dclwdwlover, Sorry your surprise didn't end up the way you planned. There's nothing on my documents to say which category we're in, how did your mom figure it out? It's nice to see DCL extend that credit to you, but I'm sure you would have been happier seeing the look on your mom's face.

Thanx, Tammi & you're right, I would've liked the surprise MUCH better, but that was nice of DCL to offer us something. They didn't have to.
She realized the cabin # was different on her travel documents & since she had researched so diligently her SPH room, she knew it right away, although I don't think she realizes it's a verandah yet. I'm hoping she'll be so busy the next week (before she gets here) that she won't be able to look at any info about her stateroom, but knowing my mom, she'll find the time. She's already called DCL about it, but I had them put a note in the computer before not to mention anything about the verandah to her. Good thing I did! She's always doing so much for others, we want to do something really special for her.

Melody, we have our flight out of Philly (PHL) for Monday January 3rd on USAir, who are you flying with and when? We fly back to Philly (PHL) on Sunday January 9th.

Neat! We are flying with AirTran. Our flight leaves Tuesday, January 4th at 7am from PHL. We'll be staying the previous night at the Four Points Sheraton by the Airport. We fly home on Saturday leaving MCO at 11:45am.

Hazel just called DCL and our docs were sent out on Thursday, we should have them by this coming Tuesday.

I picked up our documents at the Travel Agents this morning. She said they had arrived late yesterday afternoon.

Sounds like a lot of us will be at the terminal between 10:30 - 11:00. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

Yeah!! Our docs arrived today and am picking them up tonight from the TA. Now I have to get serious about packing. We leave Denver 12/28 with AirTran for 6 days of WDW then onto the ship!! We plan on being at the port around 10:30 too. We're staying at the Radisson, don't know whether to take their shuttle or the rental car. Heading home late on the 8th and back to reality and snow. It will be a nice break but I wouldn't give up my snow and mountains for anything. Hope to meet you all there the first night--if early dinner rotation doesn't interfere.

Well, the surprise is no longer. DH figured it out today. I don't know what possessed him, but he went on the DCL site this afternoon. He was trying to match up the cruise with the dates that I had given him for his work vacation and he figured it out. Oh well, I was 2 out of 3 for surprises. Now that he knows about the extra night, he also wants to know all the fine details. He has me second guessing my decision to go with DCL transfers and I'm looking into a car service. I can't blame him though, when I looked a little more into the transfer, it appears that the first bus doesn't leave the airport until about 10:30am. I was hoping to be at the Port early and my guess is that the bus won't have us there any earlier than 11:30.

I'm still trying to figure out what to do about our flight home. JetBlue has a great $69 fare but it leaves at 10:30am. I know when we cruised in May we were at our Disney resort by 9am after disembarking, but of course DCL recommends nothing earlier than noon time. We may be really pushing it, but the next flight out isn't until 3pm, so we could be sitting around the airport for nearly 6 hours. I need to decide soon. Help!

Hi Tammi. Our flight leaves at 10:50am back to NY. I spoke to my TA and our car service (Southern Elegance) and they told me for sure I would make that flight time. If you miss the 10:30am you could always go stay by on the next flight out -if you want to chance it. Our car service told us they would be there for 8:30am p/u and we would be to the airport by 9:30am. With the children in tow we did not want to hang at the airport for several hours. There is a flight at 11:30am into JFK as well but I think it might be close to full by now.

Long day today- it is going to be an early night in our household.

Thanks Gail, I think I'm going to take a chance and book the 10:30 flight. Southern Elegance is actually who I contacted regarding transfers. I'm just waiting to hear back from Dreams Unlimited on what my options are for cancelling the DCL transfer. I'm hoping they can just apply my payment as an onboard credit.

I don't think so Gail, looks like you will have to wait until Monday at the earliest. Hazel was told that our docs should arrive on Tuesday, as they were just sent out on Friday.

I just woke up from a four hour nap. I hope I can go back to sleep, I feel so wide awake and it's only 1:30am. I've been pushing myself at work trying to get all the meter readings done before the end of the year. I had off Monday and Tuesday this week, but still managed to turn in 6 meter books this week. I've been working through my breaks and lunch the past few days. What we won't do to get ready for a week's vacation!!! I think I will be doing a lot of "resting" on "deck 4" during our cruise!!! I'll be like that man in the DCL commercial, LOL!!!

I'm wondering whether UPS will deliver on Saturdays since it's the C-mas season. We left for a few hours last night & when we came home there were two packages left on our porch that had to be delivered somewhere between 7:30-9:00 pm. I think they're working lots of OT right now. Our documents got here in one day. Of course we live in FL, but it looks like they're delivering very quickly.

Do you mean the cam at twopalms.com? The ships go past that cam between 5:20pm and 5:40pm most sailing dates.
