We have been blessed to stay in a 3 bedroom and a cabin. The 3 bedroom visit had 11 in our party and the cabin had 5 in our party. The intimacy is great in both accommodations. You could easily never leave either place and have everything you need or want. Obviously more entertainment in the cabin with the electric fire, hot tub, and screened in patio. The boats going by and potential firework view from the hot tub is hard to beat. I would not want to be in the cabin if we had more than 6 in the party. There is not enough comfortable seating for more than 6 if you’re in the same space. The 3 bedroom has plenty of comfortable seating/space to move in chairs for a larger party. Have a great trip!

The is most helpful. I truly appreciate your response. I think our best bet will be to make sure we purchase enough points on the end of what would be needed for our family planning with hope of 3 bedroom as I would want our families to have their own space and not have someone having to sleep on a pullout. It might be something needed down the road but we are not at twelve yet. I thought the cabin might be snug for current number we have but it’s nice to enjoy our growing family and trying to plan ahead. Thank you so very much!

Anyone with upcoming trips to CCV?!
We traded out an upcoming trip here for a chance to try the FTW cabins when they opened and the booking was easy. I do admit I'm already missing the lobby decorated for Christmas though! We may have to swing by to see it. We also have a quick trip booked for the spring, although we're thinking about pushing it back to the end of the year. I need to stay on top of updates for the refurb.

I can concur about everything @Transferteck said about the cabin. Nothing beats sitting in the hot tube while the fireworks and electric boat parade are happening; pure Disney magic!

Hi Everyone! New to this board. :) My husband and I just returned from a 7d/6n stay at Wilderness Lodge and fell in love with the resort. So much so that we are considering buying our first DVC contract. Does anyone know if there are plans to update the CCV rooms to more closely resemble the aesthetic of the WL side rooms? Specifically, the crown molding, richer wood tones, the dresser, the cute Chip and Dale wallpaper, illuminated wall feature between the bathroom and main room, etc.? The CCV rooms just seem so plain and basic compared to the WL rooms. Are these things discussed at the annual HOA meetings? Thank you for any insight into future remodel plans you can share!

Latest news here. DVC rooms are refreshed or remodeled on a regular cycle. Should be any time now but we have BLT and AKV also falling about the same time in the regular schedule so who knows exactly when they will start.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I appreciate your helping us with this. Does the second entrance to the villa also have a door off the living room area as well for could not tell from videos. Looks like master and second bedroom share a balcony and third bedroom is on the corner. Sorry to bother you with another question but it does look like an amazing option for our family. With only 7 3 bedroom villas would definitely have to own there I would think. We like being all together in one place rather than spreading everyone out in multiple accommodations. Our family stayed in 3 bedroom at Kidani and loved that as well. Thank you once again.

The second entrance to the villa puts you in right at the door to the master bedroom if I recall correctly. We didn’t make much use of the master balcony so I honestly can’t remember if it’s shared with the bedroom next door.

Here’s a link for the 3D tour of the villa, this was a HUGE help to me when I was planning villa logistics:

Hi! I booked BWV for our December stay, a one bedroom at 11 months, but recently DH mentioned he really wanted to stay at WL this year. Well, two weeks ago, I did waitlist at CC for the four nights, and over the weekend, the waitlist came through. Boy, I was surprised, and happy for DH.

I'm fairly new to the DVC game so it's been very entertaining watching the panic around the new Island Tower's point chart and sales price. It got me wondering what the hype was around Copper Creek when it first went on sale and the point chart released. Does anyone have any background they can provide?

Since we have some skin in the game with Poly being available to us at 7 months I guess I should form my own opinion regarding the point chart but it just makes me so happy we decided on Copper Creek with a much friendlier chart and 2 additional years of points.

Copper Creek’s point chart is almost a duplicate of the BRV (originally the Villas of WL) point chart, so the discussion focused more on why that might be so. And if anything, relief that it didn't continue the pattern of higher and higher points per night.

Congratulations on the waitlist filling!! That will be wonderful to be at the Lodge to see the holiday decor!

Is anyone else keeping up with the possible, but looking more and more likely, resurrection of Reflections? The two resorts would be fairly close. I think if done well, this could be a bonus for Wilderness Lodge. How fun would it be to be able to walk or ride a golf cart back and forth to the different resorts for restaurants and amenities? There's already a dedicated resort to resort bus in addition to the boat service. I heard that they also invited guests from CCV and BRV to the DVC breakfast at Hoop Dee Doo. Not sure if that is that still happening or was it a limited thing though.

I am and it’s one of the reasons I’m not considering the Poly. I already have “enough” points so I need to be selective with my next add-ons 🤣

I really liked the original concept and can’t wait until they officially confirm it’s coming back. It’s a pretty safe bet that at minimum they’ll build a part of it with the permits people have found.

Walt Disney World Receives Permit Clearance for Construction of 10-Story Hotel at Fort Wilderness

Hi Copper Creek fam! Sitting on our balcony this morning, we noticed what looked to be some construction going on in a few rooms on the fourth floor (sorry if the photo isn’t super clear, you can see the balcony doors are sealed off and most furniture removed). I popped up there and there was a noticeable smell of paint but no other signs of work being done. I think this would correlate to rooms 4121, 4123 and 4125. Would we be on the timeline for a test room for the soft goods refurb already?

We check out today for a cruise on the Fantasy so I won’t be able to snoop any further…
