04/10/2011 Mexican Riviera Cruise

Hi everybody. We got two cabins. We only listed one in the FE. My mother in law is going. She is also interested in doing the FE. If cowgirl1 is never to be found, could she take her spot? She is in the cabin next to us. We have connecting rooms.

Is your mom Theresa? She is listed on the completed FE list. Your cabin has 3 adults and 2 children listed on the final list.

Yes it is. When I first asked to participate in the FE, I really didn't know what it was. So even though we had two cabins, one for us, one for my mother in law, I just put everyone into one cabin for the FE. After reading and finally understanding what it is, I regret not puting her as her own cabin. I know that people do personalized FE, which really wouldn't make a difference if she had her own cabin, but people also do cabin gifts. This is her first ever cruise, and I thought it would be great to collect her own personal memories, and give some out. She would love to participate in this on her own. Since as of now we have a no show in our FE, I thought she could just simply slide into cowgirl1 spot. I probably never would of asked if there was not an open spot. I know this is short notice, but whatever you think would work out best is fine for me. Thank you so much.

It doesn't matter much, since I think it's the same menu for all the restaurants. But I read in my Passporters book that Triton is the fanciest of the restaurants so it's nice to be there for formal night. So, I put my request in for that rotation but I won't be heartbroken if I don't get it.

Yes, that's right; Triton's is the more "fancy" restaurant. And you're right that it's not that critical since the menus are the same. But, I also requested PTTAPTA. For our MR itinarary, it puts you in Tritons for Formal and Semi-Formal (nights 2 and 6), and it also puts you in Parrot Cay for Pirate night, since they switched Pirates to night 5. Parrot Cay is the most tropical/caribbean themed restaurant, so it helps the pirate feel - especially if you're dressed as one! I also like PC for night 1 when I just want a casual-feeling restaurant after going through the boarding process that day.

I don't see it being a problem since she is already included on the list. Whats her cabin number ?
I will just remove her from your room number and add her in place of Cowgirl1.

I'm in a tough spot now though, because my PALO res is for night 4 which is Animators for that rotation, and I want to see the show. Hopefully I'll be able to change my PALO res onboard. :(

Hi - My friends did the Cabo Jeep, snorkel, swim tour with their 5 year old a couple years back and had a lot of fun (he also likes to race cars- so going off roading in a Jeep was especially appealling to the husband!)

Thanks!

I Got my FE and pillowcases today from ebay!!!!!!!!:banana::banana:

Mafpi - I think you ordered from the same person I did... I was wondering did it just show up, or did you get an email it was on it's way to you? My FE is supposed to be here at the end of this week, and I think I have the same stress Mindyjoy does, but mine came in the form of a dream that I got on the ship without having an FE :scared1:

Hoppin62, is it possible to re-post the link to the spreadsheet once you update it with these changes? I am starting to finalize my gifts and want to make sure I don't miss anyone and I am starting to find it harder and harder to find the right post that has the spreadsheet link on it :goodvibes Guess our board is a lot more active now that we are almost to cruise time!:yay:

Mindyjoy - We can touch base with you on the ship at our meetup and if it would work better for us to trade reservations, I will be happy to offer to (we have Palo on Tuesday night at 7:00) I don't know what my dining rotation is, but I wanted to let you know, just in case ;)

That's a nice offer; hopefully something will open up online before then! :thumbsup2

I have a humble suggestion, Hoppin. Maybe post the picture/link of the FE spreadsheet in Post #1, since you authored the first post? That way it won't get lost in the shuffle again. :hippie:

I got mine on the 10th. It took about a month, but well worth the wait.

Also, FYI everyone, if you haven't checked in online yet, I did mine last night and the earliest check-in time available was 12:30pm. :scared1:

Thanks for posting this so I got a reference point. I did on-line check-in about a month ago and the system gave me only one choice - 3:00-3:30!!! I was a little suspicious that it was related to our arrival time at the airport that morning; for some reason, the system thinks it will take us over 4 hours to get to the port!!! I know SoCal traffic can be bad, but come on!!

So I just changed our incoming info to say that we are driving and it allowed me to choose any time slot from 12:30 on. Whew!

Thank you sooo much. I think this would make it even more soecial for her. Her name is Theresa Penate and she will be in the cabin next to us, #2635

Is there a way of knowing ahead of time what your rotation is? I didn't request anything.
