Awww!! This is so cute!!!



We watched it at California Adventure in 2016, but have never done it at Epcot. It was super cute and we always say we're going to go watch while at Epcot, but then we never manage to be over there near a start time. Maybe on the upcoming visit!!

I need to see Turtle Talk at least once. Our tour guide from the FW tour talked it up so much and even gave us a FP for it and we didn’t use it for that, mostly because Andi didn’t want to!

I agree! I can't believe this is a thing. If I'd never been on Soarin' before and the first time was on the end in A or C, I'd think it was a terrible ride and be surprised Disney couldn't have better technology. The distortion makes me motion sick and gives me a headache. Not a fan.

I agree totally, I am not a fan either and the jarring scene change from place to place can cause mild motion sickness for me!

Does a wall have pretty colours? Take a picture in front of it! That's my understanding of how Instagram works anyway. I know people also take pictures in front of the outside of the Mexico pavilion, too, and I think it kind of counts as a "wall of Disney" in that way. The mosaic walls going into the Land also sometimes get some Instagram love.

You are so right, I took a picture of the emotion wall in the Character meet and I could see this as a photo wall! We know about the Emerald in the mosaic wall, don’t we from our FW tour!

This happened to us just about every time we rode Soarin this time. The CM called for a party of 3 and we would get B center just about every time, though I don't notice the distortion too bad.

You are lucky the distortion doesn’t bother you!

Yes, their line was very long when my family met them too, but they are a nice meet. I didn't notice the line calm down much at all.

I don't think anyone is saying the photo boxes are a good idea. I actually emailed guest services to voice my displeasure. The reply I got was: they are making this change at 9 character locations to "enhance the guest experience and provide more photo options from which to choose". Erm..sorry, how is replacing a person with a box enhancing my experience or giving me any more options? There are some things Disney has done that I can shrug off. This one really bothers me.

I know! It really bothers me as well! Part of the Disney philosophy is making the guest feel so special and magical, how is a box going to do that for pictures, really a bad move! Photo Pass is such a great thing and the CM’s who take the pictures are one of the reasons it is a huge success! The money Disney makes from this alone can pay to keep CM’s in all places!

It's cute. Not something I would go out of my way for, and we skipped it this past trip, but fun if you're already there and don't have too long to wait.

I only recently found out there was such a thing as an Instagram wall. I guess that's why my social media is limited to Facebook. I will probably keep it that way.

I thought Andi was joking when she told me about the purple wall the first time, lol!

The flexibility to get a kids meal is another thing I missed due to having the QS dining plan. Most of those meals are fine if you want a lighter meal

Free dining has its perks and can be appealing. It just doesn’t work for us, we find the resort discount is better for us, as you can see from my Dining totals, most days we stay under $100.00. We do always eat what we want so it works for us.

This was on my list but I never did get around to it. I have read good things about it. It does seem very refreshing on a hot day.

Katgori shaved ice is delicious and very refreshing for those super hot days!

Our plan was to visit Joy and Sadness and Baymax first. The line was not to bad for Joy and Sadness but it took forever! I like that the characters spend time with each guest except it does make for a long wait! I am just going to say they are both so cute and nice!

We went to visit Nemo and friends next, this was a walk on! Spent a little time visiting with the manatees and aquarium residents. I still have not done Turtle Talk with Crush! Andi always vetoes it. I plan on doing this in May without her there, any takers from the girls out there?? I hope so!

I love the Seas pavilion! The boys are always loved it there, especially my Jack as he has such a love for manatees.

It was boiling hot again, full sun and more humid today! We went in the store and bought some Japanese candy. The peppermints here are so good! Jack and Andi like the fruit gummies so we picked up a few favorites and headed out.

Japanese candy is a must for my three too!

We decided to try the Katgori at the outside stand in Japan. We both got Rainbow flavored and I had the sweet milk on mine. Oh my goodness, why haven’t we tried this before? It was very delicious and actually cooled us down on our walk towards FW. I highly recommend Katsura Grill and the Katgori for dessert!

So yummy! Bill and I ate there one night when the boys went to Liberty Inn and we really enjoyed our meals too!

Boo to you and you and you, it’s not so scary! Time to update on our Halloween Party experience! This was a last minute decision made the day before so please forgive me and my lack of Halloween attire!

Andi and I had a lovely afternoon chilling in our room. We cooled off nicely and had a little rest. Please don’t judge, I decided to keep my pink Sleeping Beauty shirt on!
It is a really comfortable shirt and very thin for the boiling hot weather! I promise I did smell good and it was okay people! Andi put on her HM shirt which has the lines from the shrinking room.

