I know hey! We called this morning and they said takethe receipt to the view center in the parks a d they will call the office to confirm we purchased and give us the lanyard. Ten when we get back home everything should be fine but if not to call them right away....i hope it shows up today as this seems like an ordeal haha.

I'm getting so antsy! Time was going by so quickly and now that the trip is actually close, it's like time has slowed to a halt. Come on Disney trip, hurry up and get here! :hyper:

Soooo right there with you. My road trip begins in 1 week and I cannot wait!!!!

I'm also right there with you. I have to find something to occupy my time to help speed up the time. But then again I start thinking about the trip being over and I start getting the trip over blues. Just can't win. Need a longer trip.:goodvibes

Lol I fear the "trip over" blues! If only the trips could last forever... But then I'd have nothing to countdown to or plan for lol!

I think the blues will be worse this year knowing we won't be back for three years this time... Even though I'll be pushing to book the bounce back lol

Well Disney has a job opening at the Hilton Head DVC for maintenance and DH just applied. Just got the email that they got his application and are looking over it so here's hoping. We would be a days drive from WDW and be able to have cast member discounts for our stays. Wonder if DH would have to take the Traditions class for a maintenance position. I would love that. :goodvibes

Crossing fingers. Hoping this will be a positive change and not a negative one.

Ok, please take a look at my touring plan since I've added FP+. Let me know what you think.

Tuesday, 8/20: drive 12 hours (at least). Hoping to be at POP by 8pm. Let the kids swim if they want to.

Wednesday, 8/21: Sleep in. Arrive at Epcot for World Showcase opening at 11. Sign up for Agent P's Adventures. Travel the World clockwise, doing Kidcot stops along the way. Maelstrom FP 11-12. Eat lunch at Kringla. Travel the World until about 3pm. Go back to POP to swim. Eat dinner at food court. Back to Epcot. Travel the World counter-clockwise. I have Soarin' FP from 7-8 and TestTrack from 8-9. Watch Illuminations.

Thursday, 8/22: MK Rope Drop. Welcome Show is at 7:50 for 8am EMH. Planning to be at park by 7:30. Be at bus stop by 7? Or 7:15? Head straight for Tomorrowland. Ride Buzz, then other attractions in the area. Work our way towards Frontierland by 10:30 for our FP at Splash, 9:50-10:50 window. Go straight from Splash to BTMRR for 10:50-11:50 FP. Hopefully ride without issue, be off by 11, and head to BoG to wait standby for lunch. That should give us ample time to be out of there in time for our Little Mermaid FP, 12-1. Next FP is Haunted Mansion/Peter Pan (split group) from 1-2. Head out for the day. Go to POP to swim. DTD for dinner and shopping.

Friday, 8/23: Epcot Future World. EMH. Looking at the open attractions, however, we will not get there until 8:30. 9:10-10:10 FP at TestTrack, 10:10-11:10 FP at Character Spot, 11:10-12:10 FP at Soarin'. Browse Innoventions, ride Finding Nemo in time between FPs. Eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons. Head back to POP to swim. Eat dinner at POP or AoA. Putt-Putt at Winter Summerland.

Saturday, 8/24: MK day 2. Sleep in. Pool time/laundry at POP. Pack up whatever we don't need. Arrive at MK around 2. Celebrate a Dream Come True parade FP 2:45. Ride rides until 4:15 ADR at Plaza. PotC FP at 5:45. Rides/snack, etc. until MSEP FP at 8:35. DILEMMA! I also have a Wishes FP, but I have read the MSEP viewing spot on the Hub may be better than the Rose Garden viewing. It is important to DD to see the projection show. I would like to see it too, but I don't want to have to jockey for position or deal with rude people getting in front of me if we stay on the a hub. Opinions?

Sunday, 8/25: 9:05 ADR at 1900 Park Fare.

Oh, that sounds so exciting. Please let us know how it goes!

What are all the Canadians going doing for cell coverage? I looked into a plan with my carrier and it would cost me lose to $75 to get a little bit of data, I want to make sure I can text some friends while there... Not sure if its worth getting a pay as you go phone when we arrive...

Any tips??

I am going out this evening to add texting and data. It is indeed expensive. Not sure how much data I need tho. 25mb is the smallest but I dont think that will cut it. Probably 100mb. I expect it to cost close to $150 for both my phone and DW's phone :(

Ouch... That's just more than I want to spend, I think we'll use hat we can with the wireless they offer at the resorts and then just unplug and turn off the electronics :-(

Yeah I debated that too but i know I am going to want to use data while in the parks. We are leaving now to go check it out. I will let you know what we get and how much it was. We are with Telus.

We were just offered the wrist bands and dh and I decided to no do it.

We only have 4 1/2 days and we have no idea where we want to be when. We have been tossing ideas about what we want to do in each park but have not set plan. It is just the 2 of us so we are really up in the air with where we are going each day.

Two weeks tomorrow we leave:cool1::cool1:

We're with Telus, and I'm just going to add their US Combo Pass 40 to my plan, it gives 50 min talk time, 50 text msgs, and 25 MB data for $40. That should be good enough for us for a week to call and check on the kids a couple times and send a few texts back home. We'll use the wifi in the parks and leave our cellular data turned off on my phone, last December we found the service to be fairly good. If it does get glitchy then I'll have 25 MB to use. I don't go on Facebook or anything like that though, I only use the data for MDE and Touring Plans Lines app while we're there.

I'm with Rogers and they have a new plan for 7.99 a day for data only. The easy part is you don't have to sign up before you go, it's automatic for roaming. We're not getting any voice. There is fee wifi in all the parks now so a small plan should be enough.

I'm not doing anything. The free wifi in parks and resorts is enough for me. I have an iPhone so with wifi I can iMessage anyone else with an iPhone, which is everyone I'd want to contact while on vacation anyway. My dad may have an international plan because he travels for work, but I'm sticking to wifi. Unfortunately it'll likely be way overpriced no matter what you do :( international roaming is ridiculous

the prices I got were from the lady at the kiosk in the mall I think she was way off on what she said

...in doing some research it looks like I can get an add on for $50 which will include 50 us roaming minutes, 50 us roaming mB and 200 us roaming texts plus unlimited incoming texts.

I just got back and all we added was the texting packages ($40 unlimited). I didnt realize the parks had wifi, not sure why I never checked on that. But the lady at Telus checked at the store and confirmed they did. So that should be fine.

On a side note, out PP+ package didnt arrive in time as we feared. Now we have to go somewhere the first night to get it sorted before our early breakfast at Ohanas the next morning. Oh my!
