~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

The fury catamaran sounded fun as well, but not sure if DH will let us off the boat at all in cozumel. however, if he does, Nachi is sounding good to me with all you talking about it, too!

May have to look into that some more....

It's beautiful here in CT. mid to upper 70s sunny with a breeze. Perfect for biking (DS and I biked 10 miles today) and then his flag football practice. DH and DD had softball practice. We are now getting ready to head to a minor league baseball game tonight...

HI everyoe are we all excited 2 months and 22 days till we start our vacation, On the last day Friday Dec 3 at 10am make sure u look over on Castway beach I will be getting married...I am so excited thanks for all the advice this board is the best!!!

Jeff - I just noticed that you went on the mexican riviera cruise. We are doing that in April. I'm going to pm you to see what excursions you would recommend.

We had a good day of soccer today. The rain stopped and it was cool for the spectators but perfect for the players.

Just relaxing tonight and having a little wine and surfing disboards :surfweb:

Have a nice night!
Gailyn:)

It's getting closer! What a wonderful way to start your life together! Where on CC will the wedding be?

Another beautiful day here in CT...low 80s with a breeze (all the windows in the house are open - yippee!)....heading out on a family bike ride as soon as I can get DH moving. We have been doing 10 - 16 miles every weekend day for the past 6 weeks, it's great to be doing this with the kids. :goodvibes

Hi all, our family is getting so excited for the cruise! DH and DS can't wait. DD doesn't know what to expect (she's 15 months)

Has anyone ever cruised pregnant? I'll be 22 weeks when we sail (just missing the cutoff - whew). BUT, just found out we're having twins! I've sailed with a newborn, DD was 13 weeks on her first cruise, but am not sure about doing it while doubly pregnant.

Anyone have any advice/experience with cruising while pregnant? Thanks so much in advance!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Now that I made my 10 posts, I don't have to post nonsense!

I am on my way out to get the Disney Passporter! Although this will be my 5th Disney Cruise, I am hoping there are still little surprises/hints waiting for me.

Robyn

Is anyone doing the Fury Catamaran snorkel and beach party??

We will be doing the Fury Catamaran. It sounds like exactly what DH, DS9 and I want - cocktails for grownups, activity for all of us.

Congrulations on the twins! I can't help with advice on cruising when pregnant, but I have twins myself, so maybe I can help with any questions on that front! :yay:

Did you book on your own or through Disney? I will have to check out the link in passporter to see the photos and details. It did interest me before, and I'm hoping that if it's a Disney excursion, DH will be more accepting of getting off the ship...

I cruised while pregnant with my first son. I was 2 days shy of the cut off as well so I totally understand that risk. I did have my doctor fill out the medical form. I also had ginger tablets in case I had motion sickness. I didn't feel bad until the last night when we were crossing back through the gulf stream. That was awful because I had something to eat that I guess I shouldn't had and I had already put my tums in the luggage to go down the next morning. So, keep the tums with you. Drink lots of water and use the comfy chairs to put your feet up and nap.

I was wondering if it had been decided where/when we will be meeting everyone? Just trying to plan our first day on the ship.

Thanks,
Robyn

Saoirse - Welcome and Congratulations on twins!!:goodvibes

We have narrowed down our cozumel excursions to either Nachi or the Fury Catamaran sail and beach party. DD12 and I would like Nachi, DH and DS 11 would like Fury. :confused3

We're thinking of booking capt marvin's half or full day excursion in Grand Cayman. The full day has 3 snorkel stops including sting ray city and a conch dive?. It also includes lunch grilled at Yacht Club beach. They will also add a short city tour for $30 which stops at the turtle farm. I emailed capt marvins to see if we would have time for the full day or if we would have to do the half day.

Jenny - sorry that Scott has to teach a class tomorrow. That ruins a holiday weekend!

Have a nice night!
Gailyn:)

Darcy,
I can't book through Disney for one more long week, but I was planning to book the Fury Catamaran through Disney.

Is there a list of kids and their ages? DD and DS are interested in finding a couple "pin pals" before the cruise. They really enjoyed this on our last cruises and it helped them feel like they had some friends on board :).

DD Nicole is 12 and DS Matthew is 11.

All for now,
Gailyn:goodvibes

Has anyone heard who our CD will be? I am hoping for Brent. We had him for 3 of our 4 cruises and we just loved him.

Robyn

i just cancelled the Mayan Ruins tour and booked the Fury Catamaran on Cozumel after asking DH and the kids which they would prefer. maybe this will entice DH to actually let us DO it since it sounds like fun. :goodvibes

Also, after reading some other threads about the Hyatt at MCO (I already had a reservation through AAA there), I changed my booking and used my Delta miles plus cash (didn't have enough points). BUT...I spent 1/2 of what I was paying out for the AAA rate, so that is always a nice thing! I would never get to enough miles for a flight anyway, so glad I was able to use these points!

Enjoying the last day of the long weekend with another day of great weather....

Hello fellow cruisers to be! This is our 1st Disney Cruise and we're soooo excited! There are 3 of us from St. Louis:

Todd (DH) - 39
Baron (DS) - will be 3
Annabel (me) - 37 (but feel like 29)

One question - I see everyone referring to a website. Can someone please forward me the link? The pics are beautiful!

Thanks ... looking forward to meeting you all!

Annabel :goodvibes

Welcome Annabel and family! If you are referring to the website that is mentioned in the beginning of this thread, that doesn't exist. The person that created it had to cancel their cruise. It's just us now chatting away as we approach our sail date closer and closer!

Got it. Thanks, Darcy. I've not had the chance to read through the entire thread but will try to do so by the end of this week.

Just curious - anybody going on this cruise with a 3 - 5 year old in tow? (no pun intended, really.) Just would like to introduce my 3 yo DS to some friends so he doesn't get too lonely. Am nervous about leaving him by himself even for a little while at the Oceaneers Club with strangers ... even if they're from Disney.

Thanks!

Annabel