We arrived at MK around 5pm, we checked in and received our wristbands and headed to the right of Mainstreet to get our candy bags and first treats. This area was busy and we didn’t stay long enough to get any picture opps, just grabbed our candy and headed into the park. I had made a FP+ for Pirates and this was our destination. We had a fun ride as usual. We will be back later to check out the “special Halloween edition”

Next up was Storybook circus area to check out the party merchandise. They had some cute Hocus Pocus shirts. Andi has so many special pins and we checked the new ones out, she decided to pass on any this trip.

We went out to the Silly Pete area, the 7 Dwarves were meeting inside this area and a Disney jr. dance party was setting up in the outside area. This was different from last year. The wait for the Dwarves was over 1 hour per the CM and “short wait Andi”, said no way, okay Andi, since you apparently make all the decisions, haha! Actually I didn’t feel like waiting either so off we went.

We decided to head into Tomorrow Land and get in line for Lotso, it was about 6:20 and we were probably 5th in line so not bad. The line was at the exit area of the Buzz ride. It was hot and there was no where to really sit. I went and sat for a little bit across the way and Andi stayed in line. The line was directly in the hot sun, I used my little fan many times! We watched the CMs set up the meet and greet for Lotso.
This was the first party of the season and we saw many captains and official looking CMs at this party. We waited about 40 minutes to see Lotso and it was worth it. He was so soft and smelled yummy! We enjoyed this meet and felt the wait was worth it.

We knew from previous parties to wait and Trick or Treat a little later. We headed out of Tomorrow Land and had some pictures on the bridge. The CM was so sweet and she says “who are you two suppose to be?, pink and purple” Sure sounds good to us!

We decided to head to CHH for some dinner. It was quiet in here and we shared the Trio Platter. This was shrimp, chicken, hush puppies, fish with fries. Andi headed upstairs to find us a spot and gather all the condiments we needed. This was a good decision to eat here. The upstairs was “dead”, food was yummy, air conditioning, and a great view of the HM.

We got to see the lady ghost Carlotta with a HM butler out on the HM lawn. Spoiler, *this is as close as we got to them and the HM, unfortunately*.

We were feeling full and sufficiently cooled so it was time to head back out. The HM area was mobbed, way more crowded than a regular day. We tried to get a little closer to see the CMs in there Halloween makeup and it was so busy. I think the wait time for HM stayed at 20 minutes or more the whole party. First party of the season troubles!

What a great - albeit HOT! - start to the party! I've always wanted to do this, but the times I've been during the Halloween season have been solo and I feel like you really need a buddy to have the most fun. Someday...

For as crowded as this area was, we saw a photo spot and it was not busy at all. This was close to the river before the HM standby line started. This was a magic shot with the hatbox ghost. This was a cool picture and one which was new.

We decided to move on and check to see if the gravediggers were out for a picture opportunity. I had read on here that you could meet them. Thanks Dis, another thing we would have remained clueless about! We did find the gravediggers, they were also along the river between HM and Frontier Land. What a great meet. These characters were so fun. They were really into their role!
It was so hot and these gravediggers were sweating up a storm! Despite their deathly pallor, they were so hot! Temperature wise not smokin!

We headed over to Pirates area again, it was really busy so we decided to wait until later. We headed into Fantasy Land to check out the teacups. There was special music and smoke during the ride to make it a little spooky. This was fun and cute. We didn’t have to wait to long for our spinning ride! I don’t let Andi spin it much then I can enjoy it.

We saw a photo spot at the front of the teacups and it was a new magic shot for us! It is a scary pumpkin. We did see the Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter meeting here as well. We didn’t stay for that, the line was long.

We decided to head into Tomorrow Land, we needed some ice water and a little break from the heat. We trick or treated some now, lines had died down some. We did the PM to check out the music in Space. Space was total black out with different music for the party, it sounded cool, we couldn’t see a thing!

Buzz was a walk on now so we did this and more candy lines. The candy line in the Monsters Inc laugh floor was a mile long!

It was around 9pm and Stitch’s line did not look to bad so we went for it. Thank goodness the majority of the wait was inside with air conditioning yay!We waited about 25 minutes to meet Elvis Stitch, rock on! He was so nice and a fun meet. A plus this year was after some meets and attractions you got candy!

I’m not going to sugar coat anything, it was so hot and crowded at this party. We were doing okay because it was our 5th party and we wanted to do new things to us and we never even went near the hub area. This area was just mobbed I guess from reading some other reviews!
