Formal night is on Monday night (after a relaxing day at sea).
Pirate night is on Wednesday night (after the day in Cozumel).
Semi-Formal night is on Thursday night (after our other relaxing day at sea).

We booked Palo on Tuesday night.

Hope this helps. Obviously I don't have enough to do at work today. :rotfl2:

OH GOSH YES. A group of us even went to far as to wear Tiaras. I had a little girl in the elevator say "Are you a princess too" to which I replied "Only for tonight".

Why not go all out? I know that we hardly ever have a reason to really dress up anymore so we go formal with tiara and tux. DH has a mickey mouse bow tie and vest and I do my best to match it. Its a pain to pack and wear but its SO MUCH FUN to get dressed up and go to dinner.

Good point. Speaking of "princess," I went to a local charity function this past Sat night donning a 50's poodle skirt/outfit. My DS said "Mommy, you're a princess!" :lmao: Made my whole night.

Just curious - is everyone actually wearing formal formals? I was just thinking cocktail dresses for me & dress shirt & coat for DH. :confused3

We are! I purchased a really summery, fresh gown that could be worn to a Black Tie event/wedding. My hubby is wearing a dark suit & tie. DD is wearing a "mini" ball gown w/ sparkle shoes & DS is wearing a dress vest & pants w/ dress shirt & tie. On the semi formal night, we will dress down much more. DD & I will wear fancy sun dresses, DS in khakis and button down shirt & hubby will wear dress pants, button down shirt & sport coat.

Now, after saying that, you really can dress as you feel comfortable & what you feel is appropriate. You always have a better time when you are comfy!

Oh, we find that to be half the fun! We love it! Sulley wears his tux and I have a lovely navy blue gown that is that crinkle material and packs so nicely! For semi-formal night I have a LBD in the same type material and Sulley wears a suit. WE are jeans and tees at home and don't go out to eat fancy...so when we cruise we do love to "do it up" :rotfl:
That said, there are people in nice dresses and slacks and button down shirts...you see the whole gamut.

My fervent wish is to be in Lumiere's for formal night! I seem to ALWAYS be in Parrot Cay! :confused3 :lmao:

We are dressing up for formal night, although we chose to eat at Palo that evening as the Prince and Princess menu is my least favorite of the restaurant menus.

fyi - For those who weren't able to get reservations on Palo, they are taking ressies for our cruise!

What a change in weather! Friday was 90-ish and Saturday was 65! I like 65 much better!!

Went to exercise again today. Plan to get up and go at 6:00 tomorrow. How many days do I have to go before it becomes a habit??? :rotfl2:

We always dress up for formal night. DH wears a tux, DS a suit etc. It's a nice night to get a good picture for our Christmas card ;)

All for now,
Gailyn

Fingers crossed for you! We are flying Jet Blue since they now fly out of Bradley (International Airport in CT) and they allow 1st bags FREE! I LOVE IT!!! I am soooo sick of paying for bags! We fly quite often and those fees add up!

Anywho...I have ordered my dress & shoes for Formal night, so now all of our Formal attire is complete! Just have to finish getting my FE gift packages together, finish my packing lists, start packing up my "send ahead" box, purchase last minute travel items & get our door magnets put together!

2 Months til we meet!

Are we on the same flights Rachael? We are flying out on Friday afternoon on JB and the 12:45 to get home after we get off the ship. That would be too funny.

As for formal wear, we aren't going real formal. I have a long-ish black dress that I will wear, and DH will have shirt and tie (not sure we will pack a coat for him or not). Need to get DS some pants for the cruise, but his will be more casual. I can't see spending $$ on dress pants that he will only wear to dinner on the cruise. DD always has some fancy dresses, so she is all set.

Right now I have Palo brunch on the first sea day and dinner on the Grand Cayman night. Not sure if we will keep both, need to figure that out with DH.

We just added 2 more cabins to the FE list, so up to 28 cabins...still waiting on details from RachelAtt and need a couple of questions answered from seba1 on the additional rooms that were just added.

I am getting nervous on how many to actually plan for to give out for the FE! The deadline is still a couple weeks away, but I have to order something for my gift. Anyone think we should bump up the deadline a little for those of us who have to rely on ordering/shipping?

Other than updating the FE, I am busy at work and with the kids softball and flag football. Our weekends are booked with games (both days) until the 2nd weekend of November which doesn't give me much planning time! Work has been insanely busy (which is good and bad at the same time). All I know is that I cannot WAIT for our cruise for some nice relaxation!

Off to work...have a great day everyone...

Thank you. We booked for Tuesday night as well. Now just need to get the dinning rotation right.

I've heard that you can change your dining room rotation once you're on the boat. Maybe that can guaranee your seating at Lumiere's. :thumbsup2

I meant Lumiere's! Goodness, my brain isn't working! :upsidedow
We did the switching of dinner seating before and it caused a few problems. It's not worth the hassle in this case IMHO.

.

I'm getting nervous too, I'm already having to go back to the store, and it will take me a bit to get these done. This is my first FE experience....we have it as the 15th of October now, right? That's a little over two weeks away. Goodness! September has FLOWN by! Hope October does as well!
Have a wonderful day!

We are on the same flight going home on the 4th....too funny! We are flying into Orlando the week before the cruise & staying at Beach Club the week of Thanksgiving.

I think we should move the deadline up a little...I have to order a couple different items and will need that extra delivery time!

Have a good day...I'm gonna try even though it is super dreary weather here!

When is the cut off for the FE? :lmao: I have to get the ball rolling on that- I know what we wnt to give I just have to put it together :goodvibes
And I still need to get FEs for our staterooms :rotfl2:

I am hoping to dress up for formal night, but my tux needs some adjustments :) Depending on what happens with my tux, I might have to "dress down"

Right now the cutoff to join is October 15, but so far the Connecticut Contingency :rotfl2: is proposing to make that earlier...Thoughts from everyone else?

We did the whole tux and dress up thing for our first cruise and had some nice pix taken. But since then, we haven't been getting formal pix taken and thus haven't bothered to drag along the tux. So alas we won't be stylin like some of you (though Mina and the girls always look great).

agree- a tad earlier helps us figure out what and how many.....

Wow! I've been busy and so have ya'll!! :lmao:

FE CUT OFF - I'm agreed on bringing it foward, especially as we've had a run on people signing up recently so hopefully we won't cut out too many more by bringing it forward some.

FORMAL NIGHT - DH will be in a dark suit and I'll be in a LBD. That's as dressy as we can go given the packing situation - I'm already stressing over getting everything packed! :scared1:

The weather in Texas is wonderful! It's so nice to feel like we are getting a touch of fall - we don't always get fall weather, more of summer today/Christmas tomorrow :rotfl:

I'm going to jump on moving the FE deadline up as well. We have had quite a few join recently and I'm getting nervous as I need to order my items as well as finish making the ones that I'm working on. I've got 26 done so far...
