staying at Paradise Pier ... we can walk to the pick-up point. Since everything is so close, perhaps it's likely best to have a single pick-up point, unless there is something I am over-looking.

I am waitlisted for the Villas .. just crossing my fingers!

Our family will be at the Disneyland Hotel, but can make it to a different Disney hotel for pick-up, I suppose. We will have my 5 year old with us, so need a larger bus that won't require a carseat for her (so, not a van). If that messes things up, we'll just do the DCL transport.

I am pricing it out for a large bus.

I would like Disney to release their excursion plans NOW. I'm looking at other companies and may move ahead and book if DCL doesn't come up with information and prices soon.

My family and I (me, DW, DS6, DD4) will be on the Disney Wonder for the repo cruise from LA to Vancouver. We'll be playing in the parks at Disneyland for a few days before and staying at the VGC from April 23 using our DVC points. My parents will also be on the cruise (next door to our cabin) and may be joining us for the days prior to the cruise at Disneyland, but aren't 100% commited to that yet. I've also got them a studio at VGC with our points for these nights which they will likely use, but if they don't, hopefully the cancellation will works it's way to another DISer.

Anyway, we're no strangers to WDW (recent trips in 2005, 2007, & 2008 and I spent a year working at Epcot back in 1997/1998)and DL (Sept 2009 and June 2010) but this will be our first Disney Cruise and the second cruise ever for my wife and I, as we took a Carnival Cruise on our honeymoon back in 2003. We're all excited and our kids have enjoyed watching the DCL promotional DVD many times over. They can't wait to see the "boat with a hotel on it".

We live in the Vancouver area so we'll actually be cuising our way home from LA. We have our flights booked and just need to figure out the most cost effective way to get from LAX to DL. That's just about the last piece of the puzzle. Oh yeah, and paying off the remaining balance of the cruise (minor details).

Well, I'm subscribed to the thread now so I'll do my best to keep up with what's going on here. I've got a WDW trip coming in January to run the marathon so that should give me my Disney fix to keep me going until the April.

Can't wait.

I will work on putting together a Repo FE Roster for my own reference, but would be happy to share! Info for the roster needed would be names, ages (of children), stateroom, and any special events such as anniversaries or birthdays. The last cruise I was on had the roster sorted by deck, which made delivery of the FE gifts easy. I probably won't get to work on this for a few months as I'm sure there will be more folks changing plans between now & then.

We always take the SuperShuttle from the airport to DL, they have a web site and we reserve it on the website (sorry I am not computer literate enough to provide the link, but I am sure you can google it).
