The 2 PM map with the path models don't show any development toward the Florida coast. Yes it can change in the next 7 days but the computer models don't favor this happening.I can't even believe this is happening!Between the shutdown and the airlines, now this, I'm already over this trip and we haven't even left yet!

The threat for Florida depends a lot on how quickly the storm makes the turn to the northeast. The longer it heads west, the more likely it could be close enough to affect south Florida. Local news at 6pm was still saying it won’t affect central Florida, but they were very serious and no longer smiling and confident. Made me wonder what they know that we don’t. Most of the computer models I watch are showing it going over some part of Cuba. It means keeping a close eye on it for the next week or so for sure.

Jamaica, Haiti and DR are expected to get torrential rains as it stalls out and sits there for days.
Still seeing no threats to Florida watching local weather.
