I was wondering that myself. My DS17 will go to Disney on a class trip next March. He will still be 17, as will most of the class. And in 2000 we brought my sister with us. She was 16 at the time and we stayed at the CBR. She was supposed to have a connecting room, but wound up getting one about four or five rooms down from us. I had no qualms having her down there :rotfl2: Jeez, I must have thought she was so old then...if my kids were that far away now I'd be checking on them quite often!

In 2007 I went with my best friend right after graduating high school. When we arrived I stopped at the restroom while she went to check in, and they wouldn't let her because she was under age - she turned 18 the next day. The rest of the day we made a big deal about me being her chauffeur and I had to keep her out of trouble. :)

Do we request via here (or pm)?

If here, Could I please request two for our upcoming trip. Our disboards names are
pjstevens
dstevens

and I'd like Micky & gang

Thank you very much.

Lime Green Mickey Heads are here!!!! I finally got around to getting the new ones finished up for this years Team August! Those who had them last year will notice a few changes...the lime green is definitely brighter and it prints out just about right on my printer. (Went thru many shades of testing lol) Also redesigned the font a bit so more of the image shows thru. The printed size as is comes out to about 9.5" wide by 7.5 inches tall. Since they are a .png file they resize pretty well so you should be able to print in any size.

They are fully customizeable! Just let me know what design you would like and I can usually have it ready for you in a day or so. I'll use your forum user name by default, but if you want something different just let me know! Also if you want, I can change the background to just about any character but realize that some may not work well with the shape of the text.

So here are this year's 2013 Team August LGMH's!

Mickey and the gang!

Welcome! Your pug is so cute - I have a pug too!

We are doing the Wild Africa Trek too! I am so excited. We booked the one at 9:30 on 8/21 - I can't wait to hear your review!

Thanks about the pug. That was my Abbey. I lost her last summer. After nine months I finally broke down and brought another rescue into the home. Bella is our new (6 1/2 years old) black pug with just the sweetest personality. I didn't think I could love another one.

As for the Trek, I am really excited. I was looking for some reviews though to see how 'bad' the later ones are with the $50 discount ($100 savings). I was not so happy to get a $2000 bill from the IRS yesterday (that's got some figuring out to be done). No way to cancel our trip, too many things already paid for (non refundable flights, priceline car, etc) and my points I borrowed and know we wouldn't have a chance to use them before the end of our use year. (all kinds of issues so this trip MUST GO ON!!!!)

Oh my gosh, sorry for venting my life story here. I'm just so blown away that I forgot there were such groups like this (we have cruise groups, which I am typically the starter as we normally book the day it comes out if it's something we are really saving towards). I just requested to join the facebook group too!

Great seeing you here too!!! I can't believe it's been almost two years since our Dream cruise.
I know, it's been awhile! We went on the same cruise again last year and will be on the Magic for the first time next year. Can't wait to see the Magic after it's refurbishment!

Is it August yet????

Seriously time feels like its standing still! I caved this week and bought a new lens for my camera and even more clothes for the holiday. At this rate my suitcase is going to be bursting at the seams. I can't stop spending money because i'm fed up of waiting to go away :rotfl: I'm just waiting until i get paid next week so i can order my photopass + and then i can get all excited about that arriving in the mail.

I wish I had kids to keep me busy and take my mind off things, i can't wait for the day I can introduce a little one to the wonders of Disney and brainwash them into loving it as much as I do.

Only 57 days to go

Quick question - if I check in online at 60 days can I still change my reservation before 45 days? We're not sure DH will get his leave approved :/

Ugh, sorry to hear about that. We've had some unplanned expenses come up as well (also to the tune of thousands of dollars), but we are pressing on! We've cut back this vacation as much as possible, so I am simply happy to be going at this point!

I had been wondering the same thing in the event we needed to cancel or change something. Personally, I wouldn't chance it. I've read that 45 days is the true cutoff before fees are assessed, but in the wonderful world of Disney, people have gotten different answers from different CM's. There was at least one thread where someone was told that online check-in starts the penalty clock, even if it is not your 45 day cutoff yet. Take it with a grain of salt, but I would hold tight. :)

For those of you with unexpected bills and money woes.. just keep plugging along. I know how you feel. It felt like every time I was ready to make a payment something broke, or the cat got sick, or some unexpected bill was due. It was ridiculous for awhile there. I really started thinking this trip wasn't going to happen because I refuse to go into debt for it.
But things have gotten steadily better this last little while. In fact an unexpected check came in the mail today, a neighbour paid me back for a concert ticket I bought her daughter last December, and every outstanding daycare payment was settled up today!!!
I made a planned $600 payment on our trip this morning and have enough to make more than that again tonight!!:cheer2:
I thought it was going to be down to the last second but we're looking good! I only have $800 to go!!

So don't lose hope. Just keep swimming as Dory says!:grouphug:

Wow, that's awesome news! We also won't go into debt for vacation. We are keeping our grand total (package, food, gas, everything) under $2000, so it's as low as we can possibly go. It'll be down to the last second for us, but we'll be make it! :cheer2:

We came back from vacation with a huge chunk of it still to pay off on a credit card once and I was sick about it. Here I was completely bummed that vacation was over, and still stuck paying for it. Learned my lesson that time. Sometimes we cut it close but it feels better this way:)

Been there, done that. One year, we were planning on having a leisurely check-out day at the resort, followed by an overnight stay in Savannah sightseeing. At that point, I was so ancy about how much money we had spent and how much we were still going to spend. So I got my DH out of the pool immediately and we spent the day driving straight home! That started my love affair with short (and inexpensive) vacations. I don't ever want to have that sickening feeling of overspending again. That's one of the reasons I love Disney--because it can be customized for virtually any budget!

Couldn't agree with you more!!! Nothing brings home reality sharper than money worries at the end of the trip!
We'll still do pretty long trips to justify the cost of airfare but I always go with some sort of deal. It would kill me to pay full price at this point.

ITA! I also refuse to go into to debt for vacations (as much as I love them). I would much rather make payments throughout the year then to come home and still owe Disney.

I am able to enjoy our trips so much more when it's all paid for before we go.:cool1:

Does anyone know how long I have to wait for my voucher for photo pass +? I want to preorder but I want to make sure it arrives before I leave. I am leaving in 35 days for our road trip. We are going to tennessee, georgia and florida(disney) can't wait.

I'm sorry about Abbey :( I had two and lost my oldest a year and a half ago. My other pug was so distraught. Here's a picture of them...she would always lie with her arm around him :)

Hugs for the money troubles!! I know how that can be. We had a very expensive May, and I was starting to worry a little, but fortunately (??:confused3) we are loose with spending so when I tightened the belt this month, we recouped a lot of it quickly. And ugh on the IRS...i just made my estimated tax payments for June...never a fun day around here when those are due. Glad you found us!

Mine came very quickly - less than the suggested two weeks. If you do it now you should be fine!

Could she be suffering from allergies? Jake suffers from severe seasonal allergies (he is on Singulair, Advair, Omnaris, and eye drops from May - October, or until we start to get our overnight freezes), and some of your DD's symptoms sound just like what he gets. I was chatting with the pharmacist on Tuesday evening when I went to pick up another round of his medications, and he was saying that allergies are worse this year than in previous years due to the late spring and the larger than average amount of rain we've been having (in our neck of the woods, anyway). So maybe that might be it?

You, Gina are spot on! The Dr said the same thing. She didn't prescribe her anything for it though.
