Here now and our party is tonight. Yay! It’s looking cloudy though. How do we find out if the party is indoors? @FastPasser. is there somewhere we can check? How far ahead do they make that call? Thanks!

Realistically can I just wait until mid June to book a date and it will still be there.

Memorial Day week is still available. This Sunday is available, but the other dates are booked.

Booked August 22 for my family. We did the HEA and Star Wars parties last year. Thought the SW party was a much nicer event. The fact that alcohol was included helped. Plus the savory offerings were a nice addition as well. Hoping for the same vibe from FEA.

On our way back to our resort after our party. Due to weather, our party was indoors which was disappointing but it was still a great night. The cast members all worked so hard to make sure everyone had a good time and the event ran very smoothly. The food and drinks were great, we really liked the ‘Snow vision’ glasses for Illuminations and riding FEA with no wait was awesome! Overall a really fun night and I’d definitely recommend it!

It's not whether or not it will rain at 9 pm, it's whether or not it will rain during the setup for the party which is late afternoon, early evening. Because of that, they have to gamble on making the call between 5 and 6pm. Many times they'll decide to move it indoors and it doesn't rain. But I can assure you that it does rain late afternoon, early evening on a good number of days during the summer.

Just booked a party of six for June 21st, the date we were hoping for! We're bringing my niece for her first Disney trip, and I'm certain this will be the perfect way to end our park days.

They will often start the party 10 to 15 minutes before the advertised start, so no need to check in any earlier than that.

Is it normal not to be able to see the open dates past Aug 31 at this point? HEA is open through September but what I'm wondering about is that with HEA I can see the available dates for months ahead even though they can't be booked at this point. Yes, I'm going with the rumor that Illuminations is ending and trying to guess when the last show will be. It's my favorite show ever and I plan on a quick trip to see the last one and of course want to avoid the masses and get the dessert buffet. Anyone care to make wild guesses with me?

Good point, and it does happen. As soon as you think that might be the case, ask to speak to a leader and they will make every attempt to seat you elsewhere. If there isn't an alternate table, politely request a refund.

I am sorry this happened to you. Although I was seated with my family I wouldn't have minded if we had strangers sitting at our table. We had some positive upbeat interaction with strangers at the next table. Why were they so unhappy?

It's clearly stated on the website and callers are supposed to be told when they make the rez. I don't know if that happens automatically though. If the phone CM doesn't voluntarily read the party spiel, it should be requested that they do.

Disney expects Guests to be aware of what they're buying and it's extremely rare that the "I didn't know" excuse will result in a refund.

A similar situation occurs at the SW party. Some guests become upset when they find out that there isn't any seating.

FastPasser I have a question, if we go with a party of 7 or 9, will the tables be next to each other or do they seat everyone together? Not concerned with if they seat other people with us, I can either talk to them, ignore them, whichever they want. LOL.
