Just got a text from DH - his sergeant gave him the heads up that he probably won't have his leave approved and chewed him out for paying for a vacation without approved leave. I knew it was a gamble, but was hoping it would work. It wasn't in writing so there's still a chance he'll get to go - crossing my fingers!

I can't multi quote from mobile, but - we wouldn't reschedule since they can pull the same thing again. They wouldn't let him put in his request until we were 60 days out. That was memorial day, so we put in at 59 and have just been waiting. Obviously, I had to pay at 45, and honestly I booked this vacation when he was still not Afghanistan, but he's been back for 5 months!
My dad and sister are going (partly to watch the kids so dh and I could have alone time) but when I called my dad to tell him about the text he told me that his Dr appointment today took a bad turn and he needs kidney surgery. Waiting for his lab results to see if he needs it immediately. He has MDS (a former of cancer) and beat his 35 year life expectancy, so this trip was a celebration for him, he never thought he'd meet his grandkids, let alone go with them to Disney.
I'm going to have faith that it works out. Miracles happen.

Thanks, yes we have all 3 near me. I never think of looking for luggage at those places for some reason. Duh! I will check them out. I don't need a matching set, just one extra suitcase. I was looking at the rolling duffels on Amazon last night, but I couldn't tell how big they were. I need to see them in person. As for brands or types I have no idea, maybe if you look them up on Amazon you can check the reviews (one of my favorite things to do) and then get one at one of the stores you mentioned.

Happy luggage shopping! Hopefully we'll both have good luck.

Oh my goodness! How nerve wracking! So what will happen if they don't approve his leave? And seriously, who doesn't approve leave that's been requested forever? If they'd been timely he could have cancelled it without paying up front, right? So therefore they must approve his leave. This theory works in my mind...now if only I ran the military!

Yeah, I had the measurements right in front of me...but I relied on the misleading photo and now I have a set of luggage with one much bigger suitcase. I figure that it's being too big is better then too small. Measuring out the sizes on the floor would give you clear idea of size.

You know you're Disney obsessed when.....

Every website you visit with personalized advertisements is advertising a trip to Disney World.

It's going to be a sad reminder when we come back home and the internet wants me to go back!

I know how you feel. I think my kids just think that happens for everyone. They have no idea those ads pop up because of my searches. On a related funny note. I was searching the Disney refurb schedule and typed in Disney rehab. So now I've been getting ads for drug rehab centers and Disney.

This is not fact as I have not actually done this myself yet but I believe each park has a photopass center where you redeem. I know MK is to the right after you walk in ( sorry the name of the place slipped my mind). I am not sure where you are staying but Epcot has one at the international gateway, incase you were entering that way. Sorry, I know this was not that much help.

ETA: I looked online and here are the official Photo Centers...MK Exposition Hall, Epcot Camera Center, HS Cover Story, AK Garden Gate Gifts. You can also redeem at some of the resorts and downtown disney

I've looked and I'll keep trying but I eventually tried chatting with a CM who swears that you exchange them at guest relations... I told here I really thought there was someplace else specific but she insists. I think I'll check with my friend who is a disney TA.

I just edited my post above with the photo centers at each park. It is not guest relations.
