04/27/11 DCL's WONDERful LA-VANCOUVER REPO ON THE WAY TO ALAKSA

That makes me curious. Most of the wines in BC (the good ones) are made in the Okanagan. That is about 4hours away from Vancouver. Not sure if there is time for an 8 hour round trip to the Okanagan when we get off the ship.

Any more info on this and I can look into it... where did you hear about it?

From Kaz...or Karen/CustardTart...Kaz where did you learn about it?

We can watch the launch of the Disney Dream live from NY - no not on Saturday Night - but Oct 29th 4:15pm ET at www.disneycruise.com
-have to share my excitement with all my DISbuds!:cool1:

I might take my lunch late that day and watch it. Thanks for sharing!

BC has lots of wineries. Its something to do after cruise, not something to try inbetween the repo and first alaskan.

Good morning. :surfweb: I signed up to get a weekly email notification but nothing yet...so I'm going to try this post to see if it "bumps" it in some way.

Hope everyone is well!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Our snow is nearly gone, and the weekend is supposed to be nice! Yea!!!

Have a great day all!

Good morning Cruisers! :wizard:
Still having record heat here! "Cold front" coming in for the weekend so maybe it will get down to 70 ??

And here in the Pacific Northwest I have said goodbye to the sun. I hope to see it again before April...

Rub it in.....I am already sick of the snow and it isn't even winter yet. Can you believe snow already here in Utah. Some idiots are even skiing already....

however, it is suppose to get up to 70 this weekend!

Hey, it's freaking 41 degrees here in Blue Bell today, so I hope it doesn't get too cool down there! But I understand you wanting a break from the heat. How's 80 degrees? I'd be happy with that! :thumbsup2

Come on down Janis!!!:lmao: Actually the heat doesn't really bother me too much. We just go to the pool. :beach: We're going to escape the "cold front" by heading out on the Wonder to the Bahamas.... :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Hi Everyone!

We are back from WDW. Thanks for cheering us along the 10K Race for the Taste. :cheer2:

DRUMROLL... :rockband: We FINISHED! I couldn't believe it. We were so happy to cross the finish line! :yay: It was great to see Scott and Lynn at the finish line too!!! :thumbsup2

Now, however, I have much difficulty walking, going up and down stairs, etc. UGH! I've never known this much leg pain! LOL! I think my muscles are saying, "Well, what did you expect!" :rotfl2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

I'll get to the PMs soon!

Hi Ken! :wave2: CONGRATS on your Bike Ride!!!

Welcome back, and congrats on finishing! :cheer2:

Thanks! It might be fun for us to do post cruise!

You're welcome. I think I would like to visit a BC winery.

Oh! I'm in Boise right now - we had a cold front last week, now warmer and sunny. Maybe the warmth will head your way!

Oh, thanks for mentioning it.:goodvibes

Oh, my DSIS is up there in Marysville. It seems like it is always chilly and rainy when we go there. I hope you see the sun a little before April!

We had snow a couple of weeks ago in the Mountains near Boise. We chose that day to go "four wheelin'" in our minivan on the back side of the ski lodge mountain. Scarey! Not what we planned to do, but we made it!

Here's PD for the sunshine for you!pixiedust:

Just getting caught up, so I know you posted awhile ago, but I REALLY hope so! How fun! I got goosebumps just thinking about it!

This hope is exactly why I chose the Vancouver repo! It will be the first visits to San Francisco, Victoria, and Vancouver, and I am hoping to see something special like this in all three ports. Unfortunately I cannot spend the extra time or money to continue up to Alaska with some of you; I expect something special for the first visits to Alaska as well.

I did notice with some excitement that we leave Victoria ridiculously early, at 6:30. We should be in Vancouver well before 10:00, so I am hoping for fireworks just like the Magic's first arrival in Barcelona.

We'll be there from the 21st to the 29th. Hoping we can all get together sometime. Have a "Wonder"ful time on your cruise!

We won't be doing Alaska, either. The price is just too high compared to other lines, and we aren't sailing with kids. This trip is actually an afterthought for us - needed to use DVC points, and found just what we needed! It should be a great cruise!:thumbsup2

Well, with guests ashore at 7:30 am in San Fran, it may be too early for any big welcome. And while the ship sails from Victoria after 6:30 pm (last guest aboard), she will not dock in Vancouver until early morning the next day, there isn't any overnight there. It would be nice if there was some sort of welcome, but best not to expect it and thus be surprised if it happens, rather than disappointed if it doesn't.

That's such a food way to look at it. My DH said the same thing. I showed him the QM2 video, and he said, "this won't be the Wonder's maiden voyage. I doubt they do that every time a cruise ship goes by!" But maybe we will get to go under the bridge, and maybe they'll blow the horn, nothing like the horn on a Disney Ship!:thumbsup2

I hope they will do the horn. We have to go under a bridge in Vancouver, too. It is awesome, but I magine it will be too early. However, the B2Bers will be able to enjoy it when they sail away. I have pictures somewhere when I sailed under in 2001.

A LOT of matey's will be in that weekend! Gotta get together!! We'll be back on the 22nd. :thumbsup2
