After reading your post, I went and checked on our Cat 8D. There aren't any left, but the Cat 8C's are going for almost double what we booked for. When I mentioned that to DH, his comment was "Thank God that you're obsessed and book on the 1st day!"
I didn't book immediately, but the price for our cat. 8C has gone up by about $2600.That would be me too. I booked the second they opened up and am thrilled that I did. It would definitely impact our ability to take 2 cruises next year
Wouldn't be able to (or want to) afford my stateroom now.
We were lucky enough to have this happen to us last August, and it was a complete surprise - I never thought that it would happen on a summer cruise, and a double dip no less. One can always dream.............
For 2 people, the available categories are 8C, 4, 5, 6, and V. And we're still a year out!
DCL Florida 
Our kids were in the 9-11 group. My DH and I thought the facility was less than DCL (very small room, etc), but the kids loved it and the counselors and that's all that really matters! I did think the youth staff was great. Our CD was Graham Seymour. He was hilarious!
This made me curious, so I just checked availability. For a family of 4, there are only Cat 4s and Cat V's left, with the 4D's starting at $11,198!!

OMG You saved more than half! How big is that FL discount, anyway? The SoCal discount is 25%, so it beats my 10% rebooking fee that I'm still holding onto. I booked for Thanksgiving week, so it's quite a bit higher, but we won't have to take time off of school or work. I think Thanksgiving on the ship will be like Easter was. Both are Cabo days, with nothing special happening for Easter, beyond some giant chocolate Easter eggs.Our August double dip on the Wonder last year was originally $4900 for 2A 1C in Cat 7A (secret verandah cabin). We paid in full, then well in advance, like April or May, we get a $2600 credit back on our Disney Visa!! We were shocked on the savings. Our TA just applied the FL resident rate code, and bam! HUGE savings.
$475 takes care of all of our tips, Palo, and an excursion!!!!

My brother and I are 7 years apart, so no big deal to me, and my DH is an only child.......... Our 1st choice would be something in the summer that leaves out of Port Canaveral. I am not going to return to Nassau, and by then, we will have done the both the Eastern & Western caribbean cruises twice. Or, we could do 1 bigger vacation and go to Alaska via the Port of Seattle on DCL and visit Seattle, too. That would cost a ton more because we'd have to pay airfare, hotel, and breakdown to get passports, too. We are also interested in those Pacific Coast cruises, too. I'd love to visit Hawaii, but DCL doesn't spend nearly enough time at the islands to warrant the cost of that cruise, plus, it's during school.If I only had an indispensable income..............I could have children & lots of vacations
(plus having my mortgage paid off would also be nice
