Believe me, not trying to pressure you... you just give a good opening for me to be a smart alec (sp?) in response :rolleyes1 (sometimes a down point for me) :flower3:

Oh, you are just fine - I am a HUGE smart alec as well :upsidedow

The door isn't closed for another child (DD asks for a sister pretty much every day), it's just not open yet ;)

Now cruising DCL, that door is WIDE open!! :teeth:

:rotfl: No second child! :rotfl:

Don't want the added cruise fair :lmao:

Now if I had met you guys before and talked me out of this whole 3rd child thing!!!!! :rotfl: Don't tell my wife I said that :rolleyes1

I tell you it does pigeon hole you into a certain category that we may not have wanted, but hey, it's not like we are going on a Disney Cruise every year or anything. (Until we get our next tax return back hee hee) We are already outnumbered now...I think we're doomed :)

The only thing I can think of we won't be doing next year because of the cruise, going home in the summer to a Twins game. (That'll be 2 years in a row, not sure if I can stick to that!!!)

DH has a theory about the "middle child" syndrome :rotfl: Yet, to some degree, it is true based on our personal knowledge and experience. He is from a family of 3 ;)

Yes, that is true... seems all hotels and such are for four and under unless you move up to the bigger category. Yet, children are so irreplaceable (most of the time :rotfl:) :cloud9:

Go Home and stay w/ family and get the cheap seats.... besides, if you take the kids, if they sit on your lap, I think it is FREE, Plus, you can bring your own food and WATER (up to 22 or 32 oz sizes) into the game as long as it's in a backpack or something. We did that! Saves $$ Or, just leave the kids w/ family and have a date day  w/ DW. Two years is a long time to go without...

My husband and son went back home to MN last year so my son could go to hockey camp at the U of M. They went to a Twins came while there and they said the new stadium is FABULOUS and they can't wait to go back. But the cruise is cutting into that plan next year.

Where in MN is "home"? The new stadium IS FABULOUS and soooo beautiful! And the food choices... YUUUUMMMMYYYY!! It's like having a mini MN State Fair there :thumbsup2

Wow... sounds like a few MN people on the cruise... if you ever come up to the Twin Cities area, we should try to meet up before the cruise! Anytime in the next year!

I'm originally from St. Paul, my DH is from Mpls (and yes, we actually speak :) ). When we got married we lived in Edina and before we moved out of the state we lived in Woodbury.

I'm a Nordeast MPLS girl... it's okay to cross the river ;) I married an Iron Ranger :scared1:

I just booked our 2013 cruise. We're going on the Allure! We decided that after trying Disney's latest and greatest ship with all of you, that we should try RCCL's latest and greatest. DH and I are going to be in an Oceanview Balcony and the DD's are very excited that I've booked them in a Boardwalk Balcony right across the hall from us. While the ship may be uber-cool, I know that the people won't be nearly as wonderful as sailing with all of you on the Fantasy!

Hope you don't mind me asking, but what kind of price did you get for those rooms?(Curious minds want to know) Pretty sure it is not within my budget.

For 2 in an oceanview balcony (D7) it was $3,107.30 and for 2 in a Boardwalk Balcony (B2) it was $2,947.30, for a total of $6,054.60. It was $500 less to book us into a D8 OV Balcony with an N Inside across the hall, but the thought of a Boardwalk Balcony just 5 staterooms back from the Aquatheater was too much to pass up.

Just as an FYI, it was the about the same price to put the 4 of us in a OV Balcony as it was to split us up 2 in a OV Balcony and 2 in an inside. The 2012 prices for Allure are higher than the 2013 prices - this same sailing in 2012 with comparable cabins would have cost $1,000 more. :scared1:

2013 sailings for the Oasis and Allure are available to book through September 2013! I booked through CruCon www.crucon.com. They're having a sale right now through tomorrow. Per cabin, we received $100 OBC, prepaid gratuities, and dinner for 2 in a specialty restaurant. Plus, the deposit was only $250 pp (1/2 off).

Oh, I have looked @ that ship before... we were going to do that w/ neighbors. I would have loved the Central Park area... very coool! :cool1:

I plan to use Central Park when I need to walk the length of the ship. We're going to be on deck 10, so it will be easy to pop down to Central Park on deck 8, rather than walking down endless hallways of staterooms. :thumbsup2

Okay.... my duh-huh moment that a few know about (trying to request on FB)... Found the obvious button to click... just didn't scroll my page over far enough to see it ... :lmao: :rolleyes1

Except I may only go on there every few months... not a huge FB user, just so no one takes it as me being rude. :)

Now, is RCCL like Disney in that the cruises get more expensive the closer it gets??? Also, how do you kids like it compared to Disney?? Considering a 2013 RCCL cruise just to get a different route

That's my guess Steve. Plus, the Allure was a new ship in 2010 so I believe that there has been premium pricing involved, just like on the Dream and Fantasy. We've been on 1 previous RCCL cruise to the Med in 2010 on the Brilliance. The girls liked it, except for the saltwater pool. They thought that the kids club wasn't quite as good on RCCL as Disney, but we were in Europe with a lot less kids on the ship, too. I thought that RCCL's adult pool was hands-down better than Disney. The service was very good on RCCL, much better than I had expected. We did miss the Rotational Dining. You just can't beat Disney's themed dining rooms. Plus, it keeps things interesting to move around each night to a different restaurant.

We watched a show about the building of the Oasis last week, which perked up everyone's interest. I showed the girls lots of pictures of the Allure and they are very excited about all the different things on the ship - the Promenade, Central Park, Boardwalk, Aquatheater, Cupcake Shop, Johnny Rockets, ice skating, climbing wall, mini golf, flowrider, ziplining. Plus, the Allure has the Dreamworks characters. I'm looking forward to Starbucks and Tom is thrilled that there is a separate sports pool where he can swim laps in the morning.

Shari and I did 2 RCCL cruise before the kids came along and we enjoyed them a lot. Now that we have been spoiled by DCL I am affraid that I might be disapointed lol :rotfl2: Ethan and Lauren would enjoy seeing the Sheck characters I am sure. You will have to be sure to let me know what your family thinks of it when you get back!
