...have been reading this thread for a few days. Getting very excited for Saturday and thought I'd introduce myself. Cruising will be just me and DS (9); I'm a social invalid so not sure that we will make the disboards meet on deck 10; However, if DS hasn't made his required # of cruise buddies by then, we just might show up. Happy packing everyone!

I am so excited I can barely stand it. We bought all of our travel toiletries last night. After work today I am getting my nails done and then we're doing some MAJOR packing tonight. We hope to have it all done this evening as Thursdays are my girls night, and there are pedicures to be had and reality shows to be watched and we definitely don't wanna still be packing on Friday night, so Tonight is pretty much it. I need to finish my door magnets tonight and get them packed before I forget them.

Steve, I just have to know: What is your occupation?

It's kind of hard to describe, but here goes...

automation/metrology/instrumentation/industrial electronics repair for
a large chemical plant.

I spend a lot of time on the computer looking for parts/vendors/manuals/etc....the internet has proven to be invaluable for doing this....the time spent on this board is just "practice" for using the internet.

I don't smoke, so I consider this my "smoke break". There are smokers out here who (it seems) spend all day either coming or going to the "butt hutt"...so I don't feel so bad spending a minute or two surfing the web.

Welcome aboard. We are a friendly bunch as others have said so feel free to pop on by the meet or look for us in the port.


I am going to post our cruisers list later tonight. If you would like to be added to it please give us your info, name, stateroom #, and dining time (early or late). I will add you and your son to the list.

For everyone else I will also try to post the Fish Extender list one more time as well.

Well gang, only days to go before we take over the Magic and I know it will never be the same again.

Surftrish, I'm glad you introduced yourself and DS, the more the merrier! It will just be my DD and I traveling together and hope you will join us at the Dis meet. Most of us only know each other by talking on this meet so when this motley crew finally meets in person there is no telling what might happen and you can't miss that.

I forgot to tell all of you what I found tonight at WalMart. A baseball cap with "Spring Break '08" on it in white with Dis green stiching. I plan on bringing a green Sharpie so all of you can sign it. Can't wait to meet everyone. DD got one that is stitched in orange & is planning to do the same with all the new friends she meets.

Steven, the pictures have had me laughing for 2 nights in a row. Don't use up all of your material before the trip, remember you have 7 days of entertaining to do.

I am in a packing frenzy!!! I feel like I have done 100 loads of laundry to get all the specific items clean that we want. All but the last minute toiletries are packed. I am sooooooooo not gonna be able to accomplish anything tomorrow or Friday!

Can't wait to meet everyone!
