Dang...I am really slipping in the points game...I say Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and lunch at Pecos Bills.

While we were in line the nice couple behind us gave Little Miss a cute little dinosaur that was great for keeping her entertained in line throughout our morning. Such a small little gesture but it meant a lot to Little Miss. The wait wasn’t terrible and soon we were off on our cruise.

That was very nice of them.

Afterwards we went to ride the Magic Carpets. DH and I forgot about the camel that spits on you while you ride and we ended up getting hit with water a few times. The first time was quite the surprise.

How could you forget this detail?

So instead we decided to get some Dole Whips and go see the Tiki Room Show to cool down a bit.

Not a bad alternative at all.

From there we headed into Frontierland for a meet and greet with Chip and Dale.

I swear I say this every time you meet a character but those are some really good pictures! I love how she just always seems so excited to meet all of them!

I just adored the photos of Little Miss with Chip and Dale. Amazing interaction. The best one I think is when Little Miss is leaned back and grinning really big. I think she has her finger pointing at the chipmunk. It looks like she was being tickled.

We had never ridden it before. I knew the camel at the front of the ride spit I just never picked up on the fact that the one that faces the ride does as well.

I just spent half the day reading you TR. I love Figment too!! It sounds like you guys had a wonderful trip even with the bus issues. We had some bus issues with MK when we stayed at CSR. Almost the same as your first bus issues where we just missed a stuffed bus and then waited forever for another one and it never came so we hopped on an Epcot on and went to MK that way. Perks of knowing your way around.

We have found too that with the kids being older now we can hit all four parks in one day (we do it often on our last day, since our plane doesn't leave until late). But when they were little it was not possible.

Our first stop was going to be to Jasmine and Aladdin

I thought they were only in Epcot.

Instead, we just kept moving along and hopped over to Jungle Cruise which had just come off of referb. It looked great.

Welcome! Though the hopping around and taking different routes takes up time as well.

Tomorrowland Fun (5/13/15 Part 6)




After a wonderful Meet and Greet with Chip and Dale we made our way over to Tomorrowland for our First FP of the day.


Soon we were battling Zurg. We put Little Miss between us and let her control the spinner. She had BIG fun with that and I ended up closing my eyes a few times because of it. I thought I had a picture of the scores but I can tell you now, I don’t need one. DH creamed me.

After our spin on Buzz Lightyear we of course HAD to take a spin on the Peoplemover!

While we were on it we saw that Stitch was just starting to meet and had an empty line. He must have heard DH and I tell Little Miss because he looked up to us and waved and blew Little Miss a kiss. After we got off we hurried over there to see if we could still catch him but his line was closed so we made note of the time to come back tomorrow and try again.


After our spin on the Peoplemover we had another FP for the Mine Train Scheduled but DH and I both felt that we weren’t up for cramming ourselves into those tiny cars again. As fun as it is the cars are too small for our long legs for that ride to be comfortable. Instead I hopped on MDE and switched them for Winnie the Pooh FPs. This was the first time for either of us on this ride so we didn’t get any pictures. We all had fun on the ride and soon found ourselves hungry. With Pinocchio Village Haus nearby that’s where we ended up eating. It was insanely crowded. I got one of the blue raspberry slushes and ended up regretting it. While it was nice and cold the flavor was too artificially sweet.


From there we had a FP scheduled for Rapunzel and Cinderella but with our exhaustion levels and the fact that we had already seen them we decided to just skip it and head out for our rest. On our way out we spotted a PhotoPass spot and stopped for Pictures.

We got down to the stop and when I looked in the stroller I found that Little Miss had fallen asleep.

We got back to the resort and DH went to the front desk to talk with a manager about the bus situation from the morning and Little Miss and I headed to the room.


The Manager explained that the tracking for the buses only tracks whether a bus gets sent to POR not whether it makes it to all of the depots. When the bus gets full and skips the south depot the bus drivers don’t call in that they had to skip a stop and they don’t send another bus to finish the route. So in good faith for us the manager gave us Taxi vouchers to Magic Kingdom for every trip there we planned on going. DH forgot about our nap so only got enough for one round trip. While it was nice of them to do that and solved our issues for the short term it certainly didn’t put faith in them fixing the issue in the long term. Also with the RFID technology present in the magic bands there really is no excuse for this to be an issue. It left DH and I seriously considering if it was worth it to stay on property when one of the biggest perks to do can’t be trusted for its reliability. And while we love POR as a resort this issue made us doubt whether we would ever want to bother staying there again.


While back in the room, I let Little Miss play a little until DH came back and soon snatched up my phone to capture the following sweetness on video

When we stayed there, it was during spring break.
(They closed MK at least once for reaching capacity.)

I'm glad your husband got the truth regarding the bus situation at POR. We stayed there in 2010 and found the transportation to be nightmarish. In 2013, we stayed at POFQ and learned that they were the first stop for all of Port Orleans. We never had a single issue. Our two stays at ASM did not bring the difficulties that we had at POR. Bottom line for us is that we'll never stay at POR again. It's a lovely place, but I don't understand why some people are so defensive of it. I have a coworker who doesn't understand why I don't adore POR like she does.

I'll guess you headed to Epcot for the evening and Little Miss did not enjoy Illuminations.

Well, I say after your nap you'll head to Epcot. As for Little Miss showing her Odd Ball ways..hmmm, is the "ball" referring to spaceship earth? Does she do something funny in there? LOL Maybe she makes a face into the camera!

Sorry about the bus issues. Sometimes it really gets to me too. But I say overall it is worth it to stay on property. That was nice they gave you the vouchers though. Hopefully from now until the end of your trip it is smooth sailing!

I'm glad you finally rode it! Must have been all that talk of "hunny" that made you hungry.

This really is a crappy excuse. I mean really??? It counts as a bus having been there even if it doesn't make it to all stops? I doubt we'll be using the bus much anyway, but I appreciate you sharing this info before we get there. I'll definitely take it into account.
