Have A Safe Trip. See You On Board.

Spoke To Ta Last Night She Informed Me That The Ta Can Now Request The Doc's To Go Directly To You From Dcl. I Called The Doc Department Today At Dcl And They Told Me The Doc's Are Processed But Have Not Gone Out Yet. The Women That I Spoke To Informed Me That I Will Have Them By 12/24. We Do Not Leave Until 12/29.

It Is So Cold Here In Ny. We Are So Looking Forward To Warmer Weather.

We Will Also Arrive At The Terminal Around 11am. We Have To Drop Off The Car Rental First At National And Request A Cab From There To Take Us To The Terminal.

Very excited about this cruise with our two girls (8 and 12). They gave up Christmas presents for this, although I know Santa will be around. Driving from Chicago area on the 30th, with two days at Pop Century and then a day at Cape Canaveral. Worth taking them out of school for an extra week!

Good morning.
We are not driving but we also took DD(who will 8 in March) out of school for a week as well. DS will miss preschool for a week. DD's teacher was not happy that she was missing a week of school. We felt that she was in second grade and it is also important to have quality family time together.
We are staying At Port Orleans on 12/29 and 12/30. Than we are going to our timeshare at Marriott Grand Vista for 4 nights before we cruise. The in laws wil be staying with us for 2 nights at the timeshare and we have close friends who live in Tampa visiting as well at somepoint. We are also meeting up with a family from the 12/18 cruise for dinner on 12/29 at the Brown Derby. We were originally booked on that cruise and canceled in October and booked this one. We are all so psyched to get to warmer weather. I hope is warmer when we go. Have a great day everyone. TTYL-Gail :flower1:

I hope my docs come soon. I can't stand it. We will be at the terminal by 11am as well. I plan to have on something with the DIS lime green. Maybe I can meet some of you then. We have first seating for dinner so I may well miss the actual meet.
Looking forward to being able to do the doc dance very soon. I hope, I hope, I hope.

We're flying in the night before, so I'm hoping to be at the port around 11am also. Tammi
We like to be at port by 10:30/11am if possible. This coming trip our flight gets into MCO at 9:30am if all goes well (this is the first time we will be flying in the day of the cruise and to say I'm nervous would be an understatement!). We have a towncar service picking us up at 10am. We'll want to do a quick grocery stop for bottled water, so we're hoping to get there no later than 11:30. Not my ideal time, but I think it's the best we can do this time.

DH doesn't know about the towncar service -- he thinks we're renting a car! :earseek:

BTW -- I'll have green ribbons somewhere tied to me or my purse so look for me! Check out my webshots album so you get an idea of who I am! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi there. I wish our Doc's would come today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bored:

Have a great day all. Gail

Contacted my TA yesterday, and he e-mailed back saying that our docs were sent out by Disney yesterday. They are going to him, so we should see them next week. Can't wait.

I am so upset with DCL & yet, happy with them, too.

As I've posted before, we are trying to surprise my mom with things about the cruise & something got messed up & now nothing's going to be a surprise anymore.

First, I was told by a CM back in May/June when I added my mom & son to our trip that we had to list her address on her stateroom {potential boarding/immigration problems) & that meant we had to tell her about the trip. Then, I find out from these boards that that isn't so & we can list ours & then change it shortly before cruising. So, we ultimately told her for nothing.

Then, a few weeks ago I changed her address to ours with DCL & we upgrade her stateroom to a Cat. 6 Verandah & plan to surprise her when we board & actually get to the room - & they send the documents to her!! :sad1: I had double-checked with DCL 3x before the docs went out to make sure that they were going to us & they assured me that my addrs was the only address that they had in the system - and still is!!! They can't figure out what happened. I spoke with a manager, too.

Obviously, there's a glitch somewhere, because it just didn't pick my mom's correct address out of thin air & send the docs to her. Her address must be somewhere. I guess I should be lucky she got them & no one else - but it sure does ruin our surprise. Of course, she opened them & called me right away.

Well, the nice part of the whole thing is that DCL called me back & gave us a $100.00 shipboard credit. As they said, they can't change things now, but at least they did something for the "inconvenience".

I have pictures of our Disney Wonder Cruise, Jan 4 - 7, 2001 with Christmas decorations still up in the terminal and also on the ship. So it is possible that there could still be some decorations up, at least when we first board the ship.

No word on our documents yet either.

-- docs yet here in Colorado either. I'm getting very impatient--but know these things take time. We leave in 11 days and counting! The whole family is getting excited, even DH.
--I know WDW takes down decorations Jan.1-2 and I'm sure the cruise will be de-decorated by the 4th, but it would be nice if not!
--il, our kids teachers aren't thrilled about missing 3 days of school either but this is a once in a lifetime trip for us. Our DD high school basketball coach is none too pleased either-she's missing a cross town rival game and DD is her starting point guard. Oh well...!!! Can you say Bahamas?!

-- all that are leaving soon---have a safe trip and we'll see you soon.

We were on the January 5-9, 2003 Wonder cruise and didn't see any decorations whatsoever. :( We can hope, though!

But I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Most likely the decorations will be down by the time we go.

dclwdwlover, Sorry your surprise didn't end up the way you planned. There's nothing on my documents to say which category we're in, how did your mom figure it out? It's nice to see DCL extend that credit to you, but I'm sure you would have been happier seeing the look on your mom's face.

Carlson, I'm in Saugus, just north of Boston and we received our documents on Tuesday. Hopefully yours will be delivered soon.

CRSNDSNY, What part of the world are you flying in from? We're coming down from New England and the weather is always an issue this time of year.

MagicMaker, Massachusetts has a strict school absence policy also. Once they hit high school, it's very hard to take them out. My kids missed 2 days last week for our Disney trip. I told DD's teacher because she's only in the 3rd grade, but for DS, I just called him out sick. He's in high school and I just thought it would be easier on me.

I'm not to concerned about the Christmas decorations being down when we cruise. DH and I went to Disney World last year for the first week of January. The parks were still decorated and they were playing Christmas carols, but I was holiday'ed out. I was sort of glad to see everything come down and get back to normal.

I am so excitied. I found out that our Doc's went out yesterday and it takes 3 business days to receive them by UPS. I hope to have them by Tuesday.

I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania and will be leaving out of Philadelphia's airport. I hope we luck out this year and have clear skies! :flower1:

Melody, we have our flight out of Philly (PHL) for Monday January 3rd on USAir, who are you flying with and when? We fly back to Philly (PHL) on Sunday January 9th.

Boy is it cold tonight. Warm weather hear we all come.
We are flying out of NY-Lagurdia airport on 12/29. Our flight is so early 6:30am. We need to leave the house at 4:45am. We will all need a nap before we meet friends that night for dinner. We move our reservations to Port Orleans-Riverside from the French side as it was $70.00 cheaper for the two nights. I cancelled our Comfort Suites ressies. We are going to go with the flow in Nassau. We will see what the weather will be.
We are expecting snow on Monday. I sure hope they are wrong. DH would move to Florida in a second if I gave the go ahead. I keep telling him when the children finish college we will move to Florida. That is years away!!!! TTYL-Gail :flower1:

Same here, Hazel says she will spend the winters in Florida, but wants to be back in NJ for the summer months. After hearing what Florida went through this past year with hurricanes, I can't say that I don't blame her. Still, I'm ready for the move south, and far enough south where I wouldn't have to worry about seeing another snowflake for the rest of my life!!!
