Has anyone heard if Disney will be picking up at DL for this cruise or be adding a DL stay pre-cruise? Sorry haven't read all this thread.

Have not heard a word, or remember hearing, the HI in San Pedro is really KEWL and that is where we may stay. Or maybe a DL stay not sure, yet.

Have not been on the boards all weekend, it was nice out, we got out a bit with dog walks. Scott is enjoying his extended birthday celebration! He has had his birthday cake and presents - he will get another birthday cake on his birthday at WDW! We will get him a birthday button as soon as we get there - he enjoys the extended celebration!

I'm with Scott...extended birthday celebrations are the best...mine has continued all year and will continue until next March when I get to celebrate my "actual" birthday at WDW!!!!!

Don't forget to register your birthday with WDW....Mom had a blast spending her $79 Birthday Gift Card!!!!!!

When I booked, I asked the CM if transportation would be available, and he said yes, we could book Disney transportation from the airport. Last time they did the West Coast, they had pre-cruise hotel stays and transport available, so I'm sure they'll do it again. Why would they miss a chance to steer you toward Disneyland for a few days?

Thanks Tammie. I was wondering if they will do that. We will have to wait and see what hotels they offer (hopefully GC!).

He registered when it was first announced, I have printed out his coupon, and it is packed to go with us!

I'm not sure about the "sleepover in the grand villa", but if we stay at DL rather than the port, we may have a wine and cheese party. But then, if we stay at the port, we could still have a wine and cheese party for those staying there. The room we had last time at the Holiday Inn was the size of a 1 bedroom (without the kitchen facitilies) at a DVC location.

That's good to hear. We plan to fly out the Friday or Saturday before the cruise and stay at DL until time to board. It would be nice if Disney would offer some additional transportation options. I've only been to DL once, but quite enjoyed it. We've gone to DW so many times...it will be fun to try something a bit different.

We just got back from a birthday trip to Disneyland. Spent one night in a DVC studio at the Grand Californian - very nice. So everyone should look forward to the sleep over in Scotts Grand Villa!!!
