BTW, this was just the laugh I needed this morning. Haven't been doing much laughing this week. After dealing with the unexpected car repairs of late June, we had our outdoor hose (which is on the south wall of our house) burst on Saturday while we were away at a family reunion for the day. From the amount of water outside, it looks like it ran full-force for at least 7 hours or so before we returned home and found it

. Keep in mind we have just had our old driveway removed 3 weeks ago in preparation for a new one, so right now its just gravel (meaning there is no proper drainage or grading until the new pavement is poured......so all the water sank right down into the earth next to the foundation). Needless to say, some of the thousands of gallons of water seeped into our house and caused a little bit of damage to our rec room and downstairs bathroom

. We now need to do some foundation repair before the new driveway is poured......which is going to be another $3000-7000 on top of the $4096 for the new driveway

.
Yep, its been a bad week.
Add this on top of the the new kitchen floor that we installed earlier this year ($1600), the new interior doors we purchased and installed ($2000) and the new eavestrough that was put on in the spring ($1000) and I am almost ready to go crazy

.
This has been a great house so far (we have been there three years with zero problems before now) and I love our neighbourhood, but quite honestly, for two cents I could list the dastardly place right now and move to an apartment.
Okay, pity party over. Thanks for letting me vent.
