~ºoº November 27, 2010- Western Magic! ºoº~

My family and I are going on the cruise Nov 27th and would like to join the meet and greet and get involved in the FE. I can not PM anyone because I haven't posted 10 messages and am new to this site. How do I get you my information?

Thank you,
Robyn

Welcome, Robyn!!! This is a good group! It should be lots of fun!!! I'm getting so excited, I can hardly wait!:banana::banana:

Welcome Robyn! Glad that you're joining us! November 27th will be here before we know it!

Darcy - I completely agree with your observations about the school start dates. It doesn't make any sense. Thanks for letting me know about the other zip line option.

I'm so glad it's Friday!!!:goodvibes

It was for Florida residence. It was $1000 cheaper than what I was paying in May. I definately use the extra money for all the pictures I buy!!!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Like I said before I have been on 4 previous cruises, but I never got involved with the Meet and Greets. I am looking foward to it this time. 5th times a charm, I guess!

Congrats on the savings....and it wouldn't have helped me, they don't give CT resident rates. :rotfl2:

I just checked DCL and there are lots of categories that don't come up as available, not even as Guarantee!

Not listed:

Cat 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12!!!

Dang...looks like we are going to be on a pretty full cruise!

When I was booking there was only cat 10 left. I think you are right, that it is going to be very full. That's OK with me. The more the merrier (sp?).

I hate to be a pain, but I need to get 10 posts, so I can Private Message. I only need 4 more, so I am going to post this same comment 4 times.

Sorry!

LOL! You made it to 10 posts!!! I cashed in on that same FL resident rate. Just checked our cruise and it looks like every category is still available, even with the FLR (well, FLR did not have 12 or 3...but from past experience I'm not sure they have ever offered cat 12s with FLRs).

We are getting even closer!!!

I played with the reservation system this afternoon, and when I used our family of 4 got the same availability as DLW8, but when I put in 2 adults, everything came up. So, perhaps it is not cabins but kid capacity?

Interesting. I just hope that means it won't be over crowded with kids as I've read some posts about when it's Kids Sail Free...

In any event, I won't be at work and will be on vacation with The Mouse, so what can be bad about that?

With our 2 newest additions, here are the current numbers for the FE

# of Cabins 22

# of Girls 15
# of Boys 15
# of Adults 40
Total # of People 70

We were just on a Med sailing that was completely sold out. First time we have sailed like this - and there were a ton of older kids (pre-teens, teens). Did I notice? yes a little. Did it affect our cruise in any way? Nope. So don't worry about that part of it. Like you say, we're on vacation with the Mouse in the Caribbean no less.:banana::banana::banana:

Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start. It's rainy, windy and upper 60's here. DS is in a soccer tournament all weekend -not the sunny camp chair weather I had anticipated!!:confused3

We're still looking at excursions for cozumel. Is anyone doing the Fury Catamaran snorkel and beach party?? The kids looked at the pictures and like the water trampoline and slides! It's either that or Nachi cocum for us.

Well - off to more soccer.

Robyn - Welcome!! Good job on getting to 10 posts :thumbsup2 I see another reason for me to move closer to the mouse seeing as you get discounts on WDW and the cruise!! That's awesome. :wizard:

Jeff - thanks for the info on Captain Marvins, I'm going to book with them directly, good to know about the boarding time etc, makes sense about the check in vs departure time. :thumbsup2

Seeing as this is our first cruise we'll never know the difference between crowded/not crowded :lmao: Food, drink, the sun, the sand, the sea and the mouse....what could be wrong with that? :goodvibes

Happy Labor Day weekend to everyone. DH's employer has decided in their infinite wisdom to schedule a training class he is scheduled to teach starting on Monday :confused3 so he has to leave tomorrow which has made the weekend very non-holidayish for us, but just thinking about the days ticking down to our vacation makes it all worthwhile. ;)

We actually had booked the Fury but decided we wanted something quieter so we went for Nachi. Have read some reviews of the Fury that are not glowing -- not in terms of the crew etc. but the passengers who get too drunk and obnoxious. Again, really wanted to do something quieter and the pool and swim up bar at Nachi look nice too.

Or, instead of kids, perhaps it was that the cabins in that class were for 3 vs. 4 - as I only tried the site with 4 or 2.
